Infertility

New here! (child mentioned)

Hi there!

I just wanted to take some time and introduce myself. I'm 37 and was diagnosed with PCOS in 2010, but I don't ovulate on my own. My DH is 48 with no known issues (well aside from age). This is our second experience with fertility treatments. We were blessed to conceive our daughter with the help of our RE in 2010.

Last cycle ended in a BFN, and we are currently in the middle of one of the longest cycles in history. I started with daily FSH injections (Puregon in Canada) and after 7 days I'm not responding, so I will be started Femera tonight. I've never had any experience with Femera, so if anyone has I would love to hear it!

I am looking forward to getting to know you all.

  • Welcome! I'm glad you were able to find success with your daughter and I hope that this time around is successful for you as well. I have PCOS as well and also don't ovulate on my own, so I know what a challenge that is when trying to conceive. Good luck to you!

  • My friend's 2nd and 3rd cycle were with Femara. Actually she used the generic version - letrozole. she said her cycle was considered a mini-antagonist cycle with Femara around days 2-6. She stimmed with gonal-f, low dose hcg (It is similar to Menopur, but her RE used it because it is lower cost.) Also Cetrotide (similar to Ganirelix, was on back order during her 2nd stim.) She responded quite well to that protocol.. Good luck, hun :)
