  • How've you been doing balancing a toddler(s) and your pregnancy this past week?
Not so well. L has started to wake up screaming, and take 30 minutes to calm and go back to sleep. Mama is going to lose it pretty quick.
How is your DH/SO 'handling' the wonderful world of pregnant wife+toddler?
He does pretty well when he isn't dealing with mild food poisoning.

I am going to umpire Wednesday for fun. I get paid, but its a summer league and some of my current students are playing. I also might load up H and L to go watch the 4A state softball tournament that is 1/2 an hour away.

  • How've you been doing balancing a toddler(s) and your pregnancy this past week? Pretty well, overall. A bit more screen time than I'd like but I can live with it

How is your DH/SO 'handling' the wonderful world of pregnant wife+toddler? He's awesome. Super supportive of however I'm feeling and whatever I'm up for, he never complains

    Rants/Raves/Questions: Not right now

Anything you want to add/share? Nothing I can think of

Bonus Question: What's one thing you did this past week for self-care? What's one thing you can/will do this week? I had a networking lunch and took the first steps towards starting my own business. Was nice to 'think about me' and a time post-pregnancy when we'll be in the new normal. This week I'm having girl's night with my sister on Friday and can't wait!

  • How've you been doing balancing a toddler(s) and your pregnancy this past week?
    - I didn't. I was SO sick. DH did everything. All the care for DS, all the house work. He's gone this week and everything is on me (and now he's sick).
How is your DH/SO 'handling' the wonderful world of pregnant wife+toddler?
    - My poor man. He REALLY wanted a second. He knows how incredibly awful I am at being pregnant and before we started trying I asked if he was ready to be single parent for a while in the event I am as sick as last time and he said yes.... SO he is really rising to the occasion but I could tell that by the time he left for his trip, he was run ragged. He is a champion.
    Rants/Raves/Questions:
DH may be stay at home dad for a while. Anyone else have a stay at home dad?
    Anything you want to add/share?
So far, my week of just me and DS is off to a good start. We had a great day yesterday and I feel so lucky that this little boy is mine. He is so curious, engaging, happy, attentive, ADORABLE, and adaptable. I feel like I have the perfect little guy except when he likes to be naughty. He will walk up and shake wires or touch a light bulb and raise his eyebrows like... see what I'm doing here?! We just started time outs and the message is slowly coming across.
Bonus Question: What's one thing you did this past week for self-care? What's one thing you can/will do this week?
Last thurs I got a pedicure. I was so out of it though from being sick and MS that I barely noticed what was happening. I chose a beautiful blue though and it makes me happy :)
This week... I dunno. make sure I work out. Get myself some nutritious food.

How've you been doing balancing a toddler(s) and your pregnancy this past week?
I'm hanging in there. My patience level is sooooo low and DD is getting to the age where she tests everything and I usually just end up giving her my iPad because it keeps her happy. I feel bad, but tell myself that someday we'll make up for it.

How is your DH/SO 'handling' the wonderful world of pregnant wife+toddler?
He's such a trooper. He works all day, picks up whatever random food I've been craving, comes home and cooks and entertains DD before he gets her ready for bed. He is a saint.

    Rants/Raves/Questions:

    Anything you want to add/share?
DD is getting used to me holding other people's babies, which makes me feel better, but I still worry about how much her little world will be rocked in December.

Bonus Question: What's one thing you did this past week for self-care? What's one thing you can/will do this week?
I joined a diet bet (not solely focused on weight loss) with some ladies from DD's BMB. I'm thankful for the accountability for drinking more water, eating healthier, and getting more exercise. DH gave me a gift certificate for a pedicure for Mother's Day, so maybe I'll do that this week!

  • How've you been doing balancing a toddler(s) and your pregnancy this past week?
Depends on the day. Today, I'm doing great, but others days I struggle. I'm having a hard time keeping up with her energy.

How is your DH/SO 'handling' the wonderful world of pregnant wife+toddler?
He has done a good job at stepping up when I need him to, but I think he gets slightly annoyed.

    Rants/Raves/Questions:
We broke my daughter ohrr pacifier this weekend. She did so good. I'm so glad to not have to deal with that anymore.

    Anything you want to add/share?
My daughter is stinkin' cute! She is suddenly really interested with playing with dolls. She feeds them and talks to them. I love seeing her grow and develop.

Bonus Question: What's one thing you did this past week for self-care? What's one thing you can/will do this week?
I took a nap several days this week. I'm also stepping away when I don't feel well. I need to watch carefully this week that I don't overdo it at work.

Still doing okay. Napping when she does. I'm thankful she still takes a decent nap in the afternoon.

How is your DH/SO 'handling' the wonderful world of pregnant wife+toddler?
He's amazing. Very patient with both of us. ;)

    Rants/Raves/Questions: none today.

    Anything you want to add/share?

Bonus Question: What's one thing you did this past week for self-care? What's one thing you can/will do this week? Trying to not be hard on myself for not getting things done. This will be my ongoing struggle I think.

How is your DH/SO 'handling' the wonderful world of pregnant wife+toddler? Pretty well! He brought me a frozen coke home today.

Rants/Raves/Questions: My acid reflux is driving me crazy

Anything you want to add/share? When did you all start potty training? DS1 just turned 3

Bonus Question: What's one thing you did this past week for self-care? What's one thing you can/will do this week?  I got a manicure on Friday. This week I have no idea.

How've you been doing balancing a toddler(s) and your pregnancy this past week? Good!  DS is in his threenanger stage which is very hard for me to not lose my shit, but I'm really living the 'pick your battles' attitude right now.

How is your DH/SO 'handling' the wonderful world of pregnant wife+toddler? My H is just the freaking best.  He's an awesome, hands on, involved father to DS and knew he'd need to step up a bit with the chasing, playing when I got PG.  He's happy to do it.  He tells me often to go sit down and take a break.  After DS' scary pregnancy, I think he's super in tune with taking on more to make sure I stay healthy.

Rants/Raves/Questions:  We played street hockey today as a family when H got home (it's a toddler size stick set with little collapsible goals).  It was so much fun!

Anything you want to add/share? I spend most of my day wishing I could poop.  That's something.

Bonus Question: What's one thing you did this past week for self-care? What's one thing you can/will do this week?   We started a new bedtime routine for DS and he seems to be doing better at falling asleep on his own.  He also goes back to sleep with very little intervention from us when he wakes in the middle of the night.  This is my win, I'm starting to get some sleep!!! Even if I'm up its for 2 minutes at a time now rather than 45 minutes multiple times per night.  Huge difference!

  • How've you been doing balancing a toddler(s) and your pregnancy this past week? Um. Depends on the day. Some days we just lay on the couch and snuggle/nurse while watching cartoons. AKA mommy dozes. Others we are running errands and playing outside.

How is your DH/SO 'handling' the wonderful world of pregnant wife+toddler? Depends on the day again. Some days he's super dad, but others he gets really frustrated since he works 6 days a week average plus does all of the yard work and stuff. He hates his current job, so that doesn't help stress. The lack of dtd probably isn't helping his mood either lol.

Rants/Raves/Questions: When will my child sleep again? Currently if he goes down at 730 he's up for the day at 430. Putting him to bed at 9 and he's getting up at 6. I think we have to settle for an 830-530 thing because he just isn't one of those kids that needs a ton of sleep and it's really freaking annoying.

Anything you want to add/share? Toddlers are hard, yo. But they give the best hugs and I love yous.

Bonus Question: What's one thing you did this past week for self-care? What's one thing you can/will do this week?
Um. I blow dried my hair? I got a green tea latte at Starbucks? This week I'm going to a baby shower with my college friends!

  • How've you been doing balancing a toddler(s) and your pregnancy this past week?
Doing okay...well actually it was pretty rough. DH was sick with a sinus infection, which clearly meant that he was sicker than I was per man-rules. So it was not a lot of fun wrangling DD with MS. My mom came over to help one night, but the majority of the work was on me.

How is your DH/SO 'handling' the wonderful world of pregnant wife+toddler?
Outside of his 'devastating illness' last week, he's been fantastic. He's changing all of the poo diapers, so I don't have to get extra nauseous. He even cleaned out the fridge, which he had never done before. So without me being able to open it and throw out bad food for 4 weeks, it was a nasty mess.

    Rants/Raves/Questions:
I really miss exercise. I don't manage anxiety well without it. I'm hoping to be able to push through some nausea this week and start back doing something at some point. I held off for a while because of the SCH. But I haven't even had a tiny spot for a week and a half, so I think if I ease into things and avoid ab exercises, I should be good.

    Anything you want to add/share?

Bonus Question: What's one thing you did this past week for self-care? What's one thing you can/will do this week?
I made DH watch DD so I could nap a few days ago. It was difficult for him because she really wanted to climb on top of me and play. But he managed.

This weekend, I'm determined to go indoor rock climbing. I can only do it in first tri while my uterus is tiny, and I really enjoy it immensely. I think it will do wonders for my mood if I take some time for myself to do this.

  • @LinziLoo09 - my climbing gym has pregnant lady harnesses they let people borrow. I climbed until giving birth last time... It was so awesome. Zero impact... Full body. It's one of the only activities that made me feel human! May be worth checking into!
