Upcoming appointments? I had one scheduled for today, but my boss scheduled a mandatory meeting for the same time as my appointment (sure, I'll work my prenatal care around your stupid meetings. Ugh!) Anyway- my appointment is now this Friday, the 20th.
Rants/Raves/Questions? I felt the baby kick for the first time yesterday! I've been feeling flutters for a week or so, but yesterday was the first time I was 100% certain it was her kicking. So exciting!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Nahh, pretty much smooth sailing lately. I've had some RLP here and there, but nothing too bad.
GTKY: We haven't physically started ours, but I have it all planned out. We're going with lavender, gray, and white with no particular theme. Here are some inspiration photos:

Upcoming appointments? Thursday for my anatomy scan one week earlier than scheduled due to heavy bleeding twice in a week. They're not as concerned with the anatomy part of the scan as they are trying to find the source of the bleed.
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant: At triage last week, the dr accidentally said the sex of the baby during the ultrasound which we didn't want to find out and there were notes ALL over our file that stated so. While I wasn't as upset as I thought I'd be, it still would have been nice to not know for the next 5 months as this is our first baby. But now we are team blue instead of team green

We are still going with a gray theme (polka dots, stripes, chevron, quatrefoil- haven't decided on a pattern yet!) as it's easier to add whatever colors we want accessory-wise afterwards since we still aren't telling the gender to our families. And I'm definitely making the curtains and bedskirt bc they are so overpriced to buy!
@szwill86 - I'm sorry to hear about your bleeding. That can be super scary! I hope they're able to find the source and treat it accordingly. I had bleeding in week 13 and it turned out to be a small SCH. I've taken it easy since then and thankfully the bleeding hasn't resurfaced. Also, I'm sorry they revealed the sex. I know accidents happen, but you'd think they'd be pros at honoring those types of requests by now!

The baby is just going to stay in mine and DH bedroom. We plan to buy a house less than a year from now. At that time we will get a house so each kid gets there own room three to one room would be too much on my older two and we wont know the gender of this one for two more weeks
What size is baby? baby is the size of a tall, decaf, non-fat, Frappuccino with whipped cream and caramel drizzle. I love these descriptions haha

Rants/Raves/Questions? I just want to feel the movement already! I know everyone says I probably already do and just don't know it, but I just would feel so much better if I definitively knew I could feel the baby moving around and doing good. The wait until my anatomy scan (at 22 weeks, UGH!) is going to be torture!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I'm becoming slightly less dependent on my diclegis, but still anti-meat. Pasta and fruits all the way.

We are doing a You Are My Sunshine theme with everything grey and yellow. We ordered these prints to go on the wall and I can't wait to paint so we can put them up!

Rants/Raves/Questions? You know what's really fun? Checking the May 2016 group and seeing the photos of their newborns - makes me so emotional and so excited! Can't wait until that is us!!

We're doing gray/white chevron and once we know the sex, we'll accent with another color. Probably either yellow or pink. @copperboom86 - Love the lavender!

Anatomy scan and checkup on the 25th. My regular doc is actually going to be out of the office so we had the option to change the appt to see her or keep the appt and see someone else in the practice. If I go into labor naturally, I’ll just deliver with whatever doc is on at the hospital that day, so I figure we’ll meet this other doc so I can feel comfortable with someone else other than my OB, just in case. We haven’t had any real problems to speak of (except when I learned that Sudafed makes my blood pressure spike into hypertensive range…) so I’m ok with seeing someone else.

I just really want the movement to be steady already. I feel him for a few days, and then very little to no feeling for a few days. I have a theory that it’s because he gets more space and so I don’t feel him as well, but I could just be making that up to make myself feel better lol.

Another yeast infection (boo hiss!). Cravings have been anything with a strong flavor, like super spicy salsa, or really tart lemonade, etc… Even though some of it gives me heartburn I don’t care lol. No real aversions to speak of anymore.

I wish I could say we’re going something really cute and coordinated, but we aren’t doing a theme with this one. I did with DD but since they can’t have blankets or stuffed animals or anything with them in the crib for a while, it seems kind of pointless. I have a few really cute sheets picked out of varying patterns and stuff that we’ll use.
The crib and dresser/changing table are a light birch color and the walls are gray, with a dark gray accent wall. Since baby is going to be sleeping in our room for a few months anyway, that’s all that’s going to be in the nursery for a while.Here are some of the sheets:

We have a 2 bedroom house right now and DD is in her own room on a floor bed. I'm going to attempt a side-car crib situation when Hazelnut comes and use the Rock N Play because it was amazing. I'm sure they'll have to share at one point but we'll see how it works out. Hopefully we can move to a home with more bedrooms in another 3-4 years.
@szwill86 I'm so sorry about the bleeding! That's so scary and I hope they find the source soon and tell you that it's nothing. Man! I can't believe they let the sex slip. I'd be so sad but I'm glad you're taking it well. Come on, doc! Get your shit together!

Wish I didn't have to wait so long between ultrasounds, wish I had the results of my screenings before the 2nd trimester, but just hoping everything is okay and baby is healthy.

Symptoms are good actually, mostly I feel full all the time. Almost drank a glass of champagne for our wedding anniversary yesterday but then the restaurant brought me a glass of Topo Chico with strawberry syrup, it was perfect.

Herring is a family name so it's especially meaningful, plus I love astronomy and the sea. For colors we're thinking Grey moon, yellow stars, teal sea. We're team green, so I hope I don't make it too masculine.

I had my anatomy scan yesterday and we found out we are having a girl! Still doesn't seem real. We went to the OB today and discovered that I've lost weight this month so she gave the go ahead to eat whatever I like. That has never happened to me before.

I'm going with grey walls with birch trees painted on with a woodland animals theme. I plan to use a light purple as the accent color. I'm very excited about our nursery.
