baby movements

I'm 17weeks 6days and I haven't felt my baby moving,should I b worried?

Re: baby movements

  • I started feeling movements right around 17 weeks. My OB told me that it's different for everyone. Some ladies start feeling movement very early and others don't start feeling it until 20ish weeks. Call your OB tho if you are concerned that something is wrong. She/He should be able to help out since they know your medical history.

  • There's an active thread called "are you feeling movements yet?" that should give you some peace of mind. Tons of women have already commented about when they start to feel baby move. It differs a good bit. Give it a glance if you're worried!
  • Some people don't feel baby til late third tri. Some swear they feel baby by 13 weeks. Google anterior placenta.  Your mileage may vary.
  • I started feeling baby move at 13 weeks, but a friend of mine didn't feel movement until 21 weeks. It differs for everyone. And honestly, you might mistake movement for gas in the beginning.
  • Mine moves but I feel it very little, I'm chubby though. Just wait once it starts all the time you'll beg for the food or butt out of the ribs. This is my 3rd
  • 17w5d and 18w5d ultra sound date, not sure which one they're using yet. But this is my third baby and everything is fine (no anterior plascenta) and I have felt very little. Might be happening at night when your sleeping.
I felt my first around 15w, 2nd not until 20w.

  • I'm just now 20 weeks and beginning to feel baby. It's not much right now, though, and I'm still learning the difference between baby and gas. Hah!

I'm almost 18 weeks and I still haven't felt the babies move. Doctor said I should feel it in the next few weeks and husband should feel them in a month or so

  • I felt DD around 18 weeks, and am just starting to feel this LO for sure (not just gas lol) at 16w. The movement is still very slight, so you may be experiencing it and not know it, or maybe not just yet. Both situations are totally normal!

  • With my first I didn't feel him until 20 weeks. If you're worried about it you can invest in a doppler. I have mine from last time and I'll admit, I use it a few times a week. Especially after having a miscarriage it's really good fit my piece of mind

  • I didn't realize what I was feeling was movement until I talked to my OB, but I was about 15 weeks.
  • Movements are so small at this stage it's easy to confuse baby movement with gas/digestion.

  • 18w 3d and FINALLY felt baby move! STM and felt some pressure beginning 16w or so, but tonight were noticeable kicks!
  • 19 weeks 1 day.  I have noticed movements in response to what I'm eating/drinking and even noises.   Seems like baby was more active after my morning OJ and he seemed to respond to the hair dryer this morning.  Could be coincidence but I thought it was cool.
