Bathtime!!!

So I recently heard about the Johnson and Johnson products. I went and bought Aveeno, then found out that is a Johnson and Johnson product as well. I researched all different kinds of baby washes but a lot of them have coconut oil or soy and my daughter is allergic to both. Not sure what to switch to?? any suggestions?

PS I got Shoprite brand night-time baby bath because it says "Quaternium 15 free" but I'm not sure if this is baby wash??

Re: Bathtime!!!

  • I use aveeno baby. I thought the issue was with johnson and johnson and did not affect aveeno. I have a s ton of it from my shower still. Otherwise I really liked honest company's soap its light and smells nice

  • Mustela is my favorite!!
  • For LO's bath I use almond Dr Bronners castile soap. We all use it for bathing, and it's also in our hand soap dispensers. Natural and cheap!

  • I believe the problem with Johnson and Johnsons was fixed a few years ago.
  • We switched from Aveeno baby wash to Cetaphil cleanser recently (doc recommended) because my little one has very sensitive skin. It's definitely working well for us! No more bumps/rashes. We use the Cetaphil moisturizer too right after the bath and once a day mid-morning and it keeps his skin silky smooth.
  • We use Burt's Bees wash and baby oil by BeautyCounter.

  • We use babyganics or Honest Co. Never have had any skin issues.
  • We use California Baby Calendula products and we LOVE them! They're a little pricey, $10-12 a piece for the shampoo/body wash and lotion. But they honestly last a really long time and it's soooooo gentle on her skin. We recently tried their diaper cream and it had her diaper rash healed within 2 days. I would be a spokesmom for their products if I could lol!
  • My LO has allergies and our allergist recommends Dove! So much cheaper then baby products, I use the sensitive one or Aquafor brand when his eczema is acting up

We use Babyganics and California Baby and we've never had any problems.
  • Johnson and Johnson are fine.  As @JenLovesDesign said they changed their product composition years ago despite the fact that it was unnecessary and they were fine to begin with. We use a few different ones, sometimes Aveeno (great for DS1's eczema) and Burts Bees but we still use J&J on a regular basis.

  • Yea, I am not sure about Aveeno. Honest company has coconut oil and my daughter is allergic to coconut.
