My MIL is super pumped about the used pack n play she bought at a yard sale. I haven't seen it yet but tbh, I don't think I love the idea. Used baby stuff with hard, washable surfaces.... I'm all in! But this has soft surfaces where who knows what could be living. Am I being a crazy person?
Re: Used pack n play- opinions please
Locate the model number on the PnP. You should be able to order the bottom (foldable) portion:
https://www.gracobaby.com/replacementparts/pages/replacementparts.aspx
You can also buy approved sheets through graco if you really want (to make sure they fit properly and are not loose).
LFAF Summer 2016 Awards:
Also, that PNP can be designated to stay at MILs house. You can always get a new one for your house.
Good luck!

I don't do day care (except at the gym) but if you plan to- you have to realize that there's tons of stuff they're going to be in contact with that isn't perfectly clean. Even with US standards and regulations etc.
Still, go with your gut (and budget).
The way I see it, a lot of it will only be used for such a short time! I agree with PP to wash it and let it dry in the sun. The material it's made of is made to be easily cleaned. You will also be putting a flat sheet over it. I wouldn't worry too much!
Buying a new mattress to go in there is a small compromise though. I'm not someone who feels like my baby should be in a bubble, but I just don't know enough to KNOW that no serious diseases/bugs/germs couldn't live in that thing. That said, I really appreciate all the feedback!!

Not that you'd want them to eat it, but I feel better about using it than something with other kinds of disnfecting chemicals. Hydrogen peroxide is great too, as it denatures into water.
