Awesome Kid #2: Due November 2016!
Flame Free Friday Confessions
I stayed home with DS on Wednesday since he was sick (pneumonia and breathing issues, ie really sick). Yesterday DH was supposed to take a turn staying home so I could work, but as usual he had a million excuses why he couldn't, then he concluded that we should just send sick DS to daycare. So I stayed home again. This happens every time we have a sick kid and it's his turn to be home. Then he's completely clueless why my career is basically stalling -- I cover every kid sickness, every kid appointment, and every kid project (like bringing Easter eggs to daycare, or food for a party, whatever). In the car on the way to work this morning I let him have it. He admitted it was unfair, but I doubt anything changes next time.

Considering how much she hated that when she was pregnant, I'm shocked how much pouting and judgment she's throwing my way.
Happiness and support...is that too much to ask for?! Otherwise, I might just tell her to GTFO of here until there's a change in attitude.
I haven't seen Drop Dead Fred in years, but I
My confession is that I'm apparently going to spend all afternoon on the couch watching TV. I watched TV over lunch, got sucked into an episode of House and just found A League of Their Own on, so there's no turning it off now
Anyway, evil SIL told me that it was dumb to even try to do a med-free delivery, that cloth diapering would maybe last a day or two until we gave into reality, and that breastfeeding I might as well just give up on since I would probably fail anyway. I was actually really worried about breastfeeding after talking with her, even though my BFF reassured me that she struggled at first but that she was able to successfully BF both of her children. In the end evil SIL was wrong on all counts. Some of it was determination and being prepared, and some of it was just plain luck that enabled me to be successful.
Sorry that was ranty, but don't let negative people get you down! Their story isn't your story and their struggles aren't your struggles. Sure, lots of things about having a baby are hard and we make different choices. And everyone has their own challenges.
