We do both depending on the quality of road/sidewalk we are walking on. Some of the sidewalks in town are TERRIBLE so we still use the car seat for those. The neighborhood roads are good so we usually just put LO right in the stroller.
We use both also. She seems to like being out of her carseat when in the stroller but since she's still a bit wobbly in there, we use the carseat when the terrain is rough.
If he is asleep In his carseat we just transfer it to the stroller. If he is awake, we strap on in the big part and stabilize him with blankets:-) he loves being in the strap in part!
It depends on how hot it is, and where we're going. If we're in the car and then need to use the stroller, we usually just use the carseat, because the regular seat detaches and we leave it at home. The car seat gets pretty hot, though, so we try not to leave her in too long if it's warm, and then we'll use the seat that replaces it.
I've done the stroller thing just once. I wasn't too happy with it, there was no support for his head and I probably won't do it again unless there's support for his head
LO loves the stroller because it leans back to where her head is not bobbling around. She currently hates the car seat so we always put her in the stroller these days
We still use the carseat. Griffin is just about 12 lbs. So he's still a little peanut at 5 mos. I'm thinking though, that as the weather gets nicer, I'll probably adjust the straps so that we can try it out for a walks.
Depends. If I'm walking her around home its the stroller part. But if were at my parents or somewhere else we use the car seat. One less thing to lug around when were out.
It hadn't occurred to me to switch over to the stroller part. DD would probably love it. However, I pretty much just love to look at her when we're walking. So I'll probably hold out on switching it for as long as possible!
LO loves the freedom the stroller provides. The foot rest folds up to help contain him. Just recently I've inclined the stroller and strapped him in so he can look around.
My LO hate the car seat so unless he's asleep and we want him to stay asleep we put him in the stroller. Mine lays down so he's rarely used the car seat, we always have just stuff blankets in there and since its been cold until lately it worked great.
