Sorry if I have missed a post on this somewhere. I have went through the I regret buying post and done a search but can't find anything on specific brands.
Little man has started drooling like crazy and we go through a ton of bibs a day (and he still ends up with wet clothes sometimes). I have some green sprout bibs on my amazon list that have a plastic back but figured I would check with you guys and see what you use before ordering them. My google search has left me more unsure since I am reading stories about some brands with the plastic backs melting in the dryer?
I would also appreciate your input on any video monitors you love/hate. We are trying to transition to his crib since he doesn't seem as comfortable in his rock n play anymore.
Re: Bib and monitor recommendations?
We haven't used any video monitors so I can't help on that one.
No video monitor input since we only use a vtech audio one.
@rzaremba I will keep an eye on it! His pediatrician asked if he had started getting one at his last wellness visit and he hadn't yet. I've been putting a little bit of aquaphore on his chin and neck after bath time and so far it's kept his skin clear.

We had another Summer Infant monitor before this one and it still works great, but they don't make it anymore, so we couldn't get a second camera for it.

This might be a silly question but with your monitors can you see your baby's breathing (their chest rising and falling)? Otherwise I will be just getting up and going into his room anyways
Second, I received some waterproof bibs from Carter's as a gift for DS1, and they worked well. The plastic-y part is an interior lining, so there is fabric on both sides. It's not as crinkly as most other plastic-backed bibs, and I never had an issue with the dryer melting them. They did an okay job at wiping up drool, but I do have to agree that the terry-cloth (or even plain cotton) did a better job of that.

We looked at the owlet monitors when he was younger and decided since we wanted him in our room for 4-6 months anyways we would wait. I figured we would be better off with a regular/video monitor that we can use for awhile. If I can hear him/see him breathing on the monitor when I wake up I think I will be fine. It is just a habit to wake up and check his breathing and then I can fall back asleep.
Right now he will only sleep 1-2 hours in his crib without needing to be soothed so I've been sleeping in his room. He isn't comfortable in his rock n play anymore and the only other place he sleeps really well is the couch which means I am sitting beside him awake
Ive never used it because I don't really worry about that and we only got that monitor because it happened to marked down to cheaper than the basic ones at BRU.
