  Our son has reflux, he is on Prevacid twice a day.  It's a dissolving tablet, he has half in the morning before his first bottle, and half at night before his last bottle.  He's been on it for months.  We weaned him off of it just after his 6 month appointment and he was doing okay, then a few weeks later he came down with a stomach virus, with lots and lots of vomiting.  Our pediatrician was concerned that on top of the virus, he still might be having reflux issues, so back on the meds we went.  He said to keep him on it for at least another two weeks to a month, and then we will try taking him off of it again.
  
  Our son will be 8 months on Saturday.

  My daughter will be 9 months on the 20th and she takes 1 ml of Nexium twice a day for reflux. I asked her Dr at her 6 month appointment about the meds and she said that the GI specialist she works with likes to let babies age and weight out of the meds as opposed to reducing the dose or frequency.

  My son is 36 weeks and is still on Zantac twice a day for his reflux. I plan on checking with the doc at his 9 month appointment whether we need it still.
