I just started baby wearing with my fourth baby (and I totally wish I would've done this a few kids ago). I have an Ergo with the infant insert and I LOVE it. However, I feel like it's a bit bulky for certain things (like just wearing her around the house or to church to keep my hands free for seperating the other three kids). I have my eye on the Infantino Mei Tai carrier, but I've never heard anyone talk about it. Any reviews for this carrier or suggestions for another affordable lightweight option?

It's a boy! Grow baby, grow! EDD: 4/22/2016
I have..
2 Tula SSCs, an Ergo SSC, a Tula ring sling, a Moby, and a MiaMily SSC.
So far, all I've used are the Tula SSC and RS. I love the ease and support of the ring sling for being teeny tiny. She's still a bit small for the Tula with insert.
Design wise, the Tula is my favorite SSC for function and looks. They retain resale value well too, if that's your thing.
Im looking into getting a Fidella FlyTai. It's a MeiTai style carrier made from a woven wrap. I really want to try it. Zero self control over here.
This time around I have a ring sling too and it seems like it will be simple for those kinds of outings, though I haven't tried yet.
I I love my Ring Sling for fast ups for in and out of the house/store. I love my Mei Tai for its stuffier but versatility. Your most versitile carrier is going to be a woven wrap which has a bit of a learning curve but worth learning.
I have only used it around tho house but it's nice to get the chores done and know baby is close and safe . It puts her to sleep most of the time
It's so easy to use, and there's many positions you can put the baby in. My baby falls asleep within a few minutes when she's in it.
I like it a lot, now that I have the right size. I started with size small, but switched to the xsmall and it holds baby much better. If you get the K'tan I would recommend getting a size smaller than you think you need.
The only down side is that it strains my back a bit because I have TERRIBLE posture and no more ab muscles. I'm hoping carrying her around will help with both of those issues.
We wore ours to a tball game and Target today and it was wonderful.
See if you have a local baby wearing lending library so you can try things on.
