Hi ladies!
I've debated joining this board for a while, I understand I may not have been on this journey for as long as some, but I hope you'll accept me anyway.
I have been married to my high school sweetheart for almost 2 years, we are both 24. I was diagnosed with endometriosis at age 18 and have continued to struggle with this disease the past 6 years after my first surgery. We knew we faced possible fertility struggles before we got married. My second surgery was 9 months ago and we, along with our RE, had hoped that would be our best window to conceive naturally.
So we've officially been TTC for 8 months. Today is CD 1 of cycle 9. Made for a rough Mother's Day weekend. We see our RE again this month to discuss a new treatment plan. Surgery and an HSG in August showed a partial blockage in one Fallopian tube, and moderate scar tissue damage in my abdominal cavity, abdominal wall, and lower intestines.
Trying to remain hopeful about creating a new plan, but also letting myself mourn that conception didn't happen naturally after surgery.
A bit about me: I'm a redeemed daughter of Christ and He writes on my heart daily that I am worthy, I hope I can offer the same encouragement to you. I'm a painter and studied art in college, I currently teach preschool part time which I LOVE, I have a sweet almost 6 year old puppy who is spoiled rotten, I love exercise when my health allows: hiking, running, yoga and dance. I love cooking! I try to maintain a mostly gluten free diet to help with endo related inflammation. I love reading, and watching HGTV, especially Fixer Upper.
