    1. I left work 2 hours early yesterday because I wasn't feeling good. Got home, took a nap, woke up and then nausea started. It was nice to nap though.
    2. 2 more weeks until my next appointment.
    3. One week until we see Kevin Smith.
    4. I am ready for the weekend already.
    5. I finally went through some boxes in our basement and organized our rummage sale things. I posted some up online and then will put the rest on a rummage sale later this month. Yay for extra money to spend on the baby.
    6. I am really going to try and make it to the gym today. I skipped last week.
    7. It's raining here. I wish it wasn't, but we could use the rain.
    8. I got my eyebrows waxed last week and I love the shape of them now.
    9. I really need a trim, I have so many split ends.
    10. Thats all for today. Happy Tuesday!

@lilwonder Not sure if it's legit, but I read that you shouldn't get new eye glasses/contacts while pregnant. Your vision changes while pregnant and changes again or back to normal after. Like I said I don't know how reliable that info is.

Sorry. Stupid click button thing. Damn internet.

    1. It's supposed to rain all day today here, but I don't actually mind, because it's good, ploppy spring rain, and it makes everything feel alive!
    2. But the thought of laying out to tan in the sunshine does sound utterly delightful, @DunkinDecaf. I definitely wouldn't complain if tomorrow decided to be warm and sunny instead.  B)
    3. H and I were road-tripping around the Southeast for six days straight last week, and I didn't get sick even once, much to my surprise and delight.
    4. Of course, I've had to throw up both days since we returned home... I've come to the conclusion that it's not the baby making me sick, just Illi-freakin-nois. So ready to move out of the Midwest!!
    5. I feel like I bring up this topic on various threads way too often, so sorry if it's getting creepy, but I finally whipped out my electric trimmer this morning after a three month hiatus, and now my lady parts feel AMAZING. Like, I'm going to have trouble focusing at work this afternoon, because all I want to do is go home and get naked...
    6. Speaking of which, it has been a very pleasant surprise to me how sexy pregnancy has made me feel, especially since my bump has made its appearance. It's taken a little getting used to, since it's so different from the norm, but on the whole I honestly don't remember the last time I've felt this confident about my body!
    7. @jrussell16 I've been drinking ridiculous amounts of water too! I've always been a big water drinker anyways, but since I became pregnant it suddenly tastes like the nectar of the gods, and I can't get enough.
    8. I'm SO HUNGRY ALL OF THE TIME this week too; my metabolism must be trying to make up for the past two and a half months of meager eating.
    9. Yesterday I met a couple of friends for brunch and ordered something (omelette + pancakes + cottage cheese) that I fully intended to split in half so that I could eat leftovers today. Yeah, no... Ate it all and was ready for a snack three hours later.
    10. Lunch today was a banana, a bowl of Cheez-Its, and a spoonful of almond butter. Because whatever.

  • @jrussell16 There is such a thing as "too much water" but you're not even close, in my opinion. I'm a distance runner and get scared with stories of hyponatremia (water intoxication) during races. You might try putting a pinch of himalayan pink salt in a glass of water in the mornings to help with hydration — I was drinking ALL the water and never satisfied, and doing that even once a day helped me feel a little more level.

Huh, interesting. I'll have to look into this since I just booked an eye appointment for Monday.

I've also heard this.  My old boss got lasik surgery - little did she know she was pregnant and now still needs to wear glasses.

  • 1.  DH's childhood bff and his band are touring our state and DH is going with them for 3 days.  He's sooo happy
    2.  My mom called and said her first Blue Apron box arrived and looks like fun.
    3.  It's 72 and sunny.  Perfect!
    4.  My bleeding is really light today.  Stay in my blood vessels already, blood.  I uh, need you.
    5.  The blanket I'm making for my niece (DD 7/20) is almost done.
    6.  There will only be 4 months difference between my niece and her new cousin in my belly.  I hope they get along!
    7.  My brother is the best daddy ever.  I never would have guessed.
    8.  DH might be able to score free pizza for dinner.
    9.  Just noticed the plum and peach trees I planted recently are covered in fruit.  Cool.
    10.  So far I've avoided the evil side effects of iron supplementation.  Only took 8 servings of fruit in a day.  Oof!

    1. As of Friday, we will have officially sold our house! Signed our side of the closing docs today.
    2. My son will finally eat macaroni and cheese. He's a picky, picky eater so this is actually a huge victory.
    3. Daniel Tiger has a jingle for every situation. I can't believe how often I bust one of them our. Currently, we're all about the potty jingle in this house.
    4. Sister in optometry school confirms that temporary myopia during pregnancy is a thing!
    5. Wore maternity shorts for the first time today. Belly is definitely firming up at 13 weeks!
    6. @jrussell16 An 8:30 bedtime sounds amazing - I should probably stop bumping and go to bed.
    7. I am counting down the days til my first pedicure of the summer. I only get them during sandal weather and I can't wait.
    8. Giving myself a pedicure at 7 months pregnant the last time is one of the hardest things I've ever done.
    9. It took 20 bobby pins to keep my hair up in a twist today. But it stayed put!
    10. My son loves to give our dog hugs. I hope he loves this LO as much as he loves his puppy sister.

    Editted- mobile bumping +fat thumbs=typos

My first thought was how you're getting good real life examples of "How big is baby?" for weeks 12 and 13. Apparently I've been spending oo much time on the bump lately!

    1. DD had an appointment this morning to see if she's eligible for the peanut patch clinical trial to desensitize her and keep her safer in a world full of nuts.
