https://stevenandersonfamily.blogspot.com/2013/11/the-cause-and-cure-of-morning-sickness.htmlI had a friend send me this link shortly after my diagnosis of hyperemesis. Can decide whether the logic is sound or if I'm just desperate to feel better. I haven't had a chance to do very much research but from what I can find the colloidal silver seems safer than the phenargan that I'm taking at the moment. Anyone try something like this or have insight to any of this? I'm just sick of being sick.

Re: Opinions on HG options, colloidal silver
I know you want to feel better, but please be safe and careful. Talk to an actual doctor, get a second opinion, but do NOT take that stuff.
I'm so sorry you are feeling so sick, I definitely understand the feeling of being over it and wanting to try anything that could possibly help. Just talk to your doctor first, check out www.helpher.org if you haven't already.
Sending good vibes your way that you get some relief soon (and safely).

Why don't you first demand studies that show that it is effective and safe? I don't think you'll find those either. That website certainly didn't have any. I can understand being desperate, but don't let it push you into poor decisions.
Make sure to visit beyondmorningsickness.com and request a free book. They will give it to you no questions asked!
My first pregnancy I didn't have the knowledge and support I needed for HG. THis time I do. If all you are being given is phenergan they aren't doing everything they could be to help you. And I am soooo sooooo soooo sorry for that. HG is miserable. I sit here hooked to my Zofran pump telling you... I'd do ALMOST anything to feel better. Such a sad road. BUT it gets better. Hang in there and take in one day at a time. Make sure you get as much information on possible treatments as you can so that you can force your care providers to help you to the best of their abilities!
Crazy scary that you know someone that had the effects of phenergan. I took it with my first pregnancy and my son faces no ill effects. They do have those available as a pump. THe pump does work better than oral in my opinion.

@Oakleypoozles thank you for the link, I requested a book and hope there may be more to learn and try. Being in a pretty rural area my doctors aren't too familiar with dealing with HG. We have several components going into my care including most traditional morning sickness help which doesn't even begin to touch it, but are limited on treatments because of my allergies.
@BmcD2016 and @juliehollz13 the article talks about the theory that hG is caused by an excess of a specific bacteria and using CS in conjunction with adding fermented foods into your diet to try and balance those bacteria. Hearing others using it for anti bacterial uses kind of collaborates the idea of it being helpful.
I dont think I feel comfortable experimenting with it while pregnant at this point but may try just the fermented foods side of it since theres no harm in that.

One benefit of CS is that it apparently kills off bad bacteria while not damaging the good bacterias of the gut. This is what I've been told from a naturopath and I am not a researcher so I can't verify.
