We will be going to Mother's Day Brunch at our club and then my mom is coming in town to stay with me for a week while my husband has to travel for work!! I'm so excited! I also asked for a new pair of TB flats and a video camera so I can start making home movies of Graham! So I guess we'll see!! :)

What are y'all's plans?? And Happy Mothers Day to all!!

Re: Happy Mother's Day - what are your plans??

  • Happy Mother's Day! Also BFP anniversary! I know a lot of us found out the big news around this time a year ago. Can't  believe how time flew.

Not sure what the plans are. DH tells me him and the baby have been planning.  ;)

My husband is out of town :( so I'll be solo parenting! But next week I go back to work and he'll be on dad duty, so I'll just enjoy a low-key day of baby cuddles.

We don't have special plans for Sunday, but we did got visit DH's parents today. It was an hour car ride, which is the longest for DD so far. She did great!
It was three days before Mothers Day last year that I took my pregnancy test. It was too new to even try to celebrate. What a year this has been!
  • I took my pregnancy test ON Mother's Day. It was my first Mother's Day with my son who had turned 5 months the day before, talk about memorable! This year, daddy is on the night shift, so I get to sleep in, then he and my stepdaughter went shopping today? They brought me back some beautiful flowers and secrets for tomorrow. SO and I will be going out to dinner on Monday without the kiddos.
  • It's up in the air. I bought my mom a pandora charm. I don't have time for originality. I was gonna swing by her house at some point during the day and spend time with her and probably have lunch with my mil two counties over. Dh and I haven't done Valentine's Day or Christmas for each other since highshcool so I guess Mother's Day will go the same way. All though I don't mind this in the least, I find a little part of me I wanting something... I mean Jesus I have created two little mini versions of my dh.
  • We are having a bunch of friends over for a BBQ, and the wee man got me my letter to Hogwarts for Mother's Day. What a fabulous job kiddo!
  • I also got my BFP on mothers day! I'm sleeping in lol. I'd like to go for a run. Or try to. I'm pretty out of shape. Then we're going to dinner with DH's family. I feel like a jerk since i work in the industry. They just love me and wanted me to have the day off. I got my mom a new cast iron ductch oven and DH got tickets for his mom and i to see weird al together in September

Seeing as how DH just asked me if there was anything I wanted, I'm guessing nothing special.  He is going to take DS out for a few hours so I can take a nap though.  That'll be nice since I've been up since 1am
  • I also got my BFP on Mother's Day last year, crazy a year has gone by!!! We did breakfast out with my parents, DH, and LO. I got my mom some photo items of us together and my parents and DH got me a nice charm necklace with LOs initials and birth stone and some flowers. LO was up the whole time at breakfast and was in such a good mood, not one cry or sad face the entire time. Now we are all chilling together as a family on this beautiful afternoon. Will be going to the park a little later. Couldn't ask for a better day.
  • LO slept through the night for the first time.  He's slept through the night per-say, but we've had to go in and soothe a few times throughout the night, but last night he slept from 8pm-4am before we had to go in there.  He didn't get up until 7:30. WOOT! That in itself, made my 1st Mother's Day a success.

DH and I went to Panera for breakfast and then headed to the mall.  We shopped for a little while and DH bought me a Michael Kors purse and new wallet from the store. We went and had lunch at Margaritaville with my dad and then came home to do a little house work and spend time with LO.  DS slept the whole time we were shopping and out to lunch. I can honestly say that this has been a FANTASTIC 1st Mother's Day. I hope all of you ladies enjoyed yourselves today and especially to us moms getting to experience this for the 1st time.  :)
  • Hubs took me out yesterday and cooked an awesome dinner tonight. Enjoy the day, ladies!

  • We had a lot of family time with our extended families but also found some time to spend with just the three of us.  We went out for breakfast and walked down to the lake close to our house and enjoyed the weather.  My sister-in-law surprised me with some pictures that she had taken of my daughter.  SHe picked her up from daycare and hired a photographer to come to their family farm.  They turned out great!
