GTKY Question: any special Mother's Day plans? We have DS's swim lesson in the morning and then we'll go out to breakfast, which I love doing. We're going to see my mom, just for an hour or so, and then get something yummy for dinner. I think I'll try to get a manicure at some point too.

How many weeks:  28 weeks - Third Trimester!

    Size of the baby:  eggplant

One thing you are looking foward to:  next appointment is still pretty far off, near the end of May.

Rants/Rave/Symtoms:  I am, frankly, feeling a bit overwhelmed. I got some mosquito bites while gardening that are causing me to worry, I am trying to adjust to the low carb diet and testing for GD, my spouse is sick, our kitchen has to be remodeled as the cabinets are literally falling apart (and off the wall), our new upstairs neighbor is loud and throws cigarettes on our patio,  and I have been very tired. I am overwhelmed with worry about the pregnancy,  even though my glucose numbers are good. It is just feeling like a lot to deal with.

GTKY Question: any special Mother's Day plans?   My husband is ill, so our plans have pretty much been cancelled. We were going to head to Tucson to see my Mother and some friends. If he us feeling better we may go visit the flower fields (rununcula fields).   I lost my previous pregnancy on Mother's Day so it may be a difficult day, I was hoping for a distraction from the memory.
  • How many weeks: 24 weeks

Size of the baby: A cantaloupe

One thing you are looking foward to: not necessarily looking forward to my glucose test but it means I'm one step closer in this process! I am also moving in 3 weeks so I'm ready to get that over with and be in a new place.

Rants/Rave/Symptoms: RLP during the night and my lower back/hips ache.

GTKY Question: any special Mother's Day plans?
Calling my mom, that's about it. I feel bad because I asked her if my sister had mentioned any plans and she said no. So I'm hoping my dad and her at least take her to lunch. Also my sister has to give her my present I bought her. It's a little necklace with two pink feet imprinted with a special message.

I'm a FTM so I don't expect DH to do anything. Maybe flowers? Not getting my hopes up though. (Yes I am)
  • @liljabee hugs to you! I'm sure this is an incredibly challenging day.  Maybe you can do something for yourself, even if your DH isn't feeling well? I hope you get to go to the ranuncula fields, they're one of my favorite flowers, I'm sure it would be incredibly beautiful and peaceful!

I second hugs to you today. I hope your DH feels better! I also love ranunculus! It's so pretty!

One thing you are looking foward to: Next week we are going to a 3rd party ultrasound place to get some extra photos and 3D photos of baby. I can't wait to have some extra ones to put in her baby book.

Rants/Rave/Symtoms: I overdid it yesterday and now I feel like my public bone is pulling apart and I ran into a pole down there. Also this heartburn is killing me at night. I may give in and call my OB on Monday for a prescription.

GTKY Question: any special Mother's Day plans? DH is currently making me breakfast in bed (bacon and pancakes). I came home Friday night from my late shift and he had a first Mother's Day card for me. He is definitely the thoughtful one out of the two of us.

    Rants/Rave/Symtoms:
I'm out of town but when I get back i have to go do my glucose test. I'm so afraid i will fail because of the absurd amount of sugar i consume.

GTKY Question: any special Mother's Day? My parents came down for the weekend so it was nice to spend time with them and we took my mom out for brunch. DH got me the diaper bag I wanted and filled it with new pjs, a robe and the mother bracelet from Alex and Ani.
