Pinapple core?

i know I've seen on this board people mention pinapple core. Am I supposed to eat it right after ER or right after Transfer? I'm doing a fresh transfer.

Re: Pinapple core?

  • I believe you start eating it either the day of or day after transfer for 5-7 days. It is quite tough and bitter tasting so I usually cut it up into small pieces and eat it with the normal part of the pineapple as well. I've also heard of ppl putting it into a smoothie

  • I've read to eat it for the 5 days after ovulation. I'm not at IVF yet, but I've tried the pineapple core before. What I normally do is buy a whole pineapple, cut it into fifths and slice up one fifth to snack on each day after ovulation.
  • The core is supposed to help with implantation so you should eat it for five days starting the day after your transfer. I also cut mine in fifths and put the core and pineapple in a smoothie.

It actually works?? Is there any science behind this or is it a superstition l?
  • @FatPony I did it with my first transfer and I just got my first BFP from it I'm taking second beta tomorrow but i feel that maybe it worked. I would say just do it.

Pineapple core contains bromelian which is supposed to reduce inflammation which is supposed to help with implantation, similar to taking baby aspirin.

Thanks everyone! Do y'all normally get a whole pinapple and cut that into fifths or just by a core by itself?

Is there any food I should avoid after transfer?
  • i will be getting the insemination tmr but i m already on baby aspirin should i get the pineapple core or it will be too much
  • Ive heard eating it 5 days after iui or ivf help implantation so i ate it a few days
  • I couldn't find pineapple core alone, so I just ate pineapple and avocado.

  • I cut up the whole pineapple into 5 sections (including the core) and are one section each day starting with the day of my transfer. I also included avocados, walnuts and lots of proteins and veggies into my diet. I've had no bread or pasta for the first 7 days after my transfer just because carbs make me really bloated if I eat them too much or too often. I read that brazil nuts also supposedly help with implantation, but I didn't have a chance to get them.
