I just got MIL a pandora bangle bracelet. Not my style but I think they are still popular? She wants to be called Nonni so I ordered a custom charm that says that, SIL got a family charm for her and FIL is getting her a pretty heart charm. I especially love that all future gifts will be super easy because I can just get her a new charm and call it a day, lol.
I cannot wait for fathers day tho! Found an etsy shop that takes a word or words and frames a 3D image of the sound along with a QR reader thing for your phone that plays the sound so DH will forever have the image and sound of DS saying Dada, his first word. You just record the sound and send it with your order. Can't wait to see what all you crafty moms are planning!
Got mil the Pandora bracelet for her bday, she lives it. Plus you can buy charms for other gift giving occasions. Dh just gave her a turtle charm for moms day because he was attached to his turtle stuffed animal when he was little.
Anything with handprints. If she's into Xmas, you could do the handprint tree or the painted canvas mistletoes (foot prints of kids). The shadow silhouette pictures of grandkids or get a plain wreath from the craft store and small wooden hearts or other shapes in different sizes, write everyone's name on the shapes and cluster the families together on the wreath, grandpa/grandma on top, you and your so and kids names together then your or so's siblings names and their kids. Sorry, I don't have a picture.
The bangle was $65 and the family charm was $65 and the custom charm was $45. I split the bangle and family charm with SIL. But I figure it's an investment in future gifts too since next time we just have to spend $40-60 on any other charms going forward. And it makes presents to much easier, lol
Not sure if I'll do this for mothers day. But just a cute craft we did. I bought a canvas, put scotch tape on it to make a design, put non toxic paint on it, then into a ziplock bag so baby girl could have a clean way to finger paint. She wasn't sure what to do but it turned out kinda cute I think.
I'm also doing a flower pot thing for my mom and MIL. I think each kid is going to be a different bug/thing on the pot. I'm not entirely sure though...I just bought the pots today at Home Depot. I'll let you know how they turn out when we make them tomorrow!
Ignore my craft table lol but I got this adorable box at the hobby lobby for $6 and painted if her favorite color. The box has a lazy Susan on the bottle and the there's 4 picture slots. I'm putting Noahs handprint on top in a lighter purple. I'm leaving the picture blank because her birthday is the week after Mother's Day and her birthday surprise is a family photo shoot on the beach. I think she's going to love it and won't be able to wait to show it off on her desk at work
