Same here--majorly showing, 21 weeks, and I'm actually down 9lbs. Super strange.

Well, for me it's part losing muscle. Muscle weighs more than fat. I haven't been hitting the weights and gym like I used to pre-pregnancy. Hence why I haven't gained as much as I look like I did.
I've only gained 4 lbs too (at 19 weeks). Partly because I'm a little heavy to begin with and also because I haven't been to the gym since BFP. I was lifting heavy before and had quite a bit of muscle.
I wouldn't say it's weird. Everyone gains at different rates and different amounts. I'm still down 10 lbs from my pre-pregnancy weight, and showing much more than I did with my first. There is still 19 weeks of growing left. I gained 8 lbs the last two weeks of my first pregnancy from water weight alone.
I also have little weight gain but I started with more this time than last. OB is more concerned with belly growth than weight gain, and I have plenty of that.
I think it's kind of weird to post this as it's own thread. If you're concerned about something, call your doctor. Otherwise, this kind of stuff belongs in either the random thread, because it's pretty random, or in the symptoms thread since I'd attribute it to being a part of your pregnancy. A simple Google search would also probably answer your question.
I wouldn't worry too much. I'm guessing at this point you've probably had your anatomy scan. If they weren't concerned about growth then, I wouldn't worry too much about weight gain.
If your doctor isn't concerned, then I would just say good for you. You won't have to work as hard as I will to lose it after baby. I'm up at least 17-18 lbs at 23 weeks.
I've put on 20 pounds and I'm 22 weeks and someone said to me yesterday that I must be due any day now so I guess I don't really ..... never mind. I'm going to go with pregnancy hormone anger and just keep my mouth shut.
@AshleyB09042015 I had gained 20lbs at 20weeks (I'm 22 weeks now and haven't weighed since last appointment) and my fundal height measured 27weeks at my 20week check up. I had someone say "I can tell your tired! How much longer?" Ummmmm?!?! I'm not even far enough to do a countdown so to speak! I responded with "considering I just passed the half way mark, I have a long ways to go!"
I'm 19 weeks and I haven't actually gained any weight but it has been redistributed. Breasts are bigger and heavier, I seem pudgier and I have a little bit more of a belly, etc. I was actually a little concerned about it because I still don't have an appetite, I was sick with a nasty cold two weeks ago (no temp though) and I don't see my doctor for another 2 weeks to make sure everything is fine. I put it down to not being the slimmest person to begin with and losing muscle since I haven't been working out.
I'm 21 weeks...and i have an appointment on friday. I'm a little worried about what the scale will say...at first i lost 2 pounds...and then i gained 7 from my pre-pregnancy weight (but really 9 bounds in a 6 week period...since i lost 2 previously)...I'm just hoping friday's weight gain isn't too big...3lbs?? fingers crossed
Same boat. I am heavy set and have only gained 4 pounds as well but it's pretty clear there is lots of baby in there. My clients are currently debating if I am or am not pregnant
I work out, not super fit or anything, was a smidge overweight when I got pregnant. I'm 19w3d and gained about 9-10 lbs. Like others have said, everyone is different.
Im 21 weeks. I have gained 2 lbs based on my starting weight. But since losing weight at first I've gained back 6. But I've obviously lost muscle and I believe that's why numbers are still so low. Not squatting and lifting heavy weights anymore per my doctors recommendation ... And a bit of laziness.
I'm 19 weeks and only gained a pound so far. I only gained 25lbs with my son but had already put on 10lbs by 20 weeks so this is unusual for me. Doctors aren't concerned though because the baby is growing and is actually big for his age.
i'm 19wk 4d now and i've only gained like 5 lbs so far. i'm definitely showing, but it's all belly and my ob isn't concerned. i gained 60lbs with my first son 11+ years ago and i only lost like 30lbs over the years so i started out 'overweight' with this one
ugh...so i had my appointment today...and i've gained close to 16 lbs!! oh my goodness...i'd like to say it just means i'm on track to gain about 30 (seeing that i'm half way)....but i know with my last pregnancy towards the end i was packing on the pounds! doctor hasn't said a single word about my weight so i guess it's fine...but man it's gonna be a pain to loose this after the baby.

I'm at week 20 and I've gained 10-14 pounds. It fluctuates based on whether or not I took a big crap that morning.
