How many weeks/fruit? 37 on Thursday. Not sure what fruit but feels like infant sized.
Symptoms/raves/rants? Lots of period like cramping and contractions. Adding to the mix this week: hemorrhoids! I never had a single one until after I delivered DD, so I'm surprised to see them again. I forgot how bad they suck. Basically everything down there is in pain, so there's that.
I guess my only rave is that I'm sleeping pretty well with the help of Tylenol PM. Even though I'm up a lot, I'm able to fall back asleep pretty easily. Oh and since baby is lower, my heartburn is getting a little better. So instead of 2 zantacs/day + 6 tums, I can get by with 2 zantacs and 2 tums.
Appointment update? I go in on Monday for my weekly appt.
Questions for the group? I've noticed that when I wipe after peeing, I have some black/brown (tiny) specks on the toilet paper. Has anyone experienced this? FWIW it's not poop.
What's left on your to-do list? I've been adding to my hospital bag daily. It's been such a chore for me this time around. I think mostly because I wear everything that I need at the hospital. Other than getting myself packed, I feel prepared.
How many weeks/fruit? 39 weeks tomorrow, baby size
Symptoms/raves/rants? Itchy dry skin. Tired forever. Grumpy. Fritos are my new bff
Appointment update? appointment tomorrow, I predict that nothing has changed (0 cm)
Questions for the group? My doctor won't let me go past 41 weeks. Is there a "good" day of the week to be induced if it comes to that? A Thursday?
What's left on your to-do list? finish reading my birth skills book, read more of my breastfeeding book, make a t-shirt that says "yes I'm still pregnant, my due date is May 12", organize my home office desk, try to actually work at work.
Symptoms/raves/rants? feeling good! Lots of Braxton hicks at night but no signs of actual labor, I was late with DS1 and didn't have any signs of labor with DS2 before my RCS so I don't have much hope of going into labor before my RCS next week.
Appointment update? pre-anesthesia appt today at the hospital and my last OB appt Tuesday then c section Thursday next week
How many weeks/fruit? 38 w tomorrow.. babysizer says bucket of KFC fried chicken, lol. Whatever size, he's getting too big for this womb!
Symptoms/raves/rants? increased pressure down below. The occasional ctx, but they are not painful. I just feel by belly getting tight.
Appointment update? Tomorrow. We'll see if there is any progress.
Questions for the group? Time is just iiiinching forward. I know it would go faster if I occupied my time with more productive things, but all I can think about is BABY!
What's left on your to-do list? Work sh*t. Everything baby related is DONE! Next week I'll make acupuncture appointments for the following week if there is no sign of babes.
@EErin86 That's a good question. I'm not sure how it works at your hospital, but at mine they start inductions between 10p.m. and 1a.m. so you will be more likely to deliver during business hours when your Dr. will be available instead of whoever is on call. At least in my case, I could see where inducing late on Thursday night would be good because you might not run into the weekend where your regular OB might be out.

Lurking from M/T ticker change but very curious about this and whether there's a "good" day for a c-section if it comes to scheduling that? I would think it would not be ideal to have a surgery on a Friday if hospital staffing is lower on the weekend but maybe that's not accurate?

That's a good point! I'm just thinking from the standpoint that @EErin86 would go to 41 weeks on a Thursday (same as me), so that would be the latest she could push the induction according to her doc. I'm pretty sure my doc won't let me go much past 41 weeks, if at all. We'll see what she says at tomorrow's appointment.
Symptoms/raves/rants? Had contractions over the weekend, they halted to a stop Monday. I've been bouncing on the ball and eating dates and I'm going absolutely crazy. I don't know how it's possible to stay sane.
Appointment update? Tomorrow - I really hope I have some dilation so that I can have a sweep done soon.
Questions for the group? So I was thinking about due dates and how they are not that accurate since I hear FTM's go about a week past their due date. I wondered for those that did IVF or used ovulation tests to get prego. Are their due dates more accurate? Since they know when within a few days they ovulated. Do these women deliver closer to their DD? Is the week late thing because maybe more women have a longer cycle than 28 days? I know I did.
What's left on your to-do list? I've given up on to-do's. I just want baby out! I should probably try to relax and chill out
@EErin86 I have no clue, maybe when your doc is on call if he/she? Maybe going into the weekend is less busy?
Symptoms/raves/rants? increased hip/pelvic pain, increased shortness of breath (partially because of the sinus/allergy problems I'm having and being limited in what I can take for it), irregular contractions
Appointment update? Had an appointment this morning. Found out that I am GBS+. Not a huge deal, but one more thing to consider during labor. OB did a cervical check since I've been having contractions. She said baby is very low and cervix is thinning and softening, but I'm not dilated at all yet.
Questions for the group? none
What's left on your to-do list? DH met me at the furniture store at lunchtime yesterday to pick out a glider for the nursery. I wanted to go with a mid-range one, but DH insisted on going with the high-end one. Ultimately, we'll probably be happier with it, so it's fine. It should be in sometime next week, so we'll need to pick it up and set it up in the nursery. We also need to set up the video monitor we bought yesterday and finish reorganizing the guest room for my parents to stay in, but we're otherwise ready to go. FINALLY!
@lusitano8 you bring up a good point. I guess it's a debate about if timing is accurate or if 40 weeks gestation is accurate.
My doctor is a family practitioner and actually looked at me weird when I asked if she would be delivering or if it would be someone on call at the hospital. She said it would of course be her (yay!). I guess I will go with whatever works best closest to the 19th and just hope I go into labor sooner!
Symptoms/raves/rants? So uncomfortable, irregular contractions, a ton of pressure, can't sleep.. all that fun stuff.
Appointment update? Had my final OB appointment yesterday and getting induced tomorrow morning at 8 am. Starting to panic.
Questions for the group? None that I can think of right now. Brain isn't really working.
What's left on your to-do list? Not much, just a few last minute things to put in my hospital bag tomorrow morning. But other than that if I haven't done it yet it's not going to get done.
