Upcoming appointments? I had my follow up appointment this past week after my "threatened miscarriage". Thankfully, they said everything is fine which was a huge relief. I go back again next week for what would have been my regular appointment.
Rants/Raves/Questions: I can't wait to start feeling the baby move! I'm so jealous of the moms who are feeling it already. I just want a daily reminder that this baby is still there and doing ok!

I work in development/fundraising.
I have identical twin nephews.
My husband is German and even though I've been back to Germany with him and been around the language for 13 years, I still only know a few words.
I primarily listen to rap/hip hop music, but my favorite musician of all time makes pop punk/emo/indie music.

Upcoming appointments? May 25th is our second ultrasound/anatomy scan and I am so so excited to see the baby.
Rants/Raves/Questions: Baby girl kicked me yesterday! I've taken to resting my hand on my stomach when I'm lounging/sitting, just in case. Well, I was just sitting on the couch thinking about what to make for lunch, and I felt a little thump! Totally unexpected and amazing. My husband hasn't been lucky enough to feel one yet. I think it makes him a little sad so I'm hopeful we can get lucky soon.
Question: For STM (+), when did you start to discuss delivery/birth plans/etc with your OB/midwife? I have some idea of how I'd like to approach things, and I also have some questions about how the hospital operates. I've brought up a few things and each time I've felt as though the answer has been a bit rushed, almost like "we'll get to this later."

-I am a huge nerd - I love video games, computer things, and reading.
-DH and I have a crazy lifestyle/schedule. He's an actor and I'm a photographer, so usually Mondays are our days off (we even got married on a Monday) and we work through the weekends when everyone else is out having fun. But it works for us!
-I love to cook!
-We're huge animal lovers and are currently parents to four fur babies. I have no idea how the baby is going to fit into this zoo we call a home.
-I've never broken a bone. Except maybe a pinkie toe while I was training in dance.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I still haven't felt any movement yet and it kinda bums me out. I know she's moving around in there because she swims away from the doppler and I know it'll happen eventually, I'm just having a tough time being patient!

How big is baby? A navel orange, an apple, a yellow canary, a multiool, an éclair, an avocado... All of these things seem wildly different in size, my husband's been making me look up actual measurements, so we're 4 inches, 2.5 oz
Upcoming appointments? Our next appointment is at 16 weeks and I have no idea what to expect. At our first appointment, the nurse said sometimes the doctor can tell the gender as early as 16 weeks if we're lucky, even though we're not scheduled to find out until the 20 week anatomy scan. I don't even know if she's doing an ultrasound this appointment.
Rants/Raves/Questions: Symptoms aren't terrible, I have like no appetite because I feel full all the time but I'm trying to keep my protein intake up. I'm glad the fatigue has passed.

Upcoming appointments? just had my 15/16 wk appt this am- quickest appt ever. Answered my questions, did the doppler, scheduled my anatomy scan/bloodwork. I waited longer in the waiting room!
Rants/Raves/Questions: After a long 9 days, I heard back on Friday about the CVS results- negative for all trisomies and genetic additions/deletions/mutations! So relieved! Thanks for all your support, ladies

Anatomy scan on 5/25. Looking forward to confirming gender (we had it kind of spoiled for us at our Nuchal scan), but we’re still going to keep it a secret from the public and do a gender reveal at our “sprinkle” the moms are throwing for us this summer.
Rants/Raves/Questions:
I keep feeling him move around, but not consistently and I hate the inconsistency! I think my uterus went through a “growth spurt” of sorts last week because I didn’t feel him for several days (and then trying not to freak myself out because I know it’s still early), but then yesterday he was doing the conga again right after lunch and I felt SO MUCH BETTER. Then I felt silly lol.
I’m annoyed that Sudafed makes my blood pressure spike into low-hypertensive range and I’m still battling this cold/rhinitis/whatever and it’s the only thing that brings me relief, so now I’m using it only when I’m desperate. My Neti pot seems to help out a lot though so I’ve been doing that when I can instead.

2. I hate my job but I love my boss and coworkers, so every day I’m torn between my soul sucking company and the boss I adore.
3. I hate wearing make up so as a daily rule I don’t; it takes too much time to put on and take off and it makes my face break out.
4. My six year old DD loves Doctor Who and Firefly, which makes me feel like such a proud geek parent.
5. I love making own health and beauty stuff. I’ve made deodorant and chapstick and lotions and it is so much fun to play with the ingredients and the different smells.

Rants/raves/question: had an appointment yesterday but my ob is on vacation for three weeks do I had to go to his partner/midwife. I'm so not a fan. She lost the paper on my second deliver he faxed her (she works for same group just different location) so i had to explain that which sje did seem to understand why my second was a scheduled repeat c section even though I told her my problems with me being tilted, I dont seem to naturally dilate and my first two kids were born only a year and 20 days apart. She then questioned me on why I didn't want to try a vbac over and over again. Then she talked about me being over weight which my doctor has NEVER had a problem with. And my favorite question I always get from ignorant doctors "obviously you are super fertile how are you going to keep this from happening again?" And the famous "you know with c sections you cant have many kids:so how many do you want? " when I calmly explained my doctor told me as Long as I heal like I did with my previous c sections. she said he lied most you will get is four my husband was arguing with her I told him not to waste his breath. She then kept pushing on my stomach so far down past my pants to get the heart rate which she had to get an ultrasound to find the baby. Needless to say I will never go to her again. end of rant sorry

Rants/Raves/Questions: I'm feeling movement! In the past couple of days, more and more. Love that feeling!! I agree @Kaytee1087 - when it's not consistent, it freaks me out! @fallbabyround3- that is so awful! I'm doing a scheduled C-section this go-around as well because we had A LOT of issues with my DS. That is your decision, not hers. Hold your head up and be proud of your decision - do what is best for YOU!
