Unassisted FET?

I realize this is not a widely practiced thing but I was wondering if anyone has any information on doing a frozen embryo transfer that is completely unassisted? Meaning, no meds, no monitoring. I would like to just give them a window of when I am fertile and then do the FET. Our reason for doing IVF in the first place was due to male factor infertility, and there were no issues with me. I would like to give it a shot with my embryos but I'm not up for all the meds and monitoring anymore and it's at the point that we need to make a decision on what to do. I hope that makes sense! I am waiting for my RE to call me back, so I was looking for opinions in the mean time. Thanks!

Re: Unassisted FET?

  • I'm not completely familiar with natural ivf's but I know many doctors do practice it. I would think they would still need to monitor you to be sure when the right transfer time is. Good luck with whichever route you go!

  • I believe you would still need to be monitored especially to make sure your lining is where it needs to be, and also to check the optimal time for transfer. As far as no meds, some doctors will agree to this if your body responds accordingly. Hope this helps. GL
