i am 2 weeks and half away from entering 3rd trimester and last night was the worst i just started crying from the pain and nauseous and vomiting feeling. I lost my appetite.. had round ligament pain combined with BH and on top of that was so constipated that i felt like i was loosing my brains... I just hope 3rd trimester is smoother
I can't say it's more miserable, but it's definitely a different set of problems. I am still taking Diclegis for morning sickness, which my MS is SO not even as close to first trimester. BUT Acid Reflux/Heart Burn is absolutely horrible and is 24/7. Round ligament pain anytime I move, cough, sneeze, laugh etc. And I get absolutely horrible back pain at night. I remember reading that I would feel the best during the 2nd trimester...but I don't...just new issues than 1st tri. Bleh!
I feel better overall just because I hated morning sickness. But I'm in so much more pain. The hip pain when I sleep has been getting worse the whole trimester and then last night I woke up with these horrible leg cramps in my right calf. The pain was so intense I actually woke up screaming and now my leg is still sore. Plus I'm feeling more emotional than I've ever felt in my life and I get angry really easily. This is all actually making me afraid of the third trimester because I fear these symptoms will just get worse.
@JournoGrl23 as far as emotional and getting angry and annoyed easily has been getting worse and i don't know how to control it sometimes i just go for a walk and still kind of in different mix emotions

For some of these issues I would up my water intake. Even if you think you are drinking enough add an extra 1-2 cups and see if it helps.
26 weeks and totally was crying Monday night from just being so, so tired, and achy, and queasy. My husband picked me up from the airport around 9 pm and I got in the car crying... I think he was worried I'd lost my mind. And this morning, I felt so awful when I woke up that I contemplated going to the doctor... my entire body hurt from my shoulders to my rear. A few glasses of water, a hot shower, and a walk with my dog, and I was feeling better, but hobbling. But I really was wondering WTH happened overnight. So, no butterflies and rainbows over here at 26 weeks. Still better than say 7 weeks pregnant, but the third trimester is going to be LONG.
Also, @emmeline714, are you taking any kind of fiber supplements? I've been doing that the past couple months and it really helped with the regularity issue. I'll second the water intake--I started feeling pretty crappy about a month ago and 8 glasses a water a day helped more than I expected.
@emmeline714 I don't know how to control it either. I try to do an activity I like to get my mind off the feeling or if I'm at work I just really focus on the work I'm doing. But nothing seems to help. I just have to wait for it to pass.
Thank goodness for this thread! I've been very lucky in that I had little to no morning sickness and felt pretty great the first trimester. However, the last few weeks I have been in so much pain. I'm sure a lot of it is just my body adjusting to my changing shape and weight gain but my goodness! I think it's even worse because every time someone asks how I'm doing they start by saying how great I must feel because it's the second trimester. I play it off like I'm totally great. My poor husband gets to hear all the complaints!

Yes on the water intake!! I can definitely feel when I need to drink more water.
I've been using a cold water cup filled with ice water and using a straw to make myself drink more while I'm sitting at my desk all day. I just continuously sip when I have a straw and I feel like it's been helping with some of the achy pain I've been having.
