No period since baby and not breastfeeding!

Hey ladies! I just wanted to see if anyone else was in this boat? I have never breastfed baby girl and I have yet to have a actual period. I have had days of spotting but thats it. I am on birth control pills and I do miss some here and there so I didnt know if that was the problem or if it is normal to go this long with out a period. Before baby I was too the book I could pin point the day and how long so to go without having one this long is making me alittle nervous for the future!

    No advice but I am SUPER jealous! Still BFing and currently on my period. I hate it!!!!!! And my supply drops when I ovulate and menstruate so that's a whole different mess to deal with on top of it! Lol

    i would think it has to be your pills. Maybe try a lower dose of you are looking to conceive again soon?

    I was in the same boat until I got mirena last month.  I've bled for 30 straight days now. A blessing and a curse.  Your dr should run blood work and check your hormone levels.

    Same here. I didn't any issues until I started on Skyla (like Mirena but with lower hormone levels) at about 3 months PP. But the first month with it I started menstruating and every month now I notice a serious drop in supply during menstruation.

    I have had the same problem. I am not on birth control and have been to the doctor. I got my period in February but it was very light. A little spotting in March and nothing in April. I am going to call the doctor again.

    Ditto! Got mine back at 5 months and it messes with my milk supply every single month for two weeks of the month. Thank goodness baby is old enough now to replace one of his bottles with solids or I'd never be able to keep up!

    OP: When you're on the pill, any bleeding you have isn't an actual "period" but is breakthrough bleeding from the drop in synthetic hormones you experience. An actual period occurs after you ovulate (and you wouldn't be ovulating while on the pill), so I wouldn't worry about your lack of a period now since you're really not ovulating now anyways and it's no indication of your cycle or your fertility. The only way to know if your cycle is back to normal is by going off the pill and giving it a few months to see if you get your period.

    What kind of birth control pills are you taking?

    Well aren't you special! I've been exclusively breastfeeding and have already had my period three times!!! So jealous. Don't have any actual advice though lol sorry

    Do you happen to be on a progesterone-only pill? When I was on the combination pill I of course got my period the week of the sugar pill, but when I was on the minipill (progesterone only) I never had a period at all. Could just be the pill you're on!
