Game of thrones 5.02 discussion and spoilers

okayyyyyy so what's everyone's thoughts on last nights episode??? some of my favorite highlights:

1. Hooray for the giant and wildings coming to castle black! I missed the giant!
2. I'm sad theon left Sansa but I'm excited to see what happens with both of their story lines.
3. I want Ramsey Bolton to die and die again and die again. I couldn't even watch that scene. Please I pray his death is long and miserable.
4. Hello dragon whisperer, tyrion!
5. Okay and obviously best part of last nights episode. Melisandre brought Jon Snow back! Now for a minute part of me thought maybe he's going to come back as someone else (when catelynn comes back as lady stone heart in the books there is a huge difference) however DH pointed out that If Jon warged into Ghost during that time he was killed then it makes sense because Ghost was asleep during the ceremony so when Jon/Ghost awakes that's when Jon actually takes his breath. So I hope he's the same Jon Snow!!

I agree on every statement you just made! Lol I spent that whole hour trying not to throw up so I didn't enjoy as much as I should have but it was a great episode!!

Hard episode to watch from all the violence! *cough Ramsey cough* It's hard to remember what is new and made up and what actually took place in the book. I thought Jon was a warg in the book and Melisandre did not bring him back. But I'm so confused. Crazy episode.

@Sugargirl1019 I think we are past the books at this point. Unless a book came out that I didn't hear about!

As soon as the Maester announced that Lady Fray had a boy I said well that baby is dead. I didn't expect it to happen so soon! That Ramsey is the worst person ever. I used to think that he and Geoffrey were close but now he takes the cake.

I was so glad when Jon came back. It was a little obvious that was going to happen, otherwise we would never find out that he is actually the Stark childrens' cousin

Agreed with everything you said! I was cheering and yelling at the tv the whole episode - my husband, who's not cool enough to love GoT, just kept looking over at me from his computer lol.

I'm very glad they didn't show much more of the scene with Ramsey and the hounds. Last season's Sansa and Ramsey scene was plenty "crossing the line" imagery for me.

@Sugargirl1019 - JS died at the end of the last book. We haven't gotten far enough with the books to know if he comes back to life or not. I'm actually not sure if he even dies (I think it's one of those - he gets stabbed, end scene).

@sammyl1221 - my DH says that in the show the only one that is a warg is Bran, even though in the books all the Starks are wargs.

@penelope4612 true BUT I still think hes a warg. None of the stark children in the books are aware of the warging skills except Bran so maybe its the same as in the tv show.

@Sugargirl1019 I think the books and show separated on a lot of details back in season 3.

Nothing to add, just my hopes for the rest of the season.
I also think Jon is a warg, just didn't know it/how to control it. I also hope Ramsey dies a horribly painful drawn-out death, the bastard.
I hope Theon finds something that helps him get back to being happy.

Such a good episode! I think my favorite little moment was the second dragon showing his neck to Tyrion to get the chains off. I just love the dragons and can't wait for them to start taking over and being ridiculously powerful.

Agreed that the Ramsay scene was awful. I knew it was coming when the baby was born, but man they really went there.

am I the only one who feels like Sunday will never come??! More Jon Snow (like now please lol)!!!

I never read the books so I'm unfamiliar with all the background and show vs books story lines. OP I think your synopsis about nailed it lol. Like PP's I'm also interested to see how Theon's story will continue and thought Jon would have "blood of the dragon"

as for this guy...I can't even think about him without shuddering. May he die a show worthy torturous and gruesome death, ugh.

I've not introduced myself yet. Ultra sound Friday and I'm nervous. But YES to all of it. Especially Ramsey dying in a horrible way. He is truly awful. I was also happy when theon "came back".

Omg, Ramsey is the new Joffrey in my eyes. At least Tyrion could slap Joffrey occasionally to put him in his place - Ramsey deserves horrible things.

(Also...a few friends on FB that don't even watch regularly are being super judgy this week - "How can you people watch such cruelty? You're horrible!"...As if we enjoyed it? I get really sad/angry/sick over some of the graphic stuff, it's not like I'm laughing maniacally! )

Also, the High Sparrow in the sept? Scary, bro.

But seriously, @sammyl1221 got all the main points.
