How many weeks? 20! Wooooahhhhhhh we're halfway there!
What size? A banana, or be-nana as my 2 year old says (excuse me while I go cry for a minute...still getting used to calling him a 2 year old)
Upcoming appointments? I just had my anatomy scan and 20 week check up this morning (hence the delay in posting) and will need a repeat a/s at my next appointment because they couldn't get all the measurements this morning. I'm good with that...means I get to see baby again! So far everything looked good.
Rants/Raves/Questions? None this week
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I've been having heart palpitations so the doctor wants me to go on a monitor for 24-48 hours. So far I'm handling this news pretty well and trying not to freak out about it.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do when you have "me" time? Read or craft. 2 things I don't get to do very often at all. Womp womp! One day I'll have time for them again
What size? Almost a foot long! Guinea Pig (so cute!), water bottle, etc
Upcoming appointments? 24 week appointment in 2 weeks (yay viability), and probably glucose test at that time. Trying to keep the weight gain to a minimum until then!
Rants/Raves/Questions? Nada
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Nada
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do when you have "me" time? Probably craft or clean. I also really enjoy putting my feet up with some junk food and some reality TV.. but often find that I need to keep my mind busy and will pull out a puzzle of some sort to do at the same time
What size? A banana? That doesn't seem like a good unit of measurement.
Upcoming appointments? Heart scan in two weeks.
Rants/Raves/Questions? My husband is wonderful. We had a pretty bad fight a few days ago and it was rough, but he always knows what to say to fix everything.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Hot pockets. They're terrible and delicious. Lately I've been getting some hip pain, but it goes away with stretches and exercise. Really hope it doesn't stick around but I'm not too optimistic.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do when you have "me" time? Haha. Uh. Video games. I play a lot of PC games, especially when I have nothing else to do.
@jln14 I love a good PC game! I was obsessed with The Sims back in the day and eventually would like to try my hand at Sims 4 but need a computer that can support it to do so...my other faves were the Diner Dash series As you can see I'm more of a "simulation" type!
@diagonalley- This is soooooooooo me! I loved playing Sims in high school and every now and then would reload Sims 2 or whatever it was in college and get completely absorbed into the game.. like a "oh shit, how is it 3 am and I forgot to go to dinner and haven't peed in 14 hours?!" I reloaded whatever the newest one was around Dec 14 onto my laptop for my 2 weeks of maternity leave when baby went past his due date but I just couldn't get nearly as into it as I used to... maybe someday.
I love life simulation type games, I loved Sims, Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing, any of that type.
Upcoming appointments? Anatomy scan is less than 1 week away!!!!
Rants/Raves/Questions? Rant. My mother is driving me nuts. We just broke ground on our new house recently and construction is moving quicker than expected. A bit of background, the house is about an hour from my parents and happens to be right next door to in laws. My mother won't admit it, but she is jealous we are living next to in laws and even more so now that a grandchild is in the picture. So she says to me the other day "I really hope the house isn't finished before November, because it will just be so much easier for you guys to be closer to me when the baby comes". Ok mom, nevermind that it would be easier for us to be moved and settled before the infant arrives. UGH. Sorry that was super long, there was no Monday Bitchfest yesterday
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Still want beef. Burgers all the time. Acne everywhere.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do when you have "me" time? I love taking my bike out on trails. I've been a bit hesitant because I've been known to take falls here and there, but hoping to get out on some easy trails in the mornings now that it's getting nice
@Thscary- Definitely played a lot of Kings Quest but was never very good at it, we'd always get to the same area and get killed regardless of what prep work we did... it still bugs me to this day when I think about it. If it had been 5-10 years later I could have googled some walk-through or cheat to just get past it!
Upcoming appointments? 24 week appointment in June, when I'm almost 27 weeks. Go figure
Rants/Raves/Questions? Starting to get super nervous about adjusting to life with 2 kids!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? Totally exhausted almost all the time, punctuated by short bursts of extreme energy. Also STARVING.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do when you have "me" time? On evenings when I have the house to myself after the dude is in bed, I love to binge watch something on Netflix while snacking excessively.
@jln27 Have you played any of the Civilization series? I love all of them, but I've put 1500+ hours into Civ 5 and I keep going back again and again. I dumped about 10 nukes on my husband in one turn over 3 years ago and I still hear about it to this day. It was totally worth it.
Right now I'm replaying Dragon Age:Origins. Love me some Bioware.
@Thscary I haven't played the old King's quest, but the first installment of the newer one should still be available for free on PS Plus if you have a PS4. It's pretty fun and more story-based, my kids enjoy watching it.
September '16 - May Signature Challenge Awkward Family Fun
@Thurstobertay I've been meaning to give the new game a try. I'll have to check it out
@annas930 before Google walkthroughs my mom would send away for booklets that had kings quest cheats. One had a map of the desert and ocean in Kings quest v. It came with these cardboard glasses with red cellophane like lenses that you needed to wear to read the book. Not even kidding. The mothereffing 90s
@Thscarythat is so fantastic. My sister and I LOVED Kingdom Hearts on PS2... I mean.. going inside of Disney movies, what's better than that?! We beat the game on our own, and went back through it with walk throughs years later.. one of us would be reading "Now turn left. walk past the bush, use the trinity power" it was hilarious
@Thscary Yes I did! I loved King's Quest and other point-and-click adventure games. I play a LOT of older PC games still, including stuff like the Monkey Island series, Grim Fandango, Torin's Quest (really hard to find people who remember that game), and Baldur's Gate. The Baldur's Gate series is actually still my favorite series of games hands down. I've played it over and over since I was a kid.
@Thurstobertary Yup! I have Civ V and play it fairly regularly with my friends. If you play it on Steam you could PM your handle and we could play together sometime if you want.
I love Bioware games. Dragon Age is one of my favorite series, mostly because it was a sort of spiritual successor for Baldur's Gate. Have you played any of Mass Effect yet? It's their other big name RPG, pretty much Dragon Age in space.
I'm a rabid Mass Effect fan. I have an N7 sticker on my rear window and my license plate is themed after it (couldn't get the NORMNDY sadly enough) which has led to a number of cool-but-initially-spooky conversations in parking lots. Here's my keychain:
I'm patiently (sorta) on watch for Andromeda, the trailer was nuts. Jetpacks!
Upcoming appointments? A/S 5/12. Going to get my thyroid levels checked this week though.
Rants/Raves/Questions? 5 weeks left in the school year! And I finally bought some maternity clothes that should be delivered soon. I'm grateful for the hand me downs, but it's fun to pick out something myself.
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions? I was eating a lot of junk last week. This week I'm into salad. I think I'm finally over cheese quesadillas.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do when you have "me" time? Being lazy. In the morning it would be drinking coffee, eating pastries or other breakfast food and listening to NPR while catching up online or calling friends/family. In the evening it's cozying up on the couch with snacks and watching whatever's on tv.
Upcoming Appts? Tomorrow I have a follow-up ultrasound from my anatomy scan. Trying to get the additional views of the heart that they needed.
Rants/Raves/Questions: Had a nice day at the zoo with my husband and daughters. Now I'm alone getting my hair cut and colored. I needed this!
Symptoms/Cravings/Aversions: Oh the acne! I feel like a teenager. I had my first real craving last week and it was for mashed potatoes and gravy and cole slaw from KFC...I have no idea why, but I had it three times last week and it was amazing. This week, the thought of it makes me want to barf.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do when you have "me" time? Veg out and watch reality tv or aimlessly peruse the Internet. I'm also a Target fanatic and love to wander the aisles...you know looking for things that I don't need
@diagonalley I love sim games too, I just finished up playing a game of Sims 2. My husband asked me to make our family in the newest Sims game, and likes getting pictures/stories about "us". He thinks it's cute instead of creepy, lol.
I also enjoy Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon. And Pokemon. Actually, the latest Pokemon game had a person in it who commented on sharing her Pokemon with her kids, and that's what I want to do someday.
Weeks- 21!! Size- carrot? Seems weird since carrots come in many lengths Upcoming appointments - Not until May 25 Rants - nothing Cravings - steak! Every Sunday for the past month I've had a 10 oz striploin... Mmmm
GTKY - also games! I play Hearthstone, Final Fantasy XIV, some Diablo, love Portal. Back in the day I loved Roller Coaster Tycoon LOL and a game called Creatures. I've never met anyone else who knew Creatures. I don't play much anymore since I'm in school again, but maybe one day!

Rants/Raves/Questions? The Bump sucks today with deleting half my posts.
GTKY: What is your favorite thing to do when you have "me" time?
Reading, getting on TB, Pinterest, or whatever else strikes my fancy. Saw this mentioned already, but also an avid Sims player.
Eta Just realized TB ate the post again. Grrr... Edited to fix.
