testing before beta, what day did you get BFP?

just wondering what day post transfer folks started to get BFPs?
I am 5dp5dt and did a test today - was negative, but wasn't surprised - I know it was early.

  • With DS (3dt) I got a negative on the morning of my beta. With DD I got a positive the night before beta, so 8dp5dt.
    IVF/ICSI #1 - BFP, DS born Jan 2013
    IVF/ICSI #2 - BFP, DD born Feb 2015
IVF FET - BFP, due April 2017

  • I guess this is why they make the beta the day the do since blood is more accurate then urine

  • I am somewhat ashamed to say that I've done obsessive searches about this during each of my IVF cycles and have found that the earliest people report is 3dp5dt with the average being between 6-8dp5dt.  There seem to be huge variations between different people though.  I am a crazy tester because it makes me feel like I have some control in the process (even though I admittedly have absolutely none) but totally understand people who prefer to wait until the beta.  Good luck to everyone in the 2ww!!

  • I got a faint positive 6dp and 6dt. It was very faint and took the full 2 minutes to show up. You will get your bfp in the next few days!! Keep us posted @MelD17011
  • I waited until 9dp3dt and it showed up positive within the first minute. I was too nervous to get a false negative if I tested too early. Truth is.. You just never know! GL to you all in the TWW!!

  • Congrats!!! Does it feel real yet? Post a picture!
  • Hi, I know exactly how it feels!
Well, I was torn into pieces with those waiting :s This was so hard not to do those tests at least a week after transfer!! The first one was day 7 and it showed negative. (Which was absolutely heartbreaking.. they say TWW must be in dog's time - it seems more a year than just 2 weeks!) Then I had a nice comforting talk with my nurse. She said it was silly of me to do the test so early. And that I had better keep my positive emotional state.. Next time that was testing in my clinic only. After 15 days I've got BFP!!  So my only position now is NOT to test before the test day. This will definitely keep you sane!!
Lots of hugs to all of you, brave struggling ladies! May this year bring lots of baby dust to all! ;)
