Re: PGAL Check-in 5/2
What's next? (milestones, appointments, something you are looking forward to): Midwife appointment next week, but they already called to tell me the results from my u/s last week. Everything looks good and my placenta is far from my cervix.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: Positive vibes to all! My baby apparently got a lot stronger this past week. Her movements have been much more obvious and sometimes even a bit painful, which makes me happy!
Questions?
GTKY: How's your energy level these days? In bed at 8 or partying it up? Energy is great during the day, but low in the evenings and I generally wake up exhausted. Of course it doesn't help that DD is usually up at 4 or 5 am.

BFP #2: 07/31/2015 M/C 09/23/2015 (11.5 weeks)
What's next? (milestones, appointments, something you are looking forward to): Definitely viability this week and week 28, which means I will be in the 3rd trimester. As much as I am looking forward to these things, I don't want to rush this pregnancy. This is my last one and I am really enjoying now.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I have had a good time putting the nursery together. There are times when my PGAL kicks in and hopes that I am not jinxing it. I do feel tons of movement so that makes me feel better.
Questions? Not at this time
Fremdschamen - I feel great during the day but crash at night. If I am up after 9:30, it is a miracle!
What's next: Appointment at 28 weeks for the glucose test and follow up ultrasound to check baby's kidneys since the measurement was off in one of them during the anatomy scan.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: My PGAL brain is kicking in a little. Baby had been moving like crazy for weeks and has been so strong that it hurts and that you can see my stomach moving in every direction. But the the last couple days there's been a huge slow down. She's still moving but not as much and definitely not as strong. I'm hoping it's just a growth spurt or something but I'm worried.
Questions: Nope.
GTKY: I work nights so I go to bed around 3 a.m. I fall asleep in my lazy boy chair in front of the tv after eating dinner around 1 because I'm too tired to go to bed. I sleep until 3 then get up and go to bed. This pregnancy is wearing me out!
What's next? (milestones, appointments, something you are looking forward to): appt next week, definitely just looking forward to getting to 3rd trimester.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: got the results back today from my lumpectomy and everything is benign so that's great news. LO has been moving so much more and is definitely getting stronger. It's been so nice to have the constant reminders that he's growing.
Questions?
GTKY: How's your energy level these days? In bed at 8 or partying it up? Oh god, bed at 8/9 is pretty normal for me ever since having DS1 so that hasn't changed. I feel like my energy varies day to day though. Some days I'm super productive and others I just want to sit with my feet up all day.
What's next? (milestones, appointments, something you are looking forward to): Baby Shower! We have picked a date and it gives me something to look forward to before he arrives!
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: I am so much more sleepy this round than I was with DD. Definitely wishing I could nap every day at work.
Questions?
GTKY: How's your energy level these days? In bed at 8 or partying it up? Just sleepy sleepy, having a toddler on top of pregnancy wears me out!
What's next? (Milestones, appointments, something you are looking forward to): 28 week appointment next week, third trimester, yay!
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: SO is finally getting settled into his new job. I'm excited because his hours are pretty regular, the pay is good, and he enjoys it. His boss is a sweetheart, and he has weekends off. Getting the finishing pieces of the baby's things and decorating are my next big focus after this whole house deep clean!
Questions? None
GTKY: How's your energy level these days? In bed at 8 or partying it up? I've ruined my sleeping schedule with the unchecked naps I've been taking throughout the day... but my energy level has definitely dropped. I can see my belly getting bigger, though I don't really notice that I'm carrying this extra weight. My energy is getting sapped accordingly to make up for it.

What's next? (milestones, appointments, something you are looking forward to):
GD test and regular appointment in 2 weeks. Getting closer to 3rd tri! Wahooo!
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
Getting a maternity belt tonight to hopefully help with the constant pain. I'm hoping it helps!

GTKY: How's your energy level these days? In bed at 8 or partying it up?
Around midday, I have a ton of energy. Once the evening hits, I've got nothing. The problem is, I still can't sleep. Chasing a wild toddler adds to the exhaustion. But it's an adventure!

What's next? (milestones, appointments, something you are looking forward to):
Appointment on Friday, but since I won't be 28 weeks yet they are pushing the GD test to my next appointment later in May. It's not a big deal but was also looking forward to having it done in a way.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
I'm feeling really behind in being ready for this baby and for being ready to wrap stuff up at work---it's feeling like it won't all get done in time! On the positive side I think I've found a doula which is great. I'm really hoping it will be a positive influence on doing what I should (walking, changing positions, etc). I also am hoping she'll be a great support for DH.
GTKY: How's your energy level these days? In bed at 8 or partying it up?
Tired the last few days! I get some energy on the weekends to get things done but am dragging overall. Hoping it's just a baby growth spurt sapping my energy and not how it will be from here on out.
What's next? (milestones, appointments, something you are looking forward to):
Happy to have hit viability! Appointment and GD test on Friday.
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes:
My first baby is turning 3 a week from today and his birthday party is this weekend. Where does time go?!
Questions?
Still getting a side cramp on the right all the time, that I notice while I'm walking. I asked this last week but does no one else get this? I'll ask my OB Friday. Guessing it's nothing, but PGAL brain doesn't like things I can't explain.
GTKY: How's your energy level these days? In bed at 8 or partying it up?
I actually have tons of energy lately and I have to force myself to go to bed at a reasonable time. My body is definitely slowing down though. I often overdo it on the weekends and then I'm achy for days afterward.

What's next? (milestones, appointments, something you are looking forward to): GD education class and home monitoring. Almost to the third trimester!
Rant/Rave/Positive Vibes: the GD diagnosis has revved up my PGAL Brain something awful.
Questions?
GTKY: How's your energy level these days? In bed at 8 or partying it up? I am naturally a night person, so never in bed at 8pm, but still fairly tired a lot.
are you doing kick counts? I feel like I go through spurts of feeling her move and then not feeling her move and it freaks me out even though I know it's "normal". How do I ease this anxiety?
Also so anyone take anything for insomnia? A low dose melatonin? But because of above I'm nervous to make baby drowsy too.
@bananers My DD just turned 3! Our kids will have almost identical age gaps.
@ThisisNumber3 The movement I feel is still too inconsistent to do kick counts, but I am starting to notice a few patterns -- this baby likes to party from 8-11 pm or so, and again from 4-6 am ish (I only notice that one because my DD always gets me up during that time).
@ashleybaker712 Let me know how the maternity belt works out for you-- I've been thinking of getting one to help stabilize my pelvis.
