Brown discharge?

Hiya im new to all this so hope you can help. Im 7weeks today. I have had brown discharge for 2 days(simular to what you get at the beginning or end of a period). Yesterday i also had some cramping. Has anybody else had the same thing during pregnancy. Im off for a scan tomorrow but im so worried : (

Brown discharge is usually not a sign for MC. The cramps can be a sign but that is usually always with Red blood to signify a possible MC. I would not worry to much. Brown discharge is not necessarily "bad" a lot of women spot through first trimester brown blood/discharge. Cramps can also be a sign of your uterus expanding. I know this can be scary. Just stay positive and rest yourself.

I am 8 weeks today, and had brown spotting since 4w5d - basically every day. Last week it went away for a few days, but was back some over the weekend. So far today, nothing (it is early). I haven't had any unusual cramping with the spotting, just what most would consider normal with the uterus expanding, etc.

If it was red and I had some bad cramping, I would be concerned and call my OB. But, I haven't had that and like I said, no bad cramping associated with it. From PG friends (this is my first, too), all have said that brown is normal. Brown is old blood.

I have had this too a few weeks ago. I freaked out and called the on-call OB on a Sunday. She had be go do bloodwork just to be safe, which turned out great. I still get it occasionally. Unless they are heavy make-you-sit-down cramps, I would try not to worry. At least you are getting your ultrasound soon, I still have to wait until next week. (They offered to do one earlier but they were afraid it would be too early to see a heartbeat and then I would freak out even more, which was probably true).
