Hey y'all! I wanted to share my birth story but was unable to post on the group thread though I tried multiple times. So I hope this is ok.
Amelia Abigail born March 22nd (39+5) at 7:10 am. 6 lbs 3 oz. Nurse assisted delivery.
I woke up at midnight with contractions. I went downstairs to give dh time to rest and to time the contractions. They started out about 4 minutes apart and within the hour they were down to about 3 minutes apart. Since we had an hour drive to the birthing center I figured it was time to wake dh. I took a shower and grabbed last minute stuff while he got our 22 month old up and ready.
On the way to the center the contractions really picked up in intensity and husband was worried about delivering in the car

we had friends set up to watch ds but dh wanted to drop me off first. I got inside about 3 am and he went to drop off ds.
When I was first checked I was at a 3 and 80% effaced. The contractions sucked by this point. Every 2-3 minutes lasting 1- 1/2 minutes. I knew I was getting an epidural and asked when I could get it placed. They wanted to make sure I was progressing and she would check again at 4.
Meanwhile dh couldn't get ahold of the friends to watch ds so they headed back. My contractions were so bad I was having to moan through them. I asked to be rechecked at 3:40 and I was at a 5 so they admitted me.
I finally got the epidural around 5:00 am and my doctor came in and checked me at 6:30. I was at a 7 at this point and feeling good. I felt done pressure at 7 and the nurse check and I was at a 10! I pushed once and she said to stop that baby girl was right there. They paged my ob and started setting up for delivery.
That is when the nurse looked down and said "we've got a head". What?!?! I delivered her right in the table without the Dr. and one half push at 7:10 am. The nurses were amazing and got everything done but it was a bit of a blur. Ob came in and delivered the placenta. I did not tear or anything. She was just really anxious to get out. Craziest thing that's ever happened to me.
Life has been amazing and difficult since she has joined the family. Currently loving life but wanting sleep

Thanks for all those who read my very long story!
