ETA: not looking for a chart stalk here. Wanting anecdotal information from people who have used both programs....
This is only my second month charting (and the first month was a freakishly long cycle--39, I'm never past 29). I used FF last month and both FF and ovasoft this month.
Do you all have thoughts about which software seems more accurate for you? AND do you generally agree with FF as it changes your cross hairs? FF originally said CD 13, then 14, now 16--I'm not sure I agree with the latest interpretation, since I had a mix of creamy and EW on 14 & 15.
Including my chart here if anyone wants to give input, but I'm mainly wondering over the long term, which do you find more reliable?
DD1 (2008) DD2 (2010), #3 (DH's first bio kid) on the way in January 2017! Almost always mobile bumping--forgive my typos.
I would recommend you post this in the WTO or the TWW daily threads. That's why we have the R/R/CS section, which means rants, raves, chart stalks. This is a chart stalk. There's no need to create a whole new AW thread for this.
I would read the newbie guide pinned at the top of the board, lurk, and participate more.
I've lurked for quite a while, read rhe newbie stuff and am not unfamiliar with the culture. I've been on the knot/bump/nest with various frequencies since 2007. Remarried and made a new username when we started TTC though...
I feel like you're missing the part where I said--"but I'm mainly wondering over the long term, which do you find more reliable?"
if people want to give chart stalking info, that's great. If not, I care more about the answer to my general question. And I realize the newbie posts have info about preferred charting apps etc, but I'm wanting some more annecdotal info (hence the post) not a generalization.

That is great that you have lurked for a while and are familiar, but if you have been you would see that the community has a way of doing things. @DoctorDonna was just trying to point you in that direction. You will get a lot more responses posting in WTO or TWW than if you start your own post. Also, being a community, you are more likely to get more thoughtful responses if you participate actively, instead of lurking and asking a question randomly I am sure plenty of people have feedback on this!

And you say you arent looking for a chart stalk but then you post your chart again if any one wants input?
I saw you made an intro in early April, so you have been around a few weeks, but I haven't seen much from you in the way of support... And now you are creating and AW post to try to get people to respond to your chart when you have already done so in the TWW. this doesn't come off all that well.
So, going to be a WK here because IDGAF right this second: but is it really the end of the world if someone posts and asks which tracker we like better? Yeah, it looks like she's also looking for a CS; but you can easily ignore that one sentence and look at the other two parts where she's asking for thoughts and advice on which one we have better experiences with. Just because the Newbie posts (that were made a long time ago) say we generally prefer FF, doesn't mean that it's the constant and no one else ever uses something else or doesn't prefer something else. Asking in WTO and TWW is great, but you're only getting half of the community (if that), and a question like this can be just as good of a conversation as a GTKY thread.
@zdmd_14: In the future, if you're looking for a CS; go to TWW/WTO. If you're not, we don't need to see your charts to know what you're talking about.
As for the base question of whether we prefer FF or Kindara; I personally prefer FF. I've tried Kindara and used it for two cycles, and it was more-so the interface that I did not like. I didn't use it while actively TTC, but rather after we started TTA as a comparison since I'd seen others mention that they prefer it -- but I was already so used to FF that I've stuck with that. I've heard others say they're not fond of the data entry format for FF or how "user-friendly" it may not be to them; but I've never had problems with that, and personally I thought Kindara was less "user-friendly" than FF - whether on mobile or on my laptop. As for CH - I had put a previous cycle's information in to Kindara to compare it to FF and see what it had said, and it put my O-date two days (I believe) after FF said I had ovulated. Which would have put my LP at 11 days for that particular cycle. So - in that respect, I didn't like Kindara for accurately tracking ovulation. FF tends to move CH on occasion depending on what you're putting in - but most of the time it's pretty accurate, if not spot on.
So, going to be a WK here because IDGAF right this second: but is it really the end of the world if someone posts and asks which tracker we like better? @Zoey1019 - Why? Like, legitimately, I'm curious to know why?
@izza2 I have only been here 5 months, but I think it is pretty clear what is most recommended. I think I have only seen one or two others use kindara since I have been here (granted only for 5 months). I guess we don't have to be TB police, but nothing I said in my above response to her was rude, it was just truthful. I think there was a smiley face attached as well......

As I said before - just because it's what most recommend doesn't mean we can't have someone ask for opinions on another tracker. I love FF - for me, it's the best and it's what I always recommend. But it's far from being the only one out there and there's zero reason why someone (whether that's a new member or a regular) can't start a thread and ask about opinions on another app. Not everything belongs in the WTO/TWW threads. As I said before - you're only getting part of the community with those two threads. Not everyone checks both of them daily.
And for the record - I didn't say anyone was rude. I'm not sure where that came from. But, okay.
I prefer FF. I have only used Glow other than FF so that's all I have for experience but I like that since nearly everyone uses FF here we can easily and quickly CS each other. I had to stare at your chart for a while just because I wasn't familiar with all the symbols and placement.
As far as Glow - in case anyone was wondering - it really sucked and I would not recommend it - it was not reliable.
ETA: I just remembered that when I used Glow for 3 months or whatever it was I would put in that I would spot for 2-3 days before my period started and it was like "ALERT! YOU PROBABLY HAVE PCOS" Um. What the fuck.
FWIW, I was asking about Ovasoft vs FF. Kindara is just the easiest to snag a picture of the chart.
Ovasoft is Ovia?
ETA: If Ovasoft is Ovia then I'd say I definitely prefer FF. I charted with Ovia and FF for about.... 6 months? Give or take a month or so. Ovia doesn't seem to have any idea what to do with temp data. It mostly just ignores them. Sometimes Ovia will give me a message that makes me think it may consider temps somewhat like "if your temps stay elevated in the luteal phase it could be a sign you've conceived. So watch for that!" Although usually when I get that message I cannot figure out what about my temps would have prompted that message. And Ovia has never shifted my O date based on temps. Ovia only seems to move O dates based on OPKs/Fertility monitor results. It will shift a FW forward from the original projected FW based off CM sometimes, but otherwise the FW only moves because of an OPK. Ovia nearly never gets my O date correct and when it does it feels more like an accident than an intelligent use of the information I input.
FF, on the other hand, seems to consider pretty much all the information I give it. And what it does with the information makes sense. I trust FF to consider all my fertility signs and come up with the most likely O date for me. I won't say that there have never been times where I question what FF is doing. But most of the time I'm confident with what FF sets as my O date.
What I do like about other programs, such as Ovia, is they make it really easy to track nutrition, exercise and weight. FF doesn't seem to have a way to input weight on the mobile app, or if it does I haven't found it yet. It certainly isn't as easy as just entering it into Ovia. So for the ladies who aren't temping and are mostly just looking for a calendar app with a couple of bells and whistles Ovia may be a good solution. It doesn't matter if Ovia doesn't use temps appropriately if you aren't temping. And then you can easily track nutrition, vitamins, weight and exercise. However, I can see that you are temping so I'd definitely recommend FF.

@furbabymom2007 and @Zoey1019FWIW, OP posted this chart in the Friday TWW after she had been told it wasn't appropriate to make her own thread. Also, I completely agree with @izza2 on this. I've been hardcore lurking this board since October, and this feels like such a frivolous thing to waste that beat-down/redirect-straight-to-noobie-thread energy everyone has stored up. Sure, CS goes in the TWW, but program preferences is a legitimate question for the reasons @izza2 pointed out.

Looks like Ovia is different. Ovasoft (or ova graph? Seems to go by two different names ...poor marketing
ovasoft is by the TCOYF people from what I can tell.

I would just like to say that my original response to OP was in order to keep things from getting too cluttered. I also wasn't trying to lead a newbie beat-down. We get so many drive-bys from people who claim to be long-time members. If she thought my response was rude, it wasn't my intent.
I don't see the necessity of creating a AW thread when you can participate in one of the daily threads or use the search function. If she had truly lurked any of the boards, she would have noticed how many of us use FF. It's not too difficult to read that or the newbie guide.

@zdmd_14 Gotcha. Yeah Ovia used to have some web based way to enter data in addition to the app and I could have sworn it was something like ovusoft. I just googled and as it turns out it was ovuline not ovusoft. oops.
I've never used ovusoft so I can't really comment on that one. But I stand by my opinion that FF is amazing and I'd absolutely recommend it to anyone who is charting.
As to the CS: I'm not sure I'd agree with O on CD13. I'm not sure I'd agree with O on CD16. It's just really hard to tell because I can't tell from that screenshot if you're entering CM/OPK/cervical position and texture etc. Really to pick a day there I'd kinda need to know all that and I'm either bad at reading the chart you posted or you didn't include that information. If I had to just take a guess based on temps alone so I'd that I tend to favor CD14 or 15 for O. But I wouldn't completely rule out the possibility of 13 or 16.

What exactly is cluttered, really? We have our daily threads and the random weekend after dark ones - but other than that we haven't had a legitimate discussion as a whole TTGP community or anything other than drive-byes since I first joined last year. The intro thread was made and then it seemed like everyone just decided that nothing but dailies and weekend randoms were allowed so everything else was clutter. The whole point of the forum isn't just for dailies, it's for people to engage the community as a whole and if they want to ask about two different tracking programs and not just target it toward one half, then so be it. Why is it such a bad thing that people want to engage the community as a whole versus posting in the dailies? Obviously for CSs, dailies. Obviously drive-byes are ridiculous. But something like this? When did TTGP honestly turn in to "everything must be on a daily thread or you'll get flamed"?
Ranting there, but really. Come on. Not every single thing belongs in the WTO or TWW threads. Hell, if I want to ask a question like this I have a very limited audience in the Benched/TTA thread - so do I leave it at the 10-ish people who are regularly contributing there because popping in to the WTO/TWW threads that I haven't done more than lurk and love-tit on in the past 5 months of TTA is a little ridiculous IMO; or do I get flamed for asking it to the entire community as a whole?
It's not being an AW if you're asking for the community's opinion on two different tracking programs. That's a bit far-fetched. And as I said before - just because the majority of the community uses FF doesn't mean everyone does, and it shouldn't be a huge deal that someone wants to know if anyone has experience with another program.
And FWIW, if we're going to tell people to use the search function, make sure there are actually threads for them to refer to. Ovasoft/Ova Graph/whatever has literally only been mentioned on this thread, from my search that I just did. How exactly do you refer to another thread and search for it if no results come up?
When the "Nest Baby" turned into "The Bump", it was common to have individual questions about topics (questions about charting, supplements, doctors appointments, intros). I never saw the daily posts for WTO, TWW threads and stickies until I came back. It wasn't looked upon as AW because it was the culture of the board at the time. It didn't become AWing until you posted a thread every 5 minutes all day. Drive bys and posting HPT's was always frowned upon and that was what got the flaming. But like I have said, board cultures change over time. So I've just been going with the flow and respecting the culture that the board has now.

@DoctorDonna I didn't get the feeling you were being flamed? I think @izza2 and I were just bringing up/ discussing something we noticed. We do need to find the line for WHEN we tell newbies that their post belongs in a daily thread or if it's cool to post by itself. That's a perfectly fine thing to talk about. Girl you know what flaming is. That was not flaming.

I saw you made an intro in early April, so you have been around a few weeks, but I haven't seen much from you in the way of support... And now you are creating and AW post to try to get people to respond to your chart when you have already done so in the TWW. this doesn't come off all that well.
... To answer your question, we use FF mostly.

Also, I completely agree with @izza2 on this. I've been hardcore lurking this board since October, and this feels like such a frivolous thing to waste that beat-down/redirect-straight-to-noobie-thread energy everyone has stored up. Sure, CS goes in the TWW, but program preferences is a legitimate question for the reasons @izza2 pointed out.

ovasoft is by the TCOYF people from what I can tell.

I don't see the necessity of creating a AW thread when you can participate in one of the daily threads or use the search function. If she had truly lurked any of the boards, she would have noticed how many of us use FF. It's not too difficult to read that or the newbie guide.
^^ this
and i basically turned it into a shameless CS there after getting fussed at and then the bump ate my attempt at c&p this into the 2WW format.

I won't participate anymore since we are turning on people who have been contributing and participating over someone that no one in here knows.
ETA: I won't be back to TTGP if I'm going to get flamed for...what exactly? I'm not even sure what I freaking did wrong.
