Trying to Get Pregnant

TWW Friday

Re: TWW Friday

• @pretzel2plus1 I'm not going to be much help, but here's all the info I have on my "skincare":

I used to use HBC to control it! :(
I also went on accutane as a teenager (that's what started me on HBC in the first place) - obviously I'm in the small percentage of people who accutane doesn't cure long term....so it came back full force.
Before my wedding, I went on tetracycline (or something like that?)...so lots of prescribed medications in my history....
since stopping HBC in October, I haven't used any prescribed medicines....just ivory soap and spectro gel cleansing gel (been using that since uni when the doctor gave me a sample - it's super gentle)
I sometimes use coconut oil just on my eyes to remove makeup (I tried it on my forehead under my bangs since I heard it helps SOME people and it did not help me at all).
I was going on a raw honey kick a while ago, but I stopped doing that because I got a rash on my face and the honey seemed to make it worse, although they honey worked really nicely before I got the rash and I think I'll do it again when the rash is FULLY gone (I think I got the rash from winter dryness and wearing scarves over my face too much), so I put hydrocortisone cream on that for a while (over the counter), and it cleared up a bit, but not in the time limit, so I just stopped putting anything on my face except mascara (literally, I just sucked it up and went bare skin everywhere) and it helped a bit - just the ivory soap and spectro gel to clean it. Not a great skin care regimen, but whatever...it's not as bad now, so it can't be THAT bad....

I find with my skin, it just sort of cycles....it starts to clear up randomly, and then it comes back full force at random times. The rash is good enough now that I'm wearing a bit of makeup again. (I hate makeup on dry skin though, it just looks so ugly and scaly and almost worse than the bare skin!)

Also - my mom had acne when she was a teenager and in university, and she said she thinks the hormonal changes during her pregnancy with me cured her acne forever....so I'm seriously hoping that getting KU will cure my acne too haha. Not counting on it though...she also got pregnant at 22, so she might have just grown out of it anyways....ugh.

R/R/CS: I'll take yesterday's dip and see today's rise right back up to my average line as all par for the course. Would love to see my line do something different...

GTKY: I agree with the comments about one upping others in conversation. It's not a competition, you know, you could actually ask the other person about their experience? I would also say talking super-negatively specifically about another person. It just makes the person who's saying it look bad, so I try not to be that girl, and I feel really awkward when someone starts openly dissing someone else to me. I always try to respond with like, "I'm sure she's doing the best she can," or, "maybe you could offer her that suggestion next time," or whatever but like - AWKWARD! I refuse to join in on bashing somebody behind their back.

• @felix08 Or when a staff member says the same sweet things about EVERY KID we have a meeting on. Not every child is "growing amazing skills and such a joy to teach and OMG SO FUNNY". Vary your descriptions of kids--I get tired of listening to it and the half the parents probably think "that doesn't really sound like our Joey!"
DD1 (2008) DD2 (2010), #3 (DH's first bio kid) on the way in January 2017!

• @KristoB Hugs to you girl! I have everything crossed for you.

@khbear sorry for CD1. I will be following you over there.

Today turned into CD1, just like FF predicted. I hate when it's right. They are forcing me to go to the work event today. There better be drinks involved. Hope to see none of you on the other side!

• Month/Cycle: 8

CD/DPO
: 21/7

Timing: -5, -3, -1, 0, +1

Testing: Nothing today

R/R/CS: Nothing yet :/

GTKY: What are some bad habits people have that annoy you more than anything else? Laughing after every single thing they say! I get that for some people it's just a little nervous habbit, but it drives me absolutely bonkers!!!
• Month/Cycle: 1/1 (about 5/4 since I started charting)

CD/DPO: 29/3

Timing: -2, -1

Testing: No idea. I'm going to try to keep myself from getting too impatient and testing so early that the only result I could possibly get would be a BFN, but I'm only 3 DPO and I'm already anxious to test. Over the three cycles I've charted, I've had two 10-day LPs and one that was 11. I'm not sure if I should just wait until then and see if AF shows first or what.

R/R/CS: I've got a cold and am completely paranoid about it. My search history is all like:
• illness effect on fertility
• getting sick when pregnant
• cough drops during tww
• cough drops while pregnant
• can i take tylenol pm
On the plus side, it's the weekend and I think I'm on the upswing with this cold! :)

Chart stalk! Completely overanalyzing here, but I don't trust myself to interpret the results properly. I'm trying to pinpoint the day I O'd and it is...not clear to me, though I'm inclined to go with FF's current analysis (because that one gives me the best timing of any possible scenario, I think). Currently FF has my ovulation day as CD 27 (Tuesday). I had my most fertile CM between CD 24-25; by CD 26 it had thinned out some and become more watery (though still plenty of it), and by CD 28 it was definitely drying up. On the other hand, I had positive OPK results from the morning of CD 27 through the morning of CD 29 (got negatives in the evenings on CD 26 and CD 29). The one from CD 27 was by far the strongest positive, though - the others were all approximately the same shade as the comparison line (definitely not darker than it, but also did not appear to be lighter). I debated on it, but called them positive because they were noticeably thicker than the comparison line. Looking at my temps, I'm not sure if exactly how to read things, and am sort of wondering if it qualifies as slow rise. If I use the chart overlay feature pinned at the O date, I feel like it being on CD 27 gives a similar pattern compared to two of my three other cycles (esp looking at -1 vs 0). Still, with the three days of positive OPKs and my most noticeable temp jump coming on CD 29, I'm really not sure which date makes the most sense as my O date.

Thoughts/opinions from any more seasoned charters would be appreciated!

GTKY: What are some bad habits people have that annoy you more than anything else?

Making excuses for the sake of making excuses, or to justify/rationalize bad behavior to yourself in order to turn yourself into a righteous victim when you're called out on it. Looking at my students on this one. Called out for talking on a test? "I was just asking for a pencil!" or "But HE asked ME a question!" NO. Stop making excuses and take responsibility for yourself. Ughhhh

R/R/CS:
WTF is going on?
Still just going to hang out here until I know exactly what's happening on Monday.
my best guess is that I did have a chemical and that the 19dpo + was a fluke and just happened to have enough hcg to still turn a test at that time... I don't know, I'm clutching at straws because the only other explaination I can find for tests that keep changing, but are always faint, spotting around when AF is due and constant dull cramping and headaches is an ectopic and I don't really want to wait for Monday if that's the case...
agh!

Plus work is driving me nuts, there are 3 casual employees (2 other girls and myself) one has been there a month longer than me, the other started 2 weeks ago, both got offered permanent part time contracts which will make my shifts non-existent, <10hrs a week at most, which makes going to work pointless.

GTKY: What are some bad habits people have that annoy you more than anything else?
using the word "done" instead of "did" eg "he done the work" DH says it all the time, it drives me nuts.
its the worst one I can think of at the moment

• @zdmd_14 aaah yes. Nothing like the canned response for student strengths. Or another one of my faves that case managers write into the strenghts section: "Joey enjoys playing video games." Really!? That's the only "strength" you could come up with!? Haha...I'm sure we could go on and on.
@pepperat ughhh sorry about CD1. I'm 99% sure I'm right behind ya. Enjoy your drinks tonight!
@partiallydomesticated sorry things have been so confusing for you. thinking about you this weekend.
