Wheezing

for the past few days LO has been making these wheezy gasping noises. She never seems distressed. And her breathing seems fine. My mother and her friends say she's just making a new sound she likes. She did this while back with gaging, scared me and DH. I'm just not sure and it's really bothering DH he has bad asthma and allergies. So he's worried she has what he has. She has a 9month check up in two weeks. But his distress is bothering me. Has any of your LOs done something like this?

    My son goes like that too but just for fun. He did it a couple months ago and then stopped and now he does it when he is excited. He had his 9 month visit 2 weeks ago and everything was good! Stay positive mama and if it concerns you ask your pediatrician but it could be a new sound she learned! Keep us posted mama! :smile:

    Our daughter does it and my husband and I have bad asthma and allergies also. Our daughter has signs of allergies and there is pollen and hay in the area. She has always coughed and wheezed though. I would watch the asthma and allergy signs and see if there are any triggers that are causing it and also ask the pediatrician. Even if it turns out it isn't a concern to the pediatrician, keep watch of it and and you can always see a asthma specialist or even allergist later. It is hard to diagnose asthma at this young of a age but I had it. Good luck!

    Update 

    I've yet to go to the appointment as its next week. But LO hasn't been wheezing anymore. It must have been a fad to her. She is now on to making popping noises with her mouth. I figured she was just playing around. And DH has finally calmed down about it. I'm still mindful about it though. But I'm sure it's nothing now
