"The things I do for my LO" LOL :)

Today has been rough. A storm kept baby and I up most the night.
These are the things I have done today to keep LO happy:
-sing ABC's & wheels on the bus(with hand motions) at the top of my lungs so I could go poop without him screaming the entire time.
-play peek a book, while freezing myself out of my shower, the entire shower.
-turn on classical music and play peek a boo while making my lunch(coffee was my breakfast today)
-spent over an hour trying 20 different ways to put him down for a nap.
-finally gave up, rocked him while we both watched an episode of CATFISH. He fell asleep about ten minutes in.

Hahaha my life!!! Normally, he's not this demanding. We were both up a lot due to house shaking thunder for hours last night. Anyone else kind themselves doing crazy things to keep the peace?

  • Nearly every time we are in the car - it's a nonstop mix of Rockabye Baby CDs and/or Elmo's Letter of the Day song. On repeat. Over and over. Is it weird that I'm starting to really like the songs? Lol

  • When LO is in her swing and I need to walk away to do something and she doesn't want me out of her sight, I turn on the music and walk away dancing all weirdly. I have to look crazy! Haha but she loves it!

im just glad I haven't had to do it in front of my husband yet!
  • Omg I love that you sang while going to the bathroom lol I talk to him too hahahah I scream the ABC's at the top of my lungs during his meltdowns so he can hear that I'm singing and it almost always works lol I blow raspberries while walking isles at the grocery store and people stare before they see the baby lol I dance like a fool when I'm trying not to eat lunch when he's fussy I keep Sophia the first one when he's napping because I've become a super fan lmao

A little off topic, but this is the one thing I do I never imagined myself doing:

Doing a smell "poop check" while out in public, while trying to be all casual and discreet. It makes me chuckle every single time because I know all the moms know exactly what I'm doing, lol.
  • I also sing really loud in the car when she is mad at her car seat. I have a horrible voice so it's funny that she likes it.
Also guilty of baby voice when out in public. I can't sing then, so my voice just goes up in octaves. I don't use "baby talk", I still use clear words, just in a funny voice. We were at the mall yesterday and she was getting upset in the stroller, so I started doing this. People gave me weird looks but I'm thinking "would you rather hear a baby screaming or me talking like this?"
