R/R/CS: I'm happy wto came up before work today. Otherwise I don't get to it until everyone is pretty much done for the day.
GTKY: Do you have any superstitions? Are you superstitious? I want to say no, but it's likely a lie. You don't say the 'Q' word at my work or it gets extremely busy! I believe people get more idiotic at a full moon. Stuff like that. Friday the 13th though is one of my favorite days ever.
WAYDTGKU: just starting temping this morning. Probably OPK after H leaves on his trip since they won't stress him out. Nothing really. Probably out this month anyway
R/R/CS: feel better today and dr visit to figure out this rash on my torso. Might ask some general questions about conceiving as well. Looking into some holistic stuff, more for stress but also for fertility. Not a lot of options around here.
GTKY: Do you have any superstitions? Are you superstitious? I have a mug that I don't like people drinking out of because it brings bad luck to the team.
R/R/CS: Ive been Mia because I'm so frustrated. Im on cd 18 (my norm for O used to be 18-20) and still not even fertile cm. yesterday I finally graduated from either dry or sticky to creamy. at least that's one step closer right? I have my first appointment next Tuesday and feel like it can't come soon enough. I've gone from the "I don't want to go" camp to the "ready to plead for a sooner appointment" camp. I need answers. My cycles are moving in the wrong direction.
GTKY: Do you have any superstitions? Are you superstitious? Im more ritualistic than superstitious but if my team is on a hotstreak and I've been doing the same things each time, I have to keep doing them. ETA. gif
TTC1: May 2015
Primary IF May 2016; Failed HSG; Scheduled Lap Sept. 2016
WAYDTGKU: PNV's, Met, BBT, OPK's and BD EOD start tomorrow!
R/R/CS: I am excited FW is here, I hate that boring part of WTO where nothing is happening. Last few cycles I have been between CD 14-18 so time to start HIO!
Non TTC related, so I mentioned yesterday about my sons height issue. DH and I talked about it and we decided we are going to wait until his next appointment which is in 6 months. If he is showing growth then everything is fine, if not, then we will explore going to the endocrinologist. After yesterdays appointment the office called me back and of course the dr they want me to see doesnt take our insurance and even if they did we are on this high deductible plan that I wish we could get off of, but cant unless there is a life event or open enrollment which isnt until November. So if we went it would probably cost us a fortune out of pocket just to run some tests that most likely will show that he is just short cause we are short. And since they changed the method of measuring him it makes sense to wait we think.
GTKY: Do you have any superstitions? Are you superstitious? Yeah kind of. If I notice its 11:11 I have to make a wish. I've been doing that since I was a kid. Also during football season I have to wear NYG colors during the game.
R/R/CS: I figured out my old username and password for FF. I linked my chart in my signature which has all my charts from TTC the first time. 9 cycles in 19 months, most ended with Provera. My temp is back up today so who knows what my body is doing. I know that it takes a while for your body to get regulated at BC so I'm not concerned at this point.
GTKY: Do you have any superstitions? Are you superstitious? None that I can think of currently.

@leekat14 Sorry about the rash!! Have any ideas what it could be from?
@sarah0985 Sorry for the frustration! Hopefully it's just a case of, you're normal until you're not? Though I know how unhelpful that feels. Fx for EWCM very soon!
Month/Cycle: 7/4
CD: 41
WAYDTGKU: Waiting for AF
R/R/CS: Finished up Provera yesterday. I've been on and off crampy since Monday night. Don't know if it has anything to do with the Provera or not. Hoping it's a sign I'll get AF sooner rather than later! IDK if Provera causes PMS like symptoms, but DAMN, DH was on my nerves last night. Once I'm home at night I don't want to talk/think about work. Once he's home, he needs to tell me about his day from start to finish. 95% of the time I listen and respond, 4% of the time I tune him out but act as if I'm listening, and then 1% of the time I can't fucking stand it and want him to shut up. That 1% was last night. Finally I was like, listen I love you but I just want quiet! Let's relax. Needless to say he called me mean. Which, I get lol.
GTKY: Do you have any superstitions? Are you superstitious? I don't like '666'. My mom instilled that one in me, thanks mom. But other than that, not really. I believe in good juju/vibes and bad juju/vibes. If that makes sense.
WAYDTGKU: Clomid + Ovidrel trigger + 90% sure we will do IUI #1
R/R/CS: I don't know if I'm going to keep checking in every day since I'm not going to temp or do OPKs or anything, I'm not sure I'll have much to say. But I do like doing the GTKY, so maybe I will, my posts will just be boring, haha.
GTKY: Do you have any superstitions? Are you superstitious? Not really. But I guess there are little things I kind of believe, like if I say it's been a while since I've had a migraine I will jinx myself into having one. And I will never, ever use my son being sick as an excuse if it's not true, because I'm afraid I'll be punished and he'll actually end up getting sick.

Probably going to post and ghost today- but I'll try and come back later! (Quick ? in R/R/CS)
Month/Cycle: 7 CD:9 (approaching FW- yay!) R/R/CS: I'm drinking RRL tea this month... that stops when I O, right? GTKY: I'm superstitious in the fact that I think it's possible to jinx something. I don't care about umbrellas opening inside, but if you say, "Oh we haven't had 'x' happen in a while," I will force you to find real wood and knock on it.
R/R/CS: It's that point in my cycle when I start getting excited cause I know stuff could possibly happen. Trying to contain the BSC but it seems to come naturally :P This morning I had EWCM but my OPK was negative. made sure we did the deed anyway
GTKY: Do you have any superstitions? Are you superstitious? I wouldn't say I'm superstitious but I do have a lot of anxious thoughts. like sometimes if something is going well, I'll try to do the exact same thing the next time to have the same result. I do things like that all the time.
R/R/CS: So yesterday I had an RE appt. to determine whether or not I've responded to the Clomid (because I didn't respond whatsoever to two different doses of Letrozole). Turns out I did! Three large and lovely follicles, ready to go. I'm so happy! I gave myself the Ovidrel shot last night, per my RE's orders, and it hurt! I didn't do it very well....I took too long, I think, and now that area is super tender. Ugh. ANYWAY, I should ovulate sometime today or early tomorrow, so I'll be heading over to the TWW (for the first time EVER, yay!) tomorrow.
WAYDTGKU: PNV's FF, HIO, giving temping a rest, it's starting to stress me..
R/R/CS: I FINISHED ORGANIZING OUR MASTER CLOSET AND MUD ROOM! I couldn't be more happy. I slept so well last night, and I know it was because everything was put away, decluttered, and clean.. I never knew such things could mean so much to me. LOL
GTKY: Do you have any superstitions? Are you superstitious? None that I can think of.. Sometimes if my horoscope says something I like to hear, then I will believe that, but idk if that's considered superstitious?

Month/Cycle: I'm just now getting off birth control. I'll count my cycle after my next period starts, which will be either today or tomorrow. I can't tell if I feel the beginnings of cramps or if my stomach is in knots because of excitement.
CD: Today or tomorrow will be CD 1.
WAYDTGKU: I've been practicing temping. Once the birth control is out of my system, I'll track my CM.
R/R/CS: I hate Oklahoma springs. I'm way too scared of tornadoes to enjoy springs. I've lived here my entire life, and luckily they don't tend to hit my area, but I have my storm shelter prepped and ready just in case.
Last night, we had some storms and a coworker came over with her two large dogs. I don't mind it, but one of them snapped at my teeny tiny toy poodle, who I love more than words can say. I'm definitely not ok with that.
GTKY: Do you have any superstitions? Are you superstitious? I wont allow a Ouiji board in my house. I'm not a fan of summoning demons. I also have some sage in case of emergencies.
GTKY: Not really. My family is huge on superstitions and I guess a few come out every now and then. Like knocking on wood or throwing salt over my shoulder.
WAYDTGKU: acupuncture, pnv, diet, exercise...that's it for now...
R/R/CS: I'm currently obsessing about my HSG on Friday. It's all I can think about. I'm just nervous they will find something, or they won't find anything and the RE will be super confused because I don't have a "classic" case of PCOS, and they will send me away and tell me I just need to keep doing what I'm doing. I'm just a big ball of nerves. The good news is that the extra exercise has been helping, I'm back under 200 lbs. I've lost 2.5 since Friday! I'm hoping to keep doing well so that I can be super happy when I weigh in again this Friday.
GTKY: Do you have any superstitions? Are you superstitious? I have OCD, so I have a lot of superstitions that don't make a lot of sense to people. My OCD doesn't really concern germs, but I do have rituals and whatnot that cause anxiety when I skip them or don't do them right.
Are you guys OK if I just hang in WTO until I get my next AF whenever that may be? I'm benched but want to participate.
Month/Cycle: 16/Benched

WAYDTGKU: Benched but still taking my PNVs. I may mess with OPKs in a few weeks to see when/if I O before next AF to come off he bench.
R/R/CS: I hate wearing pads. They blow. If you are a pad wearer by choice know I think you are mental.
GTKY: like @wino929 I am more worried about jinxing myself by saying the wrong thing or worried I might accidentally will something to happen. My Italian grandma was beyond superstitious. It was hilarious. No shoes on the bed, no open umbrellas, walking under ladders, fear of black cats, etc. She was suspect of people having the evil eye.

R/R/CS: Hopefully I have time today to comment on some
things! I’m just going through the
motions currently. I’ve been really
tired lately and I really need to get out of this funk. I think I need a day to two off for
vacation. I haven’t been off since October. Maybe I’ll do that today!
GTKY: Do you have any

grew up playing sports and athletes can be really superstitious. There are too many for me to even name. I’m also a little OCD which doesn’t help!

@sldp123 I’m
in the same boat as you I feel like with contributing to the board. I’m temping but I feel like it’s the same
thing from me every day and I don’t want to bring anyone else down. GL to you this cycle.
@FrancesGrace630
I’m thinking about doing acupuncture. I’ve been thinking about it for quite
some time. How do you like it? Have you
noticed any changes?
@sammajane19 I'm so excited for you! Congrats on the good follicles... at least the pain from the shot is worth the excitement of ovulating! FX for you!
Hopefully I'll have time to come and comment, I'm a work bumper. @wineo929 I've read different opinions on the RRL tea. But to be safe I stop at O. It causes uterine contractions to strengthen it and is said to possibly contribute contribute to mc because of this. I drink it up to O, then you can start again once past 1st tri.
R/R/CS: Still have a rocky chart and no coverline so I wait. Started opks yesterday, have to keep up with them as feb cycle O was cd14, last cycle O was cd44! Hoping I get a temp shift even with the crazy chart so I can see what's happening. Just Hio waiting for O so I can start using the preseed....have a better feeling about this cycle since I'm doing so much. Excitedly waiting over here
GTKY: Do you have any superstitions? Are you superstitious? I'm old wives tales superstitious. I'm the salt over the shoulder, don't walk under ladders, break a leg, broom falling = company type.

R/R/CS: another cycle! I had a rough couple weeks with anxiety/depression and then my ob RN told me when I called that that's probably why I haven't gotten pregnant yet. Really?? Cause that won't help the anxiety I'm really against taking meds while ttc and pregnant so we'll see how long I last without it. Also FTR all the research I've done says unless your in obscene situations of stress (war etc) anxiety/depression shouldn't mess with O or the ability to get pregnant. Still hurt when she said that though
GTKY: Do you have any superstitions? Are you superstitious? I guess I am. I can't get myself to buy any baby stuff or anything until I'm pregnant cause I feel it will jinx it or something. Little things like that make me a bit superstitious. Oh! My dad told me that you should always exit the same door you entered for good mojo and now I can't NOT do it lol like I need that in my life
@sldp123 please stay be you're still ttc! Good luck i wish you the best!
@mrsbinpa omg I hate tampons and never wear them I always wear pads lol
R/R/CS: I took some time off from TB towards the end of last cycle. It ended up being 40 days. I mentally exhausted myself with getting bfn's. When I finally told DH (yes I hid how much I POAS) he was pretty upset and was hoping this was our month. I know we are still early in the game and having his support was amazing, so I ordered wondfos and a new thermometer.
*Question* My cycles have ranged between 30-40 days since coming off BC in January. Should I start the OPK testing based off the shortest cycle?
GTKY: I would say I am more superstitious than most. I believe in Karma/juju. No shoes on the table, no umbrellas open inside.. I blame my mom and grandma.
CD: 47. If this gets to 50 I'm going to crawl under a rock.
WAYDTGKU: PNVs, BBT, that stuff.
R/R/CS: I've been on the hunt for a new job for a while now. Well... I guess H told his mom we were TTC because yesterday she told me that I shouldn't get a new job because I'll lose my maternity leave and how getting pregnant so super difficult for her (which I find hard to believe because she had 4 kids in under 5 years) and I'm just grumpy again today.
TL;DR - Me today.
GTKY: Do you have any superstitions? Are you superstitious? I can't think of any.
R/R/CS: I'm feeling pretty excited after my RE appointment yesterday. It's so nice to have to game plan in place and to know we will actually have a real shot at getting KU!! The RE will be starting me on clomid next cycle with a CD 14 trigger shot if I have some solid follies. I'm really hoping the clomid works because I'm not sure how deep into the infertility treatment pool we are willing to go.
GTKY: Do you have any superstitions? Are you superstitious? Only when it comes to work. I fully believe a full moon brings in the crazy patients and speaking the q-u-i-e-t word will make things crazy.

In other news, we are going to the in-laws tonight for a few days. Looking forward to a few days of distraction from my normal stresses

@DoctorDonna 2.5lbs?! That's amazing!! All that worry for nothing!!
@LadyMillil I hope your day gets better, seems you're having a rough one
@TwentySixth What brand of OPK did you get? Wondfo's have a chart that tells you when to start based on cycle length. I think it wouldn't hurt to start based on a 30 day cycle. Just in case you know? Better too early than too late!
@MamaMunn I feel the same way. I'm just waiting on AF so I can start Letrozole on CD 3. I'm really hoping the Let/Trigger/IUI work for us within 4 cycles because our insurance covers all of it and covers 0 for IVF. I also feel like, all my hopes are in this working. If it fails, we're open to the next step which is injectables, depending on cost. But IVF, that's something we'd have to seriously discuss and/or save for. In fact I don't even like thinking about it right now.
I ordered more OPK sticks today. I was excited that last cycle was shorter and more normal but with H being gone all next week I hope O decides to take its time!

R/R/CS: I have a had a headache for 2 days now. Boo. ALSO forgot to put my rant from last week when I was taking a break! So, my mom and I live in the same town, and we are patients of the same doctor. Now, I'm sure you all remember--I LOVE my doctor--but her actual office staff is the WORST. Since my physical in March, my doctor's office has accidentally called MY MOM with results of my medical tests, answers to questions that I have left on their voicemail, etc. The other day I had called to ask questions about my new progesterone cream (all it said was to "apply to skin" twice a day...uhhhh where?? and some other questions) and they called my mom and left a voicemail WITH ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS ABOUT MY PROGESTERONE CREAM. What the actual fuck?!?! I am so lucky that my mom and I are close and that she knows we're TTC, because if she didn't, she would have found out with that voicemail, and I would have been more than just a little pissed. I called my doctor's office to be like...stop calling my mom with my medical info, and the lady was like "oh, is that a problem?" Um YES. Pretty sure #1 it's a HIPAA violation and #2 just not cool. I was thinking maybe they thought I was still 15 years old or something so I said, "um, I'm 28 years old, please call me with my medical results and NOT MY MOTHER." She acted like I was crazy. I was so pissed.
GTKY: Do you have any superstitions? Are you superstitious? Not anymore...but when I was a teen I did these weird obsessive type things (IE I'd have to turn the shower on and off 3 times before actually keeping it on or else I thought I'd have a terrible day...weird stuff like that). I fortunately grew out of those.

WAYDTGKU: waiting to hear if I have to have surgery
R/R/CS: So I had my ultrasound yesterday to check on my fibroid. I haven't mentioned it too much here because I just didn't want to think about it. I didn't get good news. Though the tech isn't really supposed to provide any information, she was really kind and obviously felt bad once I told her that I was checking on my fibroid because we're trying to get pregnant. So she told me that there are now 3 fibroids (and she showed me as she was measuring them) and they are pretty much filling up the interior of my uterus. Needless to say, I'm pretty devastated. To find out that I essentially don't have space in my uterus to even hold a baby sucks major. I, like everyone here truly understands, just wanted TTGP to be having sex a lot, peeing on things sometimes, and then a few short months into it, getting a BFP and going on to have a healthy baby and ride off on a unicorn into a purple sunset! But now, the likely option is going to be surgery to have one or all of the fibroids removed. A myomectomy almost guarantees that I have to have a c-section when that time comes. In the grand scheme of things, if having this surgery and then having a c-section is how my baby gets here, then by all means, cut me open! But in this current moment I'm really pissed and really sad. I wanted a natural water birth with a midwife caring for me the whole way. I wanted my baby to be born and then placed immediately on my chest so I could look at them and marvel at something that really is a miracle. Knowing going into a pregnancy that on the other end a major surgery awaits me, that I won't even get to feel my body experience that power that I've dreamed of. It feels like I've been robbed. It feels like I did something to someone somewhere and now I'm paying for it. I know that I will do whatever needs to be done to have my healthy baby but still. I know I don't have to explain why even though I'd do anything for this person that doesn't even exist yet, I'm still really upset right now. It's gonna be a tough day.
GTKY: Do you have any superstitions? Are you superstitious?
I wish when I see 11:11 and I believe in good/bad "energy." When I was little it was all about not splitting poles when walking with someone or stepping on cracks.
R/R/CS: WELL, the lab just called (much quicker than I was expecting) and let me know that all my labs look good. So I asked her what the next step is because if everything "looks good" then why am I still not ovulating or even getting periods?? She told me to give it another month on the higher dose of Metformin (I went to 2000mg at the end of March or beginning of April but I've been on Metformin since January) and that DH needs to get a SA. Which he's fine with once he gets back from his TDY (thankfully when I originally told him he was just like "so I just have to jerk off into a cup?" And I was like kinda. And he goes "Cool!" And then high fived me). I'm not the happiest about these steps and that she's just making me wait longer buuut I just keep telling myself only one more month of waiting hopefully! But the other half of me is like
GTKY: No. I can't think of anything that I'm superstitious about.

Good of luck with the HSG! I was super nervous but my doc and the tech did a great job of just making conversation so it wasn't so awkward and uncomfortable. At one point the doc told me I needed to relax my butt and I spent the next few minutes trying to figure out how to do that (I think I wiggles my toes and the the doc said "nope that's your toes keep trying").
mine hurt because of the blockage, the minute the doc let off of the pressure the pain was instantly gone. Looking back I kind of wish I had told him to keep trying. I feel like I could have taken more. I talked to my RE (a different RE in the practice does the HSG) and she said that the one I had is known for not liking to see his patients in pain and is less aggressive. Her words exactly were "I would trust him to operate on my with his eyes closed, but when I have a procedure where we need to be aggressive I'll make sure I do it, or the patient is under anesthesia".
and whether or not they find anything, it is the REs job to help get you pregnant! They will not send you away (esp with the PCOs dx) and tell you to keep doing whatever. Have no fear!
Edited to add one more piece of advice: before the test they make you take a pregnancy test just to be sure. So make sure you are able to provide that specimen. I forgot and used the bathroom right before I left for the appointment. Then I sat in the waiting area literally chugging water until they called me. I took the test (duh bfn) and then changed into the robe for the test. Then I sat in another room for 20 minutes.... And I had to pee again! And I was too nervous to ask to go back to the bathroom. Just as I worked up the nerve it was my turn for the HSG. I think half of my nerves in the beginning were that I was afraid I would "let go" during the procedure!

WAYDTGKU: Charting and sex
R/R/CS: I figured out my old username and password for FF. I linked my chart in my signature which has all my charts from TTC the first time. 9 cycles in 19 months, most ended with Provera. My temp is back up today so who knows what my body is doing. I know that it takes a while for your body to get regulated at BC so I'm not concerned at this point.

@leekat14 Sorry about the rash!! Have any ideas what it could be from?
@sarah0985 Sorry for the frustration! Hopefully it's just a case of, you're normal until you're not? Though I know how unhelpful that feels. Fx for EWCM very soon!

CD: 3

WAYDTGKTFU: All the things
R/R/CS: I took some time off from TB towards the end of last cycle. It ended up being 40 days. I mentally exhausted myself with getting bfn's. When I finally told DH (yes I hid how much I POAS) he was pretty upset and was hoping this was our month. I know we are still early in the game and having his support was amazing, so I ordered wondfos and a new thermometer.
*Question* My cycles have ranged between 30-40 days since coming off BC in January. Should I start the OPK testing based off the shortest cycle?

@mylitta The "Q" word is a good superstition! Totally agree!!
@sara0985 I'll really be thinking about you for your upcoming appointment.
