blastocyst grading

hi,
Can anyone help with how the grading works.  We have a few frozen and one is graded as a 3AA w good quality. I reached out to embryologist, but thought in the mean time I could ask you all.

Re: blastocyst grading

  • If I remember correctly, 3 is kind of where the embryo is in the "hatching" stage, but don't quote me on that. Is it a day 3, or day 5? One letter grades the cells that will become the placenta, the other letter is for the cells that will become the baby. So AA is a rockstar!
