Braxton Hicks severe with full bladder?

Maybe this is just a coincidence but I notice anytime I'm out and about and need to pee even a little I start getting intense BH contractions. They usually settle 20 min or so after I pee. This never happened with my first pregnancy so I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?

    I don't know if it's related, but during the preterm labor prevention class I took, when experiencing contractions step 1 was to pee, followed by chugging water and laying on the left side. Perhaps the pressure from a full bladder makes them worse?

    Hmmm yeah I don't remember much from the class I took 3 years ago. That's interesting maybe they bring them on. I was at the park today with my DS and I was holding my pee for a while by the time I was leaving I was doubled over in pain could barely drive home.

    That's actually the only time I feel like I have them... So maybe I don't notice them normally. Every time I stand up with a full bladder to go use the bathroom, my stomach feels rock hard. I think it was the same with my last pregnancy, so I've always been sort of unclear on whether I was experiencing BH contractions or not.

    I noticed the same thing. My midwife confirmed that holding your bladder can cause BH. She suggested to pee frequently so I do the best I can to not hold it, which isn't alway possible since I have to pee constantly!

    Well glad I'm not alone. I pee like every 30 min at home but I notice it always happens when I'm out and about.

    Definitely! Being too active or having to pee does it for me!
