Meh, not for myself. Definitely for the mothers in my life though, of course. I would just feel weird celebrating it for myself since el bebe has not popped out yet.
We didn't do a big thing when I was pregnant with DD. he just gave me flowers and wrote something sweet like it still counts having a baby inside or out!
It sounds weird but my DH has gotten me cards from my dogs for years. We don't do anything special or gifts just a little doggie card with a "thanks for picking up my poo" or something along those lines. So my guess is he'll probably get some sort of card that is also "from" our LO this year.
I didn't expect anything this Mother's Day but H informed me yesterday that he would like to take me to brunch and do some other stuff for me this year, which I thought was incredibly sweet and almost cried lol. H has always gotten be a card from our pets which I always keep

@lizap77that's adorable. You're a puppy mama, after all!
I didn't have a Mother's Day the last time I was pregnant, but I did get DH a Father's Day gift the year before DD was born (a mug that says "worlds best farter... oops I mean father". I'm super mature).
The only thing I think is silly is women who treat it as a "women's day" instead of Mother's Day. My dad tells me his first wife insisted he get her Mother's Day gifts even though they never had kids. I do think that's a bit goofy.
My BIL is one of those gift-giving-challenged types who usually enlists my husband for help in coming up with something for his wife. Since she didn't know she was KU last year for mother's day (which coincided with their wedding), this is her first one. My husband was telling me that he was having a hard time not giving his brother all the ideas he had planned for me this year.
And that was when my husband and I realized that we had different opinions on when my first mother's day would be...
I am not celebrating for myself, but my dad got remarried in December and his new wife did not have children, so this is her first Mother's Day. I am going to tell her I am pregnant by giving her a Mother's Day gift that is a cute grandma picture frame with a picture of the ultrasound (if all goes well at my appointment on Thursday). I am pretty sure she is going to die.
I put no because I wouldn't do anything for myself, and I'm pretty sure there's a less than 20% chance that H would 1) remember Mother's Day is happening and 2) think to do anything about it.

This is #2 but when I was pregnant with our daughter my husband surprised me with a mothers day gift. Totally unexpected but so sweet just the same :-)
My mom makes mother's day super stressful so I try not to think about it being mother's day any more than necessary. I hate mother's day...

I hope for some small acknowledgement. DH told me Happy Mother's Day when I was pregnant with DS. And I think last year I was able to request a special breakfast. I don't need anything special but daycare always does something cute for both Mother's and Father's Day. I have his sweet little face on an ugly block of wood on my desk at work and love it!!
I don't plan on celebrating for myself, but we will be taking my MIL out for brunch. I made reservations at a trendy new farm to table restaurant that she has been wanting to try. I wish my Mom was here, but she lives on the other side of North America. I've sent her a few gifts and plan to take her out for dinner when I'm back home in mid-May.
No, but I am probably having my moms (mom and stepmom who are friends) over for brunch. I'm pregnant but I definitely wouldn't call myself a mom. Maybe a cat mom.
I kind of want to celebrate but just something small with my DH and I. We told our immediate families and closest friends but are waiting to tell everyone else until our next appt at the end of the first trimester (which I'm kicking myself for now because we scheduled it the day AFTER Mother's Day :P) So it'll still be a secret to most on Mother's Day. I have an awesome Mom, MIL, and two Grandma-in-law's so I'm ok with celebrating them instead-- they've earned it!!
We are announcing to his mother (as much as I dont feel like it) and my grandmother on mothers day. We get eachother small gifts or items we need or hsve been wanting for mothers day or fathers day from our fur babies. We're those kind of people!

This is a tough one. I hope DH does something small to recognize it for me. However I don't know how much I will feel like celebrating. Mother's Day is 6 months to the day from the loss of my first pregnancy. I have thought about going public with my current pregnancy that day but I am unsure.
I decided to get myself a "snoogle" (pregnancy pillow that will change your life!) and call it my "mother's day" present! My husband laughed, but if it makes my current state of mommyhood more bearable than I'm all for it.

This is really sweet of you. Definitely above and beyond the call of step-child duty. She'll always remember and appreciate you celebrating her like that.

When I was pregnant with my first, I remember going to Publix on Mother's Day and receiving a beautiful carnation from the cashier, who wished me a happy Mother's Day. I thought it was so sweet - I teared up. And the cashier wasn't some old sappy lady, it was a dude who must've been in his early twenties. DH also wrote me a sweet Mother's Day card.
On a side note **TW **
- my sister has been dealing with infertility (9 years) and we picked her to be my 1-yr-old daughter's Godmother. I thought that since she obviously hasn't had a Mother's Day celebration, it would be nice to get her a Mother's Day gift from DD. She loved it and I plan on doing this every year.

I did not celebrate it when I was pregnant with DD.
This year, DH is giving me the gift of sleeping as long as I want in the guest room (DD currently sleeps in a crib in our room) because I haven't had a good night sleep since she moved in with us (long story that involves hosting an international student and giving him her bedroom. I'm not a fan).
