Sequential screening

Did you find out the sex of your baby during sequential screening?

Re: Sequential screening

  • Nope.  The tech at the NT scan (at almost 13 weeks) said he'd look and see if he could make an educated guess but wasn't able to tell anything because it was just too early.  The bloodwork for the second part of the screen (16 weeks for me) only looks at the amount of various proteins in your blood to give an estimated risk of various issues.  I didn't find out the sex of my baby until 20 weeks at the anatomy scan.
  • Like other posters I did not find out until my anatomy scan since the sex isn't able to be determinable via an ultrasound that early.
