Guys, I'm so sorry! My DD had her 1st birthday party bash today and it was a whirlwind from this morning until now--when I was about to go to sleep and I realized that I forgotten to post the thread.
My petty problem is that we threw DD a big birthday party and I just...ugh, never again. The endless planning, organizing, people who don't RSVP, money spent.
My poor October baby is going to get a cake on a table with some Nutella
We stopped at McDonalds today after grocery shopping and strategically ordered so that everyone got Monopoly pieces and we didn't get any!! Not one single Monopoly piece. It ends tomorrow and this was my last chance at becoming a millionaire.
My husband and I are each getting time to grade at a coffee shop today (that's not the petty problem), but I chose poorly and mine coincides with the toddler's nap.
DH applied for a job at his company's corporate office. I've been looking up homes in that area, and they are 20-30k more than around here. I love my beautiful new build home, I want something similar but I don't have a bigger mortgage. This is both petty and cart before horse.
We came home from a weekend with family to discover that someone had stolen one of the new potted plants off our front porch. They went to all that trouble, and only took one, so I guess I should be grateful it wasn't worse, but I had spent a lot of time and a decent amount of $ this past week to make the front porch look really nice for the bridal shower I'm hosting Saturday, so I was frustrated. Who comes and steals a plant off your front porch though??? Seriously??!
@katlarissa I am guilty of pulling similar stunts as a teen. Potted plants, lawn gnomes, just odd items. Why? I have no idea, but I had quite the collection.
@katlarissa not sure where you are, but Philly is the absolute worst at this. A woman once stole a silly little pin wheel decoration from my mom's potted plant on the porch. My mom saw her across the street with it and yelled to her. She denied she took it or that it was my mom's! Even though the matching pin wheel was still in the other plant. How absurd. Someone even stole, not only the hose off the front of the house, but also the metal holder that was screwed into the wall of the porch.
My father-in-law is in town and, because he can't go one meal without meat of some kind, he bought frozen tempura shrimp from Trader Joe's and made it for dinner. Now our house smells like shrimp. It's grossing me out.

And I didn't get much sleep last night so I really wanted to sleep in, but I woke up at 7:30 to pee and haven't been able to go back to sleep.
