Upcoming appointments? Not for 4 weeks, just had my NT scan on Friday.
Rants/Raves/Questions: Rave: After a good NT scan, we decided to officially announce. It was very fun, and everyone was so supportive and excited!! Rant: Come on nausea, go away!! I can't wait until it disappears. I am still exhausted, but that doesn't bother me as much as the nausea and gagging.
Do you have plans to do anything baby related this week? I just found Lucie's List this past week, and my husband and I have been reading up on what is necessary. I'm guessing we'll end up buying a few things. We have also started cleaning out the office to change that over to a nursery. I hope I have the energy today to work on the room some more!!
GTKY: Do you want a big family or a small one? Is your choice different than the size you grew up with? I would like at least two children. I grew up as an only child and always wished I had a sibling I could play with.

Rants/Raves/Questions: tired, but that's the usual. My husband wants to do a fb announcement, so he had decided that we are going to do a mario theme. We're gonna dress my son in a mario costume and I ordered a shirt with the yellow ? box on the belly. I figured i'd let him have his fun.

GTKY: Do you want a big family or a small one? Is your choice different than the size you grew up with? I have a huge extended family made up of small immediate families (mom's one of 4 and dad is one of 9). We are "done" after this baby is born, but who knows what the future holds. I would love a large family, but finances and where we live wouldn't allow this.

Upcoming appointments? AFP test at 17 weeks
Rants/Raves/Questions: I had to choose another OBGYN because mine didn't do past first semester (I guess she was really GYN). So I chose one, and went in for my 16 week appointment at 15 weeks because she told me to go early... and the new doctor is being moved to GYN, AND he couldn't do the AFP test because it was too early. Literally all he did was say hello, get the HB on the doppler, and answer a few questions... which he really didn't have answers to. So I have to go again. Fortunately our insurance is great and everything is covered after the first visit/first copay, but it's annoying. I don't know which doctor to choose now and I may just switch to another practice altogether, which my original GYN is discouraging, of course.
Do you have plans to do anything baby related this week? No, but we do need to start getting the nursery together. Everything will have to wait until after my last final on May 10th.

I want three kids, but having my first at 40 after TTC for three years tells me I'll be lucky with two. We may adopt a third. We'll see what happens. I grew up with a brother and two half-siblings that are 18 and 20 years older and didn't live at home with us.

R/RQ: Surprisingly no! Rave I guess is Disney this week! Only for a day but I'll take it!!
Anything baby related this week? No except we plan to take our fb announcement pic when we're at Disney. Excited to finally post it. Once we do, I'll put it in the fb announcement thread : )
GTKY: As of right now we hope to have 3 kids. This is #2 for us, so we'll see. I also have 2 brothers and like that size. If money weren't an issue I would want more, but in today's world to give them the life I want, 3 is prob our max. Part of my reasoning for 3 is the more kids we have, the greater our chances one or two will be around when we're old lol

Felt some movement last week but only once. Starting to go nuts because I haven't seen the baby in awhile.

Nope. Last week of classes before finals, so I'm focusing on school.

I always wanted a big family but now I'm thinking small. Between my stepson and this baby, we'll be a family of four which is what I grew up with. I think I'll be happy with that so we're probably done.
Appointments: We see our homebirth midwife once a month. Next scheduluded visit in first week of May
R/R/Q: Rave: I felt him move yesterday!!!!! Rant: I still have this crazy problem that no one seems to be able to figure out where my tastebuds are nearly numb. Everything just tastes like a bowl of paper - super dry & tasteless. It's two full weeks of this now and I'm afraid I'm not getting enough nutrition, since I just can't seem to enjoy eating. Has anyone else had this? Please help!
Baby-related: I guess we should probably start reading birth books or finding a birth class. I'm almost halfway there! How did that happen?!
GTKY #kids: Both my husband and I grew up with one sibling. We'd both like a bigger family with 3 or 4 kids, although money will probably keep us at two. This is our first.

Do you have plans to do anything baby related this week? If all goes well at our appointment on Tuesday we will be announcing to all of our friends and on fb.

Everyone keeps telling us we will change our minds and want to have more kids, but who knows. We are both pretty set on having just one for now.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I have a raging headache today.. I know it's because we spent the majority of yesterday in the sun at the baseball game and I did not drink near enough water. Raves: I for sure felt little lady kick me yesterday!!!

I have two sisters but they are both a lot older than me (17 & 14 years older) one of them being mentally handicapped (which was nice in a way because as a kid I had a play mate), but I've always wanted my kids close in age and a few of them so that when my husband and I are gone they (hopefully, god willing) have each other..
@WildMama Have they tested your thyroid? When I was severely hypothyroid, I lost my sense of taste and smell. But I've also found that food to me just tastes like cardboard most days... I thought it was the m/s. It's been slowly getting better.
@UponAStar16 It's getting better, but I still have some bad days once in a while. I'm off the Zofran though, which is good because the constipation it caused was horrendous.

I think 2 kids would be ideal for me, as that's what I grew up with, but it's likely that we are going to stop at 1. And we honestly didn't think we would even be able to have one, so I am blessed no matter what.

Rants/Raves/Questions: Feeling so much better, but now dealing with headaches. Just went through the headache thread but it seems like everyone is trying the same things (staying hydrated, caffeine, Tylenol). I'll take the headaches over the constant nausea though!
