No teeth

My lo has been teething since she was 3mo old. Full on drooling and chewing and cranky. Now she is 7 mo and not one tooth. I feel so bad, is there anything I can do to help her? Is there a home remedy to soften gums maybe?

Re: No teeth

  • No teeth here either. Not sure of how to make it easier, we like Amber necklaces here but he doesn't wear it as much as my others did.

  • My boys started teething 2 months ago & only one started to cut the bottom 2 this week & they love to chew on their blankets & clothes. Other than that just their teething toys. Maybe offer her a cloth to bite on?
  • No teeth here, either - hoping we see some soon!

  • My daughter is still just gummin' it too.
  • DS has been drooling and chewing on everything since about 4 months and just this morning I saw a tooth starting to poke through!
  • LO has been teething since 3 months and finally cut his first lil nub of a tooth Monday (one week shy of 8 months). No suggestions here to soften gums but LO enjoys frozen apples in his mesh feeder.  Also I put ice water in his cup.  He hasn't quite gotten how to drink out of it but he likes to gnaw the spout and any other part thats cold
  • My LO will be 7 months tomorrow and has been teething since 3 months as well. I just introduced her to apples(whole slices) and she loves them too. I also put some of her bottle nipples and pacifiers in the freezer for when she's super fussy.
  • Same thing here, this actually makes me feel better because I was starting to think I've been imaging/ misdiagnosing things... I've been doing frozen apples in the mesh feeder too, she really loves them, I've also just put an ice cube in there when she was really distraught it seems to help...

8 months in a week and no teeth for us yet either! He's been a huge drooler and has chewed on everything in sight since he was a few months old, so can't really count on those signs to tell us when it's going to happen! I just hope when it does it's quick ... and not when we're on our family vaca in a month!
  • One tooth... with another one almost popping up again, all within the last week! 7.5 months and had been teething since 3 months. Didn't think it was EVER going to happen.
  • No teeth here yet. She is 7 months as of yesterday
  • Mine will be 8 months in about a week and a half. He cut his first tooth right around 6 months and the second one came through within days of the first. Once the teeth come in the drooling has been pretty much non existent. I don't think there's anything you can do to help them come in sooner. They can teeth for months before they ever actually cut a tooth. Mine drooled and chewed on everything for about 3 months before his came in. I have found that cloth seems to be his preference for chew item (usually my shirt, a wet washcloth while in the bath, or a Tula blanket) I would try different textures to see if maybe she has a preference that helps. Give her the frozen teethers, rubber ones, a wet washcloth, etc.. Until you find something she likes.

    No teeth here either!

  • Our LO has 2 teeth but I wanted to share that my cousins LO was teething hard for what seemed like forever and then one morning she noticed FOUR teeth all at once! They just popped up overnight! Maybe some of your LOs are just working on a bunch of them like hers.
  • None here yet. But his gums look super irritated. A girl at work's daughter didn't cut her first til 16 months!!! I couldn't even imagine!
  • You know, a lot of people said they will be swollen and such, but my LO now has two and I couldn't see any difference until the tooth popped up! Nothing was ever nubby or swollen.
  • I have heard that giving calcium and vitamin d supplements can help. It doesn't soften the gums obviously, but it strengthens the tooth so that it can cut through the gums easier. I can relate to you because my baby is also 7 months with no teeth and has been showing symptoms of teething for months now. I have also heard that the longer it takes for them to come in, the healthier the teeth are. Due to having more time to calcify before exposure to things that will make it decay. My oldest was a slow teether and he has super healthy teeth.
  • Little man cut his first tooth today, he will be 8 months on the 6th.

Ditto! But I can finally see the two bottom ones. They look like little blisters so I imagine they should break thru soon?
  • We are still all gums too, even though she's been teething for awhile! Orajel, cold teethers, and Tylenol if needed. Hoping to see a tooth or two soon!

8 months 1 week and we FINALLY have one bottom tooth that's broken through! It's not all the way in yet and seems to be taking its time, but it's definitely there. LO's been handling it really well, and when he's in pain, chewing on a cold washcloth seems to do the trick!
