We have decided on Brucelyn for our child. We chose this name as a Tribute to Bruce Jenner for his accomplishments because we both admired him, and to honor Caitlyn Jenner for the strong woman she is for overcoming her struggle in society today.

@Mintz1982 my name is really difficult to pronounce and I always hated having to correct people but that's because I was super shy growing up. I'm glad that your sweet Adeline isn't afraid to correct people. I love the spelling "Adeline" but I might consider doing "Adaline" because of the pronounciation factor. It's such a sweet name❤️ I can't wait to find out if we're having a little Adeline or an Archer.
So his first name will be Johnny (yes Johnny, not John, not Jonathan, just Johnny and it took entirely too long for us to at least agree on that so it is not subject to change) middle name unknown. FI suggested Cash and changed his mind thank goodness, but I am stumped and have no ideas other than "Grey". Short. Simple. I like it. LO's name is Jimmy Lee, so I was trying to keep some similarity that flows well between the two. They will only be 15 months apart. What even sounds good with Johnny?

Tough one! I could also suggest Walker for the mm spot
I really like that your names! The best mn I could come up with was Levi, but I'm worried it's too close to Lee.

DH comes home the other day and tells me he's maybe changing his mind on our baby boy's chosen name, Remy. I was like "NOPE!" We have TOTALLY different tastes in names (he likes kind of odd names, I like more traditional) and it was so hard to agree on one finally!
@SuperNerd42 I thought Levi too at first, but that is my step brother's name and subject to jealousy. I can't use Levi, James, David, Tyler, Robert, Allen, Beau, Don, or Harold (not that I would use Harold anyway!) That knocks out dad, grandpas, and brothers. I'm not dealing with those sissy boys whining about why "who got used instead of who" haha
Walker was also brought up and shot down haha FI called me earlier and hasn't fallen completely off the Cash horse yet. Why must this seem so difficult?
Slightly off topic, but anybody see any Jimmy's or Johnny's anymore that aren't already adults?
@AllyTheKid lol! I was kinda wondering about brucelyn. I considered telling some people that I don't like that I was using their baby name ( first and middle) just to screw with them.

@AllyTheKid I do know a sweet little Johhny who's 2. His given name is Johhny Alexander, which I love. I also like Johnny Isaac. Good luck! Let us know what you decide
@breweber2010 I know a 3 year-old girl named Finley, but I'd never heard the name before that, so I really don't think of it as a girl name. I think it's fairly gender neutral. We call our son Finn - short for Phineas.
Because our son has an uncommon first name (though I've met two other boys around his age named Phineas in the last three months) and a more classic middle name (James), we're thinking his brother should have an uncommon first name as well. My top choice is Gideon, but Maximus and Sebastian are also on the short list.
We've picked out our names: Lucy Nova for a girl- my boyfriend is a big Villanova fan and the last time they won the NCAA was the year he was born and now the year our first is gonna be born. Nova was thrown out as a joke but then we actually ended up loving it. Lucy Nova... I feel like it's a super hero name And Oliver Hank for a boy
@allythekid but really what about Johnny Elia (maybe elia is a tanzanian name? I'm actually not sure I know anyone in the states with it but it seems to flow nice) Johnny Kay Johnny Dylan Johnny Ezra
In case you couldn't tell I have a bit of free time...
I think we have semi-officially decided on the name Everett! Middle name Miller (my maiden name). I even got approval from the picky ladies on the baby names board lol. I am 99.9% sure at this point that this will be the name, but I'm a super indecisive person, so I feel like I have keep my options open in case I come across some magical amazing name I've never heard before But it's probably going to be Everett Miller P-----.

I do appreciate your precious time first and foremost! But I think I like Pony Boy a little more than those
We would love some suggestions on some short girl names! We do not know the gender, but already have a boy named picked. We have two little girls, Kenna and Emmy. So we would love a name to go with those two names.
@breweber2010I LOVE Everett!! Unique and distinctive without being TOO uncommon. I have it on my list of boy names, too...but the husband has used his veto. Though he likes Easton... Go figure.
I really want some HONEST thoughts on the name Reese. We always call the baby Reese Cup and then SO mentioned, omg I love the name Reese (not pronounced like the candy, lol!) and I like it too. I feel like it could go either way for a girl/boy.. I need thoughts!
Re: Super Awesome Honest Giant Baby Names Thread
I'll say, power to the Bruce/Caitlyn cause, but I wouldn't name my child after him/her/them?
FI and I have been trying to think of awful names with silly reasons to tell our family now that we know the sex so I was testing that one out here.

In Germany Sebastian is a common name often shortened to Basti (pronounced like baschti). I had an English friend who shortened it to seb.
DS#2 due 25 April 2019
It's a boy!
E born 6/2014
But I think I like Pony Boy a little more than those
We aren't telling the name to anyone so I'm excited to see her face when we tell her and waiting to reveal gender until after the baby shower.
