Don't laugh...I grew up in NC and they wouldn't even teach us about human reproduction in biology class because abstinence only education was all the rage. So. I know it's the vulva that we generally refer to as the vagina. But then...what's a vagina? Is the whole thing a vulva or is that a specific part? And baby descends down the birth canal then out the...vulva?
I'm ok with fallopian tubes, ovaries, and uterus, but we seriously didn't learn about female sex organs and I didn't take bio in college.
Re: I need an anatomy lesson
The baby comes out of the vaginal opening. The "lips" are the outer labia, and the littler lips are the inner labia. Your pee comes out of the urethral opening, which is a small hole kind of hidden under the clitoris/clitoris hood.

October 2015: missed miscarriage #2 at 11 weeks (trisomy 22)
It's not a pet peeve or anything, I just give props to parents who teach the difference.
IUI #1 Feb 2012= DS1 born 11/2012
Unmedicated BFP (first post-weaning cycle)=DS2 born 9/2014
Unmedicated BFP (first post-weaning cycle again)= EDD 11/2016
Let's not repeat our parent's mistakes.
PS- I might be binge watching Girls, so that's where this rant is coming from. It's not that people I know run around talking about their vaginas all the time lol.
Can I use this as a moment to rage against the horribly underdetailed sex ed that kids get in school? Ontario recently revamped its sexual education curriculum and parents were raging about it because it's a modern, comprehensive curriculum. It's not like keeping kids ignorant prevents them from having sex (it just makes them more likely to undertake risky behaviour and end up with a kid or STI.) My kids get books, and an open invitation to ask me questions about anything. My son is entering early puberty and he's had some really good questions.

I'm sad this thread exists but am glad people are willing to ask/answer questions! I also hate when people say vagina like it's the equivalent of a penis, actually it's not that would be more the clitoris but somehow that's dirtier to say
BFP #2 3/21 EDD 11/28/16
That may sound hard to believe since it's "that part that feels so good", but having a sexual dysfunction disorder makes everything feel terrible down there. I was kinda starting to think the clitoris was a myth after all -_-
I've actually never considered that lol. I've always thought of it more of the cherry on top
