  • How far along are you? - 7 weeks!!

What size is baby? - A Brookesia Micra Chameleon

Symptoms this week: Omg I literally am peeing every 2 hours, and I was definitely nauseous yesterday.

Rants/Raves/Questions: My blood sugars have been crap. They are going up by themselves overnight suddenly. Looks like I'll be changing my basal rates again.

But I have my ultrasound on Tuesday!!!! I just have to get through this crappy work schedule first! Ugh I'm so exhausted..

GTKY: What's your favorite TV show right now? Outlander! I'm so excited it's back on.

Symptoms this week: Tender breasts (as always), super tired, and oddly I've been getting cold easily.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I have my first appointment tomorrow!

  • How far along are you? - 5 weeks!

What size is baby? - Appleseed

Symptoms this week: trying to drink more water which is making me pee more. Also my boobs hurt like whoa.

Rants/Raves/Questions: None today! Hope everyone has a happy Thursday :)

GTKY: What's your favorite TV show right now? I'm LOVING Samantha Bee right now
  • How far along are you? - 6 weeks!!

What size is baby? - The size of a sweet pea, lady bug or chocolate chip!

Symptoms this week: I've been fighting nausea all week at work. Super tired and get wiped out from the smallest amount of exercise (zumba yesterday was like whoa!) Sore boobs at attention.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I've been having a smoothie first thing, nibbling on cheerios all morning, and drinking peppermint tea to help with the nausea. It's been really helping.

Every ticker change day I get all excited and read DH the post about the new changes for baby. I say aren't you happy? And he's like, I'm happy you are happy. What is it with DHs that they never know what to say? It's not as real for him since it isn't happening to HIM. We told his parents over the weekend and they were SO HAPPY and he was really happy then too. He is overworked right now and I should cut him some slack.

GTKY: What's your favorite TV show right now? We are currently catching up on Turn which starts again next week! @Sugargirl1019 I really want to watch Outlander (I've read all the books!) but don't want to pay $16/mo to watch it - so might wait until it comes out on Netflix. Loved the first season, although the characters aren't how I imagined when reading. Jaime is supposed to be head and shoulders taller than any other man and he looks like he MIGHT be 6' in the show. And Claire is too skinny. But I eventually loved the characters as they were acted. I thought the actor that played Randall was fabulous. (in a really creepy way).

How far along are you? - 8 weeks

What size is baby? - A raspberry

Symptoms this week: Still nauseous.  I got a break from it Sunday but its been back every day.  Worst when I wake up and then gets better as the day goes on typically.  Also still tired most days.  I hit a slump around 4pm and feel ready for bed around 8:30 or 9pm.

@karmba I also get cold easily, especially at night.

Rants/Raves/Questions: I already posted about this, but after my ultrasound last week, my spotting increased. So I was very happy and relieved to have an u/s again Monday and everything looked good.  The spotting has slowed down a bit, so hopefully it stays away.

I am really excited for this weekend because I don't have to work at all!  And my birthday is next week so we have some fun dinners planned with friends.

GTKY: What's your favorite TV show right now?  Embarrassingly I think Grey's Anatomy is still my favorite show!  I don't know what I am going to when it finally ends.
  • How far along are you? - 8 Weeks :)

What size is baby? - Strawberry

Symptoms this week: Still sore boobs.  Tired, mild nauseousness here and there.

Rants/Raves/Questions: Not much!  Just looking forward to my first ultrasound at 12 weeks.. Seems so far away!

GTKY: What's your favorite TV show right now? I've been watching a lot of HGTV lately, probably Fixer Upper being my favorite.. I love Joanna Gaines' style!!

  • ***Question in R/R/Q***

    How far along are you?
4 weeks...baby of the group, ha.
What size is baby? Tomato seed
Symptoms this week: Symptoms haven't really started for me. Just some boob tenderness and mild cramping now and then.
Rants/Raves/Questions: Scheduled my initial midwife consult yesterday! I'll be seeing her on May 9, which is just fine--I'm still very worried this baby won't stick, and so if I make it that far, the risk of MC will be around 5%. Good deal.

Hey, how far along did/will you guys start telling family members? My mom is a midwife and had been watching my chart daily, so it's no secret from her, or the rest of my family for that matter. But my husband wants to wait a bit longer to tell his side. Meanwhile, I'm dying to tell my in-laws they're going to be grandparents!

GTKY: What's your favorite TV show right now?  I'm currently hooked on Mad Men30 Rock, and The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Which is crazy, because all three of them have multiple actors that bounce around from show to show. Very full-circle, ha.

And on this note, anyone keeping lists of TV shows they're going to binge on during those day-and-night newborn feeding sessions? Downton Abbey is my priority, but I've also been told multiple times I need to watch Buffy.

  • @PensiveCrayon we should start a list of binge watching shows - you are totally right. I would totally do Downton Abby, and need some cheesy CW shows too. I hated Buffy when it was first out but I was a teenager I think and hated generally everything and SMG since my BF had a crush on her. <- Dork.

I would love to have saved West Wing for this time! I watched it while DH was on a 3 month work assignment across country. Maybe that is what I will save Outlander for - hopefully it is on Netflix by then

  • How far along are you?
    -  6 weeks! Woohoo!

What size is baby? - A sweet pea! <3

Symptoms this week: Sore chest, back pain and exhaustion. Like I took an hour nap after work and then pretty basically for up to shower and stayed in bed until the next morning...I get off work at 4.

Rants/Raves/Questions: Has anybody else totally ditched caffeine? I used to drink a ton of hot tea and switched to decaf since I know it's the better option. But oh my I could really use some!

GTKY: What's your favorite TV show right now? Fixer Upper!!!
  • @PensiveCrayon we told close family and friends in between 4 and 5 weeks. This baby is a true miracle from The Lord so we just couldn't wait! The news has been slowly going around beyond that. We have some excited family members ;) But we will probably tell everybody else after our first ultrasound, or maybe at the 12 week mark. We're not hiding it if someone asks, but no FB announcement or anything until then. :) Congratulations!
  • @PensiveCrayon welcome! We told my parents and in laws at the same time when I was 5 weeks. I wanted to tell my mom sooner, but DH felt it was a slight to wait to tell his mom. So we compromised.

We are waiting til 12 weeks to put it on Fb, but I already have told my "small group" and 2 pregnant coworkers so I can commiserate with them.

Also. Downtown Abbey!!!! I binge watched that a little while ago! Love love love it and am devastated it is over.

  • 8 weeks today! Size of a raspberry.

Symptoms: increased nausea (more like out of control gag reflex) but have not been sick, and it's not even nausea in the way you feel nauseous from a car or a flu, it's just... Gagging! The thought of gagging makes me gag. It's annoying and sometimes embarrassing hah. Otherwise, still sore boobs, vivid dreams (new), but food/smells are normal lately, no aversions, just altered taste buds. Possibly starting to get emotional (tearing up over happy thoughts).

r/r/q: finally feeling less obsessed with my pregnancy and life can go on again (studying/exercise/adulting)

gtky: just started Gilmore girls for the first time ever because it's on Netflix. Makes me so happy!! Can't believe I'm so late to the party.

How far along are you? -  8 weeks

What size is baby? - Raspberry according to bump but Strawberry according to other apps lol. I know it's somewhere in the 15mm range.

Symptoms this week: constipation and diarrhea, food aversions, waves of nausea, dehydration, some fatigue but not as bad as in the beginning, and my new favorite - acne. Breaking out like a teenager.

Rants/Raves/Questions: None so far. Just worried about gestational sac size but I saw other ultrasounds on TB where the sac looked a lot like mine and those women's Dr's didn't say anything, and again mine wouldn't have unless I asked so maybe i'm overreacting. Can't wait for my last RE ultrasound next Thursday!

GTKY: What's your favorite TV show right now? oh gaawwd...I watched almost everything on Netflix, finished Law & Order SVU and Criminal Minds, Fixer Upper, Beat Bobby Flay and a ton of other shows.

@PrettyPalomino I loved that show but my heart broke in season 2 and I had to read how things ended and was so not happy with the turn the show made. I cried. lol. So i'm just waiting for the new Gilmore Girls addition and will watch that but it hurts too much to watch.

How far along are you?  7 weeks

    What size is baby?  Blueberry

Symptoms this week:  Nausea and fatigue primarily.  I called my OB and got a prescription for Diclegis since I was experiencing all day nausea, which is helping a bit.

Rants/Races/Questions:  I'm in countdown mode...one more week exactly until my first appointment.

GTKY: What's you favorite TV show right now?  I'm with @lrg14, Grey's Anatomy will always be my favorite probably.

@leksiL, I love Outlander now, but it wasn't an instant love affair for me either, unlike the books.  Out of all the characters cast, Sam Heughan (Jamie) really had to grow on me the most...not at all what I pictured in my mind as Jamie reading the books.  I really like him now though, and I think he's done an admirable job.  You're right, Frank/Jack Randall was superbly cast!

@PensiveCrayon, I don't mind rewatching shows, so I'll go back and binge watch Orange is the New Black, Dexter, Glee, Grey's, Mad Men, One Tree Hill, and Vampire Diaries periodically.  I don't have them, but wouldn't mind rewatching The OC or Dawson's Creek again either since I haven't seen them in years...of course I might hate them now.

  • How far along are you? - 8w

What size is baby? - raspberry/strawberry depending on the source

Symptoms this week: nausea if I don't eat often enough

Rants/Raves/Questions: Work is nasty these last 5 weeks of school. Everything is jammed in, so I have about 3 week evenings that don't have something work related going on.

GTKY: What's your favorite TV show right now? NCIS is always a favorite. Cutthroat kitchen is a good fall back, along with Bones/L&O:SVU/Num3ers.

    Sidenote of current books:
I just recently finished all the Percy Jackson books and they were awesome!!! I am picking up Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underworld again as the last one comes out next month.
