Thoughts on Coralie

It's not even in the top 1000 in the US, according to the SSA, though from what I've read, it's more popular in France and Quebec.

It's nice. The only issue I can think of is a potential pronunciation issue- Cora-lee vs Cora-lye

I also like Coraline, but not as much as Coralie. I think my issue with Coraline is that the -line ending blends too much with other -line names for me. Adeline, Madeline, Emmeline, Caroline, etc, even if they're not necessary pronounced the same.

It's on our short list for girls, but DH is resistant because he said it feels like a mouthful to say and for some reason can't quite say it the way I hear it in my head. Ugh, men.

I don't think my H says it right either haha. At least not to me. When I say it, it sounds smooth and flows nicely. When he says it, it sounds choppy, like "Kor-Rah-Lee".

I do think that some people want to say Cora-LEE.
