Showing

I might be mad but I feel as if I'm showing. I'm ten weeks today on my first child and by no means thin to begin with but none of my jeans fit comfortable on me anymore and iv had to invest in some maternity jeans. Is anyone else in the same boat?

Re: Showing

  • Yep. I'm 9 and a half weeks and this blump is starting to look like a baby bump and I love it. I'm pretty sure the progesterone is helping it along. I'm hoping I can make it another 3 weeks til I get my Panorama test back and have my NT screening before anyone notices. I'm wearing lots of long flowing cardigans in hopes of covering it up til then!

  • This is my second pregnancy (that's made it past 8 weeks) and I'm in maternity jeans. How quickly you show depends on so many things like number pregnancy, height, and just genetics! I have friends that show clearly at 10 weeks and some that don't show until 6 months. Everyone is different!
  • The progesterone definitely helps with the blump. My blump is starting to round out now instead of being fluffy, so it's becoming more obvious. And my chest ballooned 2 size in what seems like overnight. And I just hot 12 weeks.

I got some maternity clothes, but finding some of it isn't fitting quite right because there's not enough of a bump. I have been making due with some regular clothes that are a size bigger than I normally wear. Things that I'll be able to wear after while I'm working on getting back to previous size (if that will ever happen, aha). You might be able to get one of them belly bands and make your clothes last longer, I just didn't find it comfortable.
  • My first pregnancy, I didn't really show until 17 weeks when I announced.  But this one?  I'm 9.5 and already starting to show a little; strangers wouldn't notice, but it's pretty visible to my husband and me.
  • My first pregnancy I went into maternity pants pretty early on just because I was so uncomfortabel with the bloating and didn't like how the buttons on my regular pants dug in.  This morning I changed about 8 times finally ending up in a dress because I felt like I'm showing (though I'm only 8.5 weeks so I'm sure it's bloat).

    Our Journey:

    DS born 12/16

  • I can recommend these pants if you aren't ready for maternity pants just yet.  I bought 2 pairs of these last time and they are perfect (IMHO) for the blump!

@TwandaFTG  I have these pants in black and am wearing them right now! Actually I've been wearing them almost every day because they're the only comfortable work pants right now!

Edit: And I'm not showing at all, just bloated  :/
