Dizzy spells

anyone else getting lightheaded? I have had 4 dizzy spells since Friday. I took my blood pressure and its in low 90s/65ish. Anyone have tips on how to combat this? Half my "spells" I was already sitting, so it's not like I was getting up too quick or anything....

Re: Dizzy spells

  • I would call your OB since it seems you have had many since friday.

  • @searchingforameaning I've had the same thing over the past week, not sure how many weeks you are but my OB said around 22 weeks you hit the lowest your blood pressure will be during your pregnancy. Drink plenty of water, that has a lot to do with the dizziness most likely. Drink water and put your feet up if you can, if you're dizzy for an extended period of time I would call your OB.
  • Agree with @jkershaw2013 that's what my OB told me when I was pregnant with DD.
  • Drink lots and lots of water. Eat many small meals and eat often. Also make sure your prenatal has iron in it.

  • I've been having this issue a lot over the past week as well. I'm now 23 weeks so it's good to know it's probably just blood pressure. I've noticed if I sit with my feet up, drink a lot of water and just get my mind off it it'll go away. I spent the past three days out in the hot sun and therefore had the worst dizzy spell today. Once I was able to rest indoors with some water I felt a little better.
  • I got really dizzy and almost passed out the other night and had to sit down.  It was bad, but this actually makes sense/makes me feel better!
  • I get these almost every morning. And it's from low bp. It really sucks because mine happens right when I get to work and I have to go lay on the floor for a while until it passes. :( Doctor said it's very normal unfortunately.
