Re: FTM Weekly Check-In 4/20
How many weeks do you have left until baby comes? Tomorrow I am 20 weeks so I have 20 weeks left if baby comes on time!
Have you felt baby move yet? I think I finally felt him move this weekend. Its not strong but I am sure its him.
Any good or bad advice given this week since last check-in? No advice this past week which I am okay with.
What expectations did you have for pregnancy before being KU and have these changed now? I thought I would be puking my guts out, have severe cravings, and glow. I had very little nausea and the few times I did hurl I don't think they were pregnancy related. I haven't craved anything and to me its no different than normal cravings people have pregnant or not. Where the hell is this GLOW I feel cheated.
Do you plan on having a baby shower? I feel selfish and really want one but I will not throw one for myself nor will I ask someone to do it. I live out of state and in the process of moving to another state before or after baby (Military). Family would be the one to host and I don't think I will be able to make it home for one let alone ship or drive all the goodies.
Do you plan on taking work off and being a SAHM or going back to work after maternity leave? Due to us moving either before baby is here or shortly after. I will be taking time off until baby is 6-7 months then I will be trying to go back to work. Hubby and I like having a certain lifestyle and having one income let alone a military income isn't going to cut it. I would get bored anyways and enjoy what I do and plan on finding another position like this one wherever I go.
GTKY Question of the week: Any babymoon plans? I planned on taking one but have no idea when and if we can now. We need to save for the move since it will be across two countries.

It's a BOY!
How many weeks do you have left until baby comes? Around 22 weeks
Have you felt baby move yet? My doctor said the flutters in my stomach that are making me feel seasick are almost definitely baby moving around in there
Any good or bad advice given this week since last check-in? "Go take a nap." Sure it's pretty generic advice, but I needed it!
What expectations did you have for pregnancy before being KU and have these changed now? I was expecting to love being pregnant and cherish every moment. I am decidedly not loving it! I miss the sports I played, the energy I used to have, and the medicines I used to take!
Do you plan on having a baby shower? yes, but I'm hoping for a coed one or at least one that's in the house while the men are out back. I just want a regular gathering really.
Do you plan on taking work off and being a SAHM or going back to work after maternity leave? I'm in school right now. I'm in the middle of finishing up my pre-nursing courses and applying to nursing school. Depending on which school I go to I'll be taking either a semester or a year off.
GTKY Question of the week: Any babymoon plans? We're not really planning a babymoon with me taking classes through the summer, but we will, thankfully, get away to a cabin in the Poconoes with our friends for Memorial Day weekend
How many weeks do you have left until baby comes? I'm 19w 5d so about 20 weeks left!
Have you felt baby move yet? Yes
best feeling in the world
Any good or bad advice given this week since last check-in? Not really!
What expectations did you have for pregnancy before being KU and have these changed now? I definitely expected it to be fairly close to normal life, I didn't think I would be so sick I had to take time off school. In general its just been so much harder than I expected. I really don't like being pregnant, but I love it too? its a love/hate
Do you plan on having a baby shower? I am officially having 3 showers, 1 small with friends and 2 huge family ones because me and my guy have big families.
Do you plan on taking work off and being a SAHM or going back to work after maternity leave? I'm finishing my degree online so I can be home with the baby.
GTKY Question of the week: Any babymoon plans? Nope! We may do a little something but nothing planned so far.
How many weeks do you have left until baby comes? I'm 17 weeks, 6 days...so 22 weeks left!
Have you felt baby move yet? Yes! Mine have been kicks and jabs...not these magical "flutters" other mommies talk about.
Any good or bad advice given this week since last check-in? I wrote this in another thread but someone said, "Isn't it a little early to be showing?" recently. Not really advice, but it stuck with me.
What expectations did you have for pregnancy before being KU and have these changed now? I didn't realize that the exit of one symptom (morning sickness) paves the way for the entrance of another (nosebleeds). I feel like I'm in a revolving door of negative symptoms!
Do you plan on having a baby shower? Yes! In August.
Do you plan on taking work off and being a SAHM or going back to work after maternity leave? I'm an attorney and will work from home (I have remote access on my laptop) during my maternity leave. I definitely plan on going back!
GTKY Question of the week: Any babymoon plans? We have trips to Destin, Seaside, and a spa planned this summer!
How many weeks do you have left until baby comes? 20w2d! Which means I'm almost halfway there! I'm looking forward to seeing the countdown move down to the teens and then single digits. Ahhh!
Have you felt baby move yet? Yes! Feeling baby girl every day now, especially on my bladder. It's adorable and exciting, no matter how uncomfortable it is. Haven't felt her on the outside yet so looking forward to that next.
Any good or bad advice given this week since last check-in? Not really!
What expectations did you have for pregnancy before being KU and have these changed now? Oh, my, I was definitely waiting for the glow. I thought I'd look beautiful and that I wouldn't show until 20-something weeks because I'm overweight. Turns out I popped at 14 weeks and look like a whale now. I'm scared of my bump because I look 6 or 7 months pregnant and feel embarrassed when I have to say how far along I am. And the glow is anything but. I have acne and my face and chest are blotchy, I feel like I'm growing a beard, I fart and burp 24/7, I snore super loud, and, of course, the whole looking like a whale thing.
Do you plan on having a baby shower? My friend is throwing me one but I'm scared that no one will show up. I'll be about 32 weeks so I'm also not looking forward to the heat. But I'm excited about seeing my friends and getting cake!
Do you plan on taking work off and being a SAHM or going back to work after maternity leave? I'll be a SAHM probably until the last of our kids goes to school (knock on wood). I get bored a lot at home now but I've always wanted to stay home with the kids and I love teaching LOs so I'm looking forward to it.
GTKY Question of the week: Any babymoon plans? Not really. We're trying to save as much as we can for baby. We've got the registry set up but want to be able to buy everything off of it (we're not expecting people to buy us every single thing) and still have a good cushion left for medical bills as my insurance is not the best.
How many weeks do you have left until baby comes? 22 ish
Have you felt baby move yet? Yep! Little jabs and mostly flutters!
Any good or bad advice given this week since last check-in? No
What expectations did you have for pregnancy before being KU and have these changed now?
Okay, bear with me. I'm all about the end game. I never wanted to be pregnant. I've always wanted a family and to be a mother, but pregnancy and all it entails has always scared me completely. In my ideal world, the stork is a very very real thing! Unfortunately, babies aren't delivered by God via majestic birds
. I truly expected that I'd hate every aspect of pregnancy. I'd hate feeling like my body was taken over. I'd had feeling fat. I'd be gassy and swollen and just overall gross. But it's really not that bad. I mean I am gassy, but I'm not super swollen. I don't feel like my body has been taken over, more that it's creating something new. I'm not loving it all, but I'm not hating it as much as I thought I would. I guess going in with negative expectations really helped
Do you plan on having a baby shower? I'm going to have somewhere between 2-5. My sister and BF have already planned theirs and a few other people have offered but haven't really locked anything down. So here's my shower breakdown
Sister's - for my side of the family
Bestie's - wanted to invite everyone below BUT because so many people offered, she'll just host my close friends.
SIL's - mentioned she wanted to host one, but hasn't actually said anything regarding dates or invite lists so I'm not sure where she's at
DH's friend - also offered and wanted to do one with JUST his close friends, but never brought it up again
DH's co-workers want to do a diaper party, but DH's co-workers wives/girlfriends all want to come, too so it might end up being more of a co-ed thing.
Do you plan on taking work off and being a SAHM or going back to work after maternity leave? I'll be taking 12 weeks off and then going back to work. No desire to be a SAHM. At all!
GTKY Question of the week: Any babymoon plans? We went to Florida with my family recently which was sort of but not really a babymoon. It was more like a vacation and I happened to be pregnant.
How many weeks do you have left until baby comes? 20 weeks and 4 days left (145 days, according to the countdown on my phone!)
Have you felt baby move yet? I think so? I've had a few feelings that have happened on multiple days, but I've also been gassy...hopefully I can put a feeling to a visual at my a/s next week.
Any good or bad advice given this week since last check-in? Nothing new.
What expectations did you have for pregnancy before being KU and have these changed now? I didn't expect this lull where I have no really troublesome symptoms, but also don't feel movement yet. I certainly don't forget I'm pregnant, but there are days when I finally almost understand those people who don't know until way late. (Except, I still don't understand not noticing no period for that long...)
Do you plan on having a baby shower? Likely 3. I've already had a friend of my mom offer to do one, but I know that my friends back home will likely not drive to the suburbs to hang out with older people they don't know. No actual offers yet, but a lot of them were already talking about gifts at the announcement a while back (we're the first reproducers in our group). I guess I'm technically just assuming my friends/coworkers where I live now will want to do one, since no one has said anything at all yet. I'm not worried either way, it'll just be a lot to schedule if they all pan out!
Do you plan on taking work off and being a SAHM or going back to work after maternity leave? I'll be moving sometime ~July/August, and I am a teacher. I don't feel comfortable trying to start in a new school system the month before I'm due, so I plan to take the first year off. We'll see after, but I'm currently expecting to go back after that!
GTKY Question of the week: Any babymoon plans? Nope. Not only will the summer be busy enough, but it isn't anything I had even heard of before joining the Bump. Likely, DH and I will be travelling to visit friends and family before LO arrives, but nothing specifically as a last-chance romantic getaway thing.
How many weeks do you have left until baby comes?
19.5 if I were going full term, but since it's twins, it'll almost definitely be less.
Have you felt baby move yet?
Yep! They've been wiggling and kicking!
Any good or bad advice given this week since last check-in?
Nope. Apparently people don't feel the need to give me advice very often. I guess I can't really complain.
What expectations did you have for pregnancy before being KU and have these changed now?
I thought that I'd have a much tougher time, but it's been surprisingly easy so far. I was expecting morning sickness at the least.
Do you plan on having a baby shower?
My MIL and SIL are throwing me one sometime in June, although I'm not supposed to know that.
Do you plan on taking work off and being a SAHM or going back to work after maternity leave?
I already stay at home, so no change.
GTKY Question of the week: Any babymoon plans?
Nope. We talked about it but decided against it since everywhere I want to go is a no-go because of Zika or because I'll just be hot and miserable and not feel like sight-seeing or doing much in the way of activities.

How many weeks do you have left until baby comes? Well, we are half way there! So a little less than 20 weeks. That sounds oh so soon.
Have you felt baby move yet? Maybe. Maybe. I think I felt a kick or two last night but it could also have been my intestines trying to get their shit together. Unclear.
Any good or bad advice given this week since last check-in? I've been listening to a lot of pregnancy podcasts and it really resonated with me how natural child birth can be. The podcast said it was a team effort between you and baby and that our bodies generally know what to do. That somehow felt reassuring to me.
What expectations did you have for pregnancy before being KU and have these changed now? I didn't expect myself to have as many symptoms as I have had. I feel super pregnant all the time and it's just foreign to me. I don't even remember my body pre-pregnancy anymore
Do you plan on having a baby shower? Yes! Two of them. One in mid-June and one in early August.
Do you plan on taking work off and being a SAHM or going back to work after maternity leave? I will be returning to work but only part time.
GTKY Question of the week: Any babymoon plans? We took our baby-moon earlier this month! Kauai. It was wonderful! Except that I got bit by a freakin mosquito and have been paranoid about Zika ever since.
How many weeks do you have left until baby comes?
20.5
Have you felt baby move yet?
I felt a couple punches tonight for the first time! Definitely felt like baby but still want to feel it more to be sure
Any good or bad advice given this week since last check-in?
I've been struggling with feeling lightheaded and said at work "this baby is sucking the life out of me" and someone said "yeah it's only the beginning!". Thanks lady, as if I didn't feel crappy enough now I'm so excited for it to get worse
What expectations did you have for pregnancy before being KU and have these changed now?
I thought I'd be sick a lot and I wasn't sick at all. I also thought I'd show a lot sooner. I guess I didn't realize how long it takes to show your first time... I've just started getting a bump the last week or so
Do you plan on having a baby shower?
My SIL has offered but it will just be a casual coed BBQ at our place with about 12 people
Do you plan on taking work off and being a SAHM or going back to work after maternity leave?
I'm lucky cause I'm in Canada so I'll get a year off. I plan to go back to work but I want to already be pregnant again when I go back! Depending on how well we can manage on DHs income, I might consider extending my leave (at my work you can take a second year off unpaid) after the second child
GTKY Question of the week: Any babymoon plans?
Nope! Trying to save money for the baby
How many weeks do you have left until baby comes? I'm 17 weeks now, so just under 23 weeks left
Have you felt baby move yet? YES! I have been feelings things for a little while but attributing to gas, but on Monday afternoon I felt some movement that was definitely not gas. So excited to finally be able to feel him
Any good or bad advice given this week since last check-in? Not that I recall
What expectations did you have for pregnancy before being KU and have these changed now? I thought I would have a lot more weird cravings than I actually do.
Do you plan on having a baby shower? Yes. My mom and sister are planning a party but it's going to be couples invited so it won't be like a traditional shower and just more of a party
Do you plan on taking work off and being a SAHM or going back to work after maternity leave? I wish I could be SAHM but financially it isn't in the cards. I plan to take 12 weeks off
GTKY Question of the week: Any babymoon plans? Nothing yet. We will probably go for a long weekend to somewhere within 3 to 4 hours from home
How many weeks do you have left until baby comes? 21!!! AH!!!
Have you felt baby move yet? Yup- only internally so far. It started a few weeks ago with flutters, and now I've got flutters and some occasional somersaults and jabs. It feels amazing!
Any good or bad advice given this week since last check-in? My idiotic boss telling me to eat fast food to save money because she can't afford to give me a raise/doesn't recall committing to giving me one when I was hired/whatever other stupid ass reason she will be pulling out of her ass tomorrow.
What expectations did you have for pregnancy before being KU and have these changed now? I had wanted to wait one more year, realistically, to finish grad school but at the same time I wanted a baby so badly! I thought I would be a miserable sick mess, but I've felt pretty damn good and I'm absolutely loving it! I can't believe how something so small can make me feel so zen any time it flutters, or that I would be so in love with someone I've never even met!
Do you plan on having a baby shower? Heck yes! Trying to help my family plan something super cost effective since finances are super tight for everyone.
Do you plan on taking work off and being a SAHM or going back to work after maternity leave? I plan to take maternity leave- 3 weeks totally disconnected and then working part-time remotely from home, adding actual days in the office one at a time until January when I go back full time after the holidays.
GTKY Question of the week: Any babymoon plans? Man I wish! At the most we may take a couple of days to go up to my father's cabin in VT. We just can't afford a real vacation, or time off, right now
How many weeks do you have left until baby comes? 21 weeks to go!
Have you felt baby move yet? No sadly, every time I think it might be baby it turns out to be gas! I can't wait until I can start feeling the baby move.
Any good or bad advice given this week since last check-in? No, not much advice has been given to me luckily.
What expectations did you have for pregnancy before being KU and have these changed now? Like @RG1I also thought I'd have morning sickness and have a bump much sooner. It's been a nice surprise but strange because when something this important is happening I'd expected to have more symptoms than the gas and constipation... It has been nice not showing yet so I haven't had to talk to people about it unless I want to and my clothes still fit. I'm sure that will change soon enough.
Do you plan on having a baby shower? Yes, my MIL and friends are throwing one together for me at the end of June. My work will probably do something small closer in August.
Do you plan on taking work off and being a SAHM or going back to work after maternity leave? I'll be taking about 14 weeks off (coming back after New Years day). I'll start back at 20 hours a week and build up to 30 hours a week and may stay at that. We'll see.
GTKY Question of the week: Any babymoon plans? Yes! I'm so excited about it and feel very lucky about it too. We bought tickets before finding out we were pregnant so it's a surprise babymoon. Two weeks, one in London and one in Paris.
How many weeks do you have left until baby comes? Technically 22 weeks, but I'd be happy delivering early! I'm terrified of a giant baby!
Have you felt baby move yet? Yeah! I feel so lucky, I felt him kicking at 14 weeks and today for the first time I felt him kick my hand on the way to work!!
Any good or bad advice given this week since last check-in? Nope
What expectations did you have for pregnancy before being KU and have these changed now? What's KU? I expected to be sick all the time and didn't get sick once. I didn't expect to be showing so early but I'm trying to be proud about it.
Do you plan on having a baby shower? Yep, but it's not planned yet.
Do you plan on taking work off and being a SAHM or going back to work after maternity leave? I had always thought I'd want to return to work PRN to keep myself in the loop, but since hubby is deploying right after I'll be SAHM for at least six months. I'm trying not to look back and consider it a blessing and get excited about it, as well as my husband being gone.
GTKY Question of the week: Any babymoon plans? We already babymooned to the keys, it was great! Rock the bumps in those bikinis!
How many weeks do you have left until baby comes? 22 weeks
Have you felt baby move yet? Just barely felt some little flutters a couple days ago but haven't felt anything that I know for sure was the baby. Jabs and pains here and there, but I just can't tell yet.
Any good or bad advice given this week since last check-in? A mom friend of mine told me to learn how to ask for help and not to feel like I have to do it all. She was really kind letting me know that sometimes the simplest things will push you over the edge and you don't have to ask for friends to help with anything big, if someone coming over and helping you fold the laundry while you breastfeed will make you feel a million times better, then do it. I thought that was GREAT advice because often we all think we have to keep it all together and be superwomen and supermoms so that is definitely something I'm going to try to work on.
What expectations did you have for pregnancy before being KU and have these changed now? Call me naive, but I actually believed it when people called it "morning sickness". I had no idea that it could be all day, even taking a shower requires so much energy that you have to nap right after kind of sickness. Luckily I'm finally feeling the 2nd trimester ups and have tons more energy and vegetables don't taste like absolute sh** anymore. I guess I just really didn't expect pregnancy to be so intense right off the start. Now I feel a lot more relaxed about life looking perfect and going according to schedule. If the house gets a little disheveled because I need a nap, then so be it.
Do you plan on having a baby shower? That was one of the first things a girl friend of mine claimed as hers to plan lol I really just want a small coed bbq with close friends.
Do you plan on taking work off and being a SAHM or going back to work after maternity leave? Yes, we decided I'm going to stay at home and mom it up. Although I already mentioned that I may want to look at working a couple days a week somewhere just to keep my sanity if it ends up being a bit too much.
GTKY Question of the week: Any babymoon plans? No. My boyfriend just started a sign business with his old boss who is a successful screen printer. They are already slammed and I just don't see us being able to make the time this summer. I may try to convince him to do a weekend getaway though
How many weeks do you have left until baby comes? Hmm lets see.. 23 weeks? I hardly feel pregnant, but that feels so soon!
Have you felt baby move yet? I don't think I've felt anything yet, but I'm only at 17 weeks tomorrow so it's still early. Hoping to feel something soon!
Any good or bad advice given this week since last check-in? I don't think I've really had any advice, but I have had just about everyone on the planet asking me if it's a girl or a boy. I get it that people are curious but I never realized how many times I could be asked the same question in one day! I guess I should get used to it for the next few months.
What expectations did you have for pregnancy before being KU and have these changed now? I expected to have more symptoms -- to have more morning sickness, etc. I've honestly felt relatively good so far. Of course the exhaustion has been killer, and the nausea was bad at times, but nothing like the horror stories I had heard before getting pregnant. Now just waiting for this bump to really pop -- I think I underestimated the amount of time I would just be walking around looking a little chubby!
Do you plan on having a baby shower? Yes, one that will be hosted by my mom/friend, and it will likely be at our house. I haven't decided yet if I want ladies only or if I want a co-ed, back yard casual type of thing. Either way it'll be pretty casual as that's just the way I prefer!
Do you plan on taking work off and being a SAHM or going back to work after maternity leave? I plan on going back to work if I can.
GTKY Question of the week: Any babymoon plans? We'll be heading out to the Pacific Northwest in about a month -- Seattle and Vancouver, BC. I'm so excited! I love that region and am really excited about Vancouver, I think they're both going to be just gorgeous.
How many weeks do you have left until baby comes? 22!
Have you felt baby move yet? Flutters and occasional sharp pains so I'm assuming that's her in there...yesterday there was some really weird tap tap tapping on my lower side....had to be her tapping away! So neat.
Any good or bad advice given this week since last check-in? I read an article advising you not to tell your employer what in stone you plan on doing after baby...because many times people change their minds and there's no way to predict what you will feel like. I am going to take that to heart and hopefully come back part time but may stay home full time although I love my job and can't imagine that now. Nice to know I don't have to decide this second.
What expectations did you have for pregnancy before being KU and have these changed now? I just wanted to get prego SO BADLY that I really wasn't thinking what it would be like at all. I expected the weight gain, but not the exhaustion/nosebleeds/body aches and all the other weird symptoms. Still so happy about it though so trying to remind myself of that when I feel bad!
Do you plan on having a baby shower? Yes my aunt and our two moms and putting something together. It will be at this really pretty venue right on the beach and all ladies with a nice brunch. Really excited about it!
Do you plan on taking work off and being a SAHM or going back to work after maternity leave? Like I said above, hopefully come back part-time! I work on the water in a very low-stress, fun environment so I def want to come back...my husband is good with whatever I want to do.
GTKY Question of the week: Any babymoon plans? I think some little weekend get-aways this summer. Mountains in May!
How many weeks do you have left until baby comes? 22 weeks. I'm planning a scheduled c-section at 39 weeks due to some past surgeries.
Have you felt baby move yet? I think? Some taps every once in a while. Lately I've also had what feels like a gentle steam roller going from one side to another. If it's not baby, it's definitely baby related (organs adjusting?) because I've never felt that before.
Any good or bad advice given this week since last check-in? Had some wonderful supportive advice from some coworkers last week. Unfortunately I can't recall any of it other than that it felt supportive!
What expectations did you have for pregnancy before being KU and have these changed now? I hoped to wait closer to 20 weeks to share the news. I didn't expect to start showing so soon and enough to wear maternity clothes at 13 weeks. I also didn't expect to feel the way I do about returning to work (see below).
Do you plan on having a baby shower? MIL is throwing one when we're in town in June. Scheduling conflicts mean it will be on a Saturday evening so not sure how that will play out. Happy to be having one though even if some people can't make it
Do you plan on taking work off and being a SAHM or going back to work after maternity leave? I'll be returning to work after 12 weeks, but only 2 mornings a week. I always thought I'd want to completely not work the first year, but I started to get nervous about that. 2 mornings a week from Jan-June seems like a no brainier and I know even if it feels hard, it's what's best. I think I'm the type of person that will need that balance and that it will in turn be best for baby and DH too.
GTKY Question of the week: Any babymoon plans?
We're doing a weekend camping trip next month. We're also thinking of staying in a hotel for a couple of nights during our June Chicago trip, in the spirit of a babymoon. Otherwise we'll be stays with a hodge pose of family/friends that week, sometimes apart from each other. We met in Chicago so I think making sure we get some special couple time there will be nice.
How many weeks do you have left until baby comes? 22 weeks
Have you felt baby move yet? No, still waiting
Any good or bad advice given this week since last check-in? Nope
What expectations did you have for pregnancy before being KU and have these changed now? The pregnancy glow, somehow insomnia, constipation and fatigue was never mentioned.
Do you plan on having a baby shower? Yes family is planning to host it.
Do you plan on taking work off and being a SAHM or going back to work after maternity leave? Going back after maternity leave
GTKY Question of the week: Any babymoon plans? Planned to go on an alaskan cruise but the cruise liner doesnt allow 24+ week
How many weeks do you have left until baby comes? 21 weeks and 2 days. Almost halfway there!
Have you felt baby move yet? Yes. She even kicked my husband in the face the other night, and he felt it lol.
Any good or bad advice given this week since last check-in? People don't really give me unsolicited advice yet. I'm mostly figuring stuff out on my own.
What expectations did you have for pregnancy before being KU and have these changed now? I'm going to be honest. Ever since I was a child and understood what babies/children are, I didn't want one. Ever. I never ever wanted to be pregnant and never envisioned myself as becoming a mother. Pretty much all of this stems from not having good relationships. I never believed I would be in a healthy enough relationship with anybody to possibly want to have children with them. I thought if I got older and changed my mind, I would just adopt, as I feel/felt it was selfish to bring more children into a world where so many go without love and care. I never wanted to be married, I never wanted a family. I didn't think I deserved one and I didn't think I'd be good at having one. Then I met my husband, and uh... here I am. Lol. I am happy that I'm starting a family with him. He remains the only person on the planet that I am willing to go back on those thoughts for. He will be an outstanding father and he already is a perfect husband.
Do you plan on having a baby shower? Not if I can help it. I really hate parties and having attention on me. I went to a co-worker's baby shower and just having that many people in the room (even though they weren't there for me) was pretty awful. I couldn't imagine being the center of attention with all that going on. I'd probably cry and run screaming from the room.
Do you plan on taking work off and being a SAHM or going back to work after maternity leave? I'm going to be a SAHM, yet another thing I never thought I'd want to do. But my husband and I both agreed that this is the best course of action. I will be going to school to finish my degree, and if I can't handle not working, I'll go back when I feel like I'm ready and the kid can handle it. We want to avoid this if possible, however, because my husband and I both had very terrible experiences with childcare as children and don't want to put our kid through that. Plus it's expensive, I'd basically lose my entire paycheck just to afford daycare, so what's the point?
GTKY Question of the week: Any babymoon plans? Nope. Can't afford it and don't really want to travel at the moment. Lots of things up in the air. No idea when they'll settle.
