Carter Lennox Ingram was born on April 6, 2016 at 4:46 pm at 39 weeks 4 days weighing 7 lbs 6.2 oz and measuring 19.5 inches. I was induced at 8:15 am with pitocin and the doctor breaking my water, had an epidural around 11:15 am and began pushing around 4:30 pm. After 4 great pushes he popped out and my life will never be the same. He's such a blessing to my family. Overjoyed with Gods goodness
Logan Ray was born at 12:50 am on 04/10/16 at 38+5. I was in labor for 8 hours from the time my water broke til he came into this world. Roo was 6lbs 7oz and 20 inches with the longest toes and fingers I've ever seen. I'm just so glad I finally get to hold him.
Our team green March baby turned into a team pink April baby on April 8th at 41w2d! Claire Christine was 9 lbs 8 oz and 21.5 in long! She wasn't tolerating labor very well and did not tolerate pushing so after 12 hours of labor we had a c section. Definitely did not go as planned but over the moon for our little girl now
Welcome to the world Elliott James. 7lbs 10oz and 20-3/4" long. Coincidentally went into labor as we were going in for induction. Water broke on its own and after about 8 hours and 25 minutes of pushing he was here!
We welcomed Rohan Leo on April 8th at 11:23 a.m. via scheduled c section at 39w, 1d! At 8 pounds, 3 oz, he is my smallest (though all 3 were 21 inches). Nothing compared to the moment when his older brothers came in to meet him. Our whole family is smitten!
Iris Quinn made her grand debut on April 11 at 12:16pm. She's 6lbs10oz and 19inches of adorable squishiness. From first contraction to birth was a little under 8hours. When we finally got to the hospital I was 9cm dilated and barely got an epidural in time before starting to push. Our L&D team was amazing and were really the ones that got me through the hour and a half from getting into a room and delivering
Autumn Leona arrived on 4.10 at 6:15pm. She weighed 6lbs 13oz and is 19ins. After 12 hours of no progress past a 3 on my own, I agreed to pit as long as an epi happened first. At 6 I was 5cm and she was here 15 minutes later. We didn't name her until just now, and ultimately let the other kids choose the name. It fits with her red hair!
Here's Magnolia Rose Barrey, born 4.8.16 at 11:10pm at 41 weeks. We came in for a scheduled induction at 7:10pm on the 7th. Doctors and nurses at the hospital all assumed she would be in the 7 lbs range. One midwife predicted 9lbs, which the rest of the staff laughed at.
So I ended up pushing out an adorable 9 lbs 12 oz, 21.5" little sweet pea. NBD.
The Beatles Within You Without You was playing when her 13" head came out, and by the time the rest of her was out, The Fool on the Hill by The Beatles was her song. As dad held her for the first time while the doctor struggled to get the placenta out and sew a stitch or two, David Bowie's As the World Falls Down from Labyrinth serenaded us all.
Our team green has turned pink!!! Introducing Indie Wilder born 4/8/16 at 7:43 pm and measuring in at 6 lbs 14 oz and 20 1/4". She was exactly one week early and we could not be more in love with her!!!! Edited to add detail... Water broke on Thursday @1:30 am but no signs of labor. My membranes were stripped 12 hours later and contractions began. After the allowed 24 hours of waters being broken I had only progressed to 2.5 so we opted for an epidural and pitocin despite hopes of an Unmedicated birth. I pushed Indie out at hour 43 and was instantly in love. She came out without a blemish because she refused to come down until the very last hours. While my body was ready she was just too comfy! . Cheers mamas!!
Our team green turned PINK! Sienna Jade arrived 4/10/16 at 7:30 pm. Had intermittent contractions entire day then finally water broke at 4 pm arrived hospital 5 pm and she was here !!
Our beautiful Eden was born this morning at 8:51. My waters broke at 6am and birth progressed at lightning speed. No epidural or painkillers for me. and the waters they were with meconium. She swallowed some but She's on the improve, so tired will write more soon were in love
Wyatt James born 4/12/16 8lbs4oz. 20 inches long. Got to hospital 9:30 last night, was dilated to a 5, having consistent contractions. Water broke around 6am, started pushing soon after, and lil man came at 7. Damn is he cute!
Baby Oliver arrived April 11 at 3:32 am, weighing 8 pounds 7 ounces, 22 inches long, and five days before his due date. Consistent contractions brought me to the hospital on the 10th at around 4 pm but at 3 cm wasn't progressing much. After rupturing my membranes and still not much progression, got oxytocin and an epidural around midnight and then things happened fairly quickly. 7 minutes of pushing and he was here! Finally have our rainbows baby back home and things are going well. His big brother loves him and thinks he's the cutest thing ever. We do too !
Mason Anthony was born 4/12/16 at 37w 2days via c-section after 32 hours of failed induction issues (birth story to follow in another thread).
He coos gently in his sleep constantly and I could listen to the noises he makes all day long. His daddy was instantly his biggest fan, and I'm so inspired to see how amazingly my husband has bonded with his son so quickly, it brings tears to my eyes
Dempsey Gordon was born on April 12th via C-section after failed induction. He is latching really well and seems very happy. Even though things didn't go to plan, it's so easy to forget once you hold them!
Beau Everett arrived 4/12/16 at 8:41am after 3 mins of pushing! 6-8 hours of active back labor before that and ANOTHER retained placenta but it was all worth it for this 8lb 4oz, 21.5" bundle of love! He was 9 days early! Can't wait to get him home with his big sis!
Sadie Magnolia was born 4/6 at 12:44pm. Induction started at 4pm on 4/5. At 7am the midwife broke my water and the contractions intensified big time. I got my epidural at 8:30am and started pushing at noon. 44 minutes later Sadie graced our world. She was 6lbs 0.9oz and 18 1/2" long.
Vincent James was born 4/12/16 at 9:35 PM. My big boy came out at 8 lbs 9 oz (almost 2 lbs more than his big brother was) 20.25 inches long. I was scheduled to be induced on 4/13 for my history of shoulder dystocia, but my water ended up breaking while I was at work on 4/12.
Unfortunelty, Vincent ended up getting stuck at the shoulders just like his older brother. He was stuck for about a minute and ended up having his left clavicle break. The entire situation was terrifying, since I actually knew my baby was stuck this time around. I had four doctors/nurses/midwives moving my legs and pushing on my stomach to help get him out.
He's currently doing well, though a little fussy from pain.
Thomas John was born at 4:29pm. i went to the hospital at 11am for a scheduled 4pm repeat c-section. I started having consistent, regular contractions every 2-3 min apart around 1:30pm and was 2cm dilated, fully effaced. Just before taking me down to the OR, the OB checked me again and I was 5-6cm. He broke my water at 4:02pm, was fully dilated at 4:15pm and pushed 6 times before delivering at 4:29pm with help of the vacuum as his heart rate was dropping. We wouldn't have made it to the OR. There was no time for the epidural either! I got my VBAC and did it unmedicated, which was extremely painful but extreamly empowering.
8lb 1oz. 19.5in long. We got to go home 6 hours after he was born. It was so nice to sleep in my own bed last night when I had expected to stay in the hospital until Thursday.
Dietrich Alastair was born yesterday (4/13) by induction due to possible placenta failure (not the case!). Doctor broke my waters and started pitocin at about 10 AM, labor began at about 10:45, and he was born at 3:46 PM! I was able to give birth without any pain meds or epidural as I had hoped. Not getting much sleep, but we enjoying our precious little boy so much!
First bath!
Sucking both thumbs at the same time...kid has talent!
At 10:32pm on 4/13, we welcomed sweet little Fiona Elizabeth into the world by induction at 41 weeks. Though we may have jump started things, she was waiting for no one when the time came! After trying to go without an epidural, I dilated to not even a 5 (from 4cm...) in 5 hours of intense contractions. I chose to get an epidural to avoid potentially needing a c-section from exhaustion. My body FLEW from less than 5 to 10cm in under 2 hours once the epi was placed. I had little pain but felt deep pressure with each contraction and could tell she was coming fast. Sure enough, my midwife could barely get gloves on and in position, as she started crowning and came with barely a push on my end in 2 minutes. She looks so much like her big sister and her soft baby skin and smell are intoxicating
Welcome to the world, Annaleigh Jeanne! Born this morning 4/14 at 9:02, at 38w2d via C-section, weighing in at 9lb 6oz and measuring 20.75". We love her so much and can't wait for her big bro to meet her!
Clara Nicole arrived at 2:06pm via C section. She weighed 8 lbs 9 oz and is 19.75 inches long. She is daddy's sweetheart and pretty laid back. I can't believe she's all ours!
Thomas James was born at 12:03 a.m. on 4/14/16. Just three minutes shy of sharing her birthday with her Uncle. He was 8 lbs and 20 inches long. L&D was a whirlwind- 3 hours from first contraction to a baby in my arms. I had intended all along to go med free and I did, but I did try to give up. With the speed of everything, there was no time. Thank goodness for DH and my Midwife. I had some problems regulating bleeding and the placenta didn't want to come out. Recovery is pretty rough this time around and my body was rocked pretty hard. Thomas is a dream baby and is a powerful breastfeeder. So, all's well that ends well. The first pic was from my midwife appt on Wednesday where I ugly cried about not wanting to be pregnant anymore (hence the glasses haha). Who knew I was less than 12 hours from then until delivery! And the second is my sweet little man.
Haddie Ingram born 4/15 at 5:29 am. 7lb 1oz and 20& 1/2 inches long. My labor started with hard contractions the night before around 7. Every three minutes for a full hour so we called our friend to watch our almost three year old and we're off to the hospital. About an hour later we had dilated enough to 4cm that they admitted us. I labored a little longer, took two rounds of fentenol and finally an epidural. Once I had the epidural, my husband and I could sleep a little; the contractions were coming pretty hard and fast and we thought labor would progress quickly. By 3am my water broke and I dilated to 7. The nurse thought we'd take anothe hour to get to ten, but half an hour later she said I was there and crowning!! They had to call the on call doctor from HOme and I had to breath through what felt like the need to push for about 10 min. (He lives close evidently). When he got there I pushed maybe 6 times through 2 contractions and she was out! It was a beautiful birth and she is doing very well,
Meet Jayde Elizabeth. Born 4/16 @ 11:19 am 8lb 7 ounces 20 inches long. Got up at 6:30 am went to the bathroom felt fine. Crawled back into bed and DH asked if it was baby day. I told him nope, not even close. Not five minutes later I had my first contraction. Had four in an hour before I started timing them. Labor was four hours start to finish. Got to the hospital at 9:26 am and was checked 15 mins into arriving, and was 8 cm. My water hadn't broken yet so I was able to get a spinal block. She did have meconium in her water when they broke it, and pooped again as they were pulling her out. She's has had two dirty diapers since. Big sister loves her and throws a fit if we don't let her hold her.
Welcome to the world our sweet little Lola Finlay, on April 16 @ 2:09 p.m, weighing 7lbs 12 oz. Lola came after being induced and 30 hours of very painful contractions and hard labour. Finally after 3 hours of pushing (& a failed epidural) the doctor came and used suction to get her out. We were team green but I had completely convinced myself and my husband that we were having a boy. We were so shocked when she came out! She has the longest and the daintiest fingers we have ever seen. Her daddy is a bit of a snuggle hog but I just feel so blessed that God gave us this sweet little bundle.
Team green turned blue. Patrick was born on 4/16 at 10:48am after 2 1/2 hours of pushing. Water broke at 2am on 4/16 and contractions came shortly after.
Our Levi Hawk decided he couldn't wait until our RCS to meet us and his big brother. Weird cramping and overall not feeling well Friday (38w 2d) sent us to L&D and by the time I got there my contractions were 2-3 minutes apart. OB admitted me and this sweet little guy was born a few hours later at 5:30am, 7lbs even and 20 inches long on 4/16. He is just the sweetest and his big brother already loves him. I can't get enough of him.
Elias was born 4/13 (38 wks 3 days) at 5 pm. We left the hospital 4/15 sometime in the afternoon. Mommy, Daddy, and Big Brother are so happy to have our sweet little man home!
Grayson Isaac was born on April 15 at 9:22 am. at 39 weeks via c section. He was 10 pounds and 19 inches long! Everything went smoothly and we're now waiting to be discharged tomorrow. Nothing out of the ordinary, just a standard C Section and hospital stay. I was not expecting such a large baby. No wonder I was so miserable! He is so worth it.
Claire Jacqueline joined us this morning at 5:16am after a very long weekend. She was smaller than expected at 7#9oz, but a very long 22 1/4 inches!
Basically nothing went according to plan - I'd hoped to go into labor on my own and have a non medicated vaginal delivery. Instead, I was induced Friday night at 40 weeks with a balloon and pitocin for preeclampsia. Dr broke my water a bit after noon on Saturday to discover I had polyhydramnios (excess amniotic fluid), which is likely why I went from measuring on track to measuring 3 weeks ahead starting at 32 weeks.
Once my water was broken, contractions went from barely noticeable to so painful and nonstop that I literally couldn't catch my breath and thought I was going to pass out. Thankfully the anesthesiologist was able to get there quite quickly, but even so, the last few contractions were just nightmarish. After that, things were uncomfortable but far more bearable. Unfortunately, despite laboring with the epidural from about 4pm until 4am Sunday morning, I only progressed 1cm. I also started retaining all the fluid from my IV and my cervix began to swell. So, dr recommended c-section and was able to make it happen quite quickly. By that point I was rather thankful to not have to push for potentially 2 hours to get her out!
Claire's half brothers got to meet her late this morning and I think they are just as smitten as DH is
Andres Esteban was born 4/16/16 at 8pm, 1 day past his due date. That morning my mucus plug came out and then I kept feeling gushes. I wasn't sure if my water broke or not. We went to the hospital and confirmed, even when I was not having any contractions. Contractions started once we got there. They intensed around 7 and he came without an epidural or pitocin before the doctor got there. Our awesome nurses delivered him. 2 hours before we discharged his bilirubin levels were high and was admitted to the NICU. We are still nursing every 3 hrs and hope to go home soon
Wyatt Connor born today 4/18 via c section. He is 8lb and 15 oz. Did very well with his first feeding and sleeping right now. Mommy is super tired and nauseous. Very itchy from pain meds.
Lucy Marie was born at 11:30 this morning, coming in at 7# 11oz, 20.5". She's squishy and perfect and not at all potato-like. From start of pitocin to her arrival was 4 hours. She was ready to go, and big brother is seriously smitten.
Ryker was born 4/18 @ 5:49. He's a big boy at 8lbs 2oz & 21 inches. I went in for my prenatal appt at 1:45 and he was here 4 hrs later! He's so smooshy and gingery and so far a terrible breast feeder!
After a quick induction and delivery we welcomed Juliet Lorraine to the world. 6lbs 10oz and 20 inches long. This is number 4 and has completed our family!
Re: April 2016 Birth Announcements
ETA stats because I'm too eager!

He is a voracious eater, breastfeeding for 40-50 mins every few hours. And he hardly cries at all, just stares out with his big green eyes!
